Problems with design/ quality – My D 140 was purchased about 3 years ago. Problems with design. Cruse control knob is on right side, so you can't. rest your leg against the housing for very long.. stems which require a second pass to cut. Cutting deck paint peeled off a small section. Hood falls out of housing when opened fully. It is easy to use, was given as a gift. I myself ,would not have paid the higher price for a John Deere. I don't. think the extra money for the name is worth it. Note:Even under warranty, you have to pay the cost to get it to the dealer for repairs. My cost, if I needed would be $100.00 I don't. know if this is standard for other brands, I think it should be picked up with no charge, if defects are uncovered with use, within a reasonable time.

okay – Took it to the dealer and they said some small part inside the engine had broke. We rolled the mower when driving it up on the back of the ute to transport it and it still works just as well, surprisingly. Now, its showing the same symptoms as two years ago and not starting again. I'm getting rid of this damned tractor and never buying John Deere again.  Show details

Great! – We rented on acreage for a long time and the push mower was taking so much time. This mower is amazing and we couldn't be happier. We rolled the mower when driving it up on the back of the ute to transport it and it still works just as well, surprisingly. We live on a small property now and this still comes in handy and does the job super fast!  Show details
