Good value and cooks well – Wasn’t too hard to assemble but apart from the instruction manual there was no instructions on how to use oven. Nothing on line either. Through trial and error we managed to produce 2 burnt pizzas then 2 perfectly cooked ones. Pretty happy with the quality and I would recommend it as it’s not bad value. Show details

good for the price – good pizza oven for the price of $300 you can pay heaps more for a pizza oven but this one from Jumbuck does the job, great for a couple or a small family, heats up fairly quick and cooks the pizza in about 5min depending on how much stuff is on the pizza. Took me about an hour to assemble the oven which was mostly the base the oven comes already… Read more

assembled, you will need two people to lift the oven onto the base and to secure the oven to the base, then your ready to go

Not impressed – I make pizza almost every weekend in the standard kitchen oven and get pretty good results at full heat. We bought a dedicated pizza oven thinking we'd improve cooking times and results but quite disappointed with the results. I waited for the temperature to stabilize at 250c and put the first pizza in. It took way longer than expected to cook, I… Read more

was expecting 3-5 minutes but I'd estimate it took 10-12 minutes. It's a relatively attractive appliance and looks to be reasonable quality but I don't think it achieves the temperature required to get great pizza.

Not hot enough – The oven states that it will reach 350c however after an hour we could only get to 282c with a separate temp probe, dissapointed, took it back to Bunnings for a refund Show details

Very poor product – Cheap nasty product, temperature takes forever to heat up, have resorted to cooking pizzas back in kitchen oven and no longer use pizza oven as it takes too long to cook. Beware rust! ours is always stored under cover and has rust all over it after 5 months which is not covered under warranty Regretful buy!  Show details

Perfect - Ful time off- grid – Bought this oven in spite of other reviews (and only because of suggested 'fixes' and significant discount from major hardware store). Works perfectly. Checked temperature against other thermometer and it was pretty close. Used to bake bread, cakes, roasting and oddly enough pizzas. Very happy with it (and can't spot previously mentioned issues). If there is one problem it would be finding the correct temperature. Shame it's discontinued.  Show details

No more paying for pizza – We received this pizza gas oven as a gift, at first took a bit making the pizza through to sliding it onto the pizza stone; now got it down pat. Best gift, no more having to buy pizza, dominos, pizza hut or wooden fire pizza, we do it ourselves. Recommended if you love pizza, you won't look back!  Show details

Wow wonderful Pizza's – Great pizza oven, was given the gas version as a birthday present and I am very impressed. Forget about pizza delivery do yourself a favour and purchase one for yourself and then consider buying one for family and friends. Looking forward to cooking other things roasts etc. Not precision fitting from stand to oven but improvised and got it… Read more

together with great results. Having read other reviews I must agree this is value for money and you won't be disappointed. Get to Bunnings as quick as you can if they are still at a reduced price!!!! Don't worry about charcoal fired to upset your neighbours get the gas version.

Jumbuck (charcoal) pizza oven – As a person who likes to cook outdoors. I always wanted a charcoal pizza oven. I saw this charcoal pizza oven at bunnings and just had to buy it as it was afordable and looked pretty good. i burn small pieces of redgum instead of charcoal and find it a fun oven to cook with. Ive cooked pizzas, homemade lasagne, roast beef, Roast veg roast pork and… Read more

more. it creates the crispiest pork crackle ever. only down side is its not air tight so wood burns pretty fast, however you only have to use small pieces of wood and not alot of it so its still quite efficient. Easy to assemble, sturdy and good to cook with. If you are into cooking with wood I reccomend.

Absolute garbage, don't even bother! – I put it all together as per instructions. I tested the oven by turning it on and watching the temperature gauge. The oven's flame would go out automatically at 180°C every time and not turn back on since it doesn't auto reignite. It's cheap, it's nasty and it's an absolute waste of money. Take it back if you have the chance!

No problems, works great – Just bought our jumbuck outdoor pizza oven a couple of days ago and couldn't be happier. Husband and son put it together easily and used it the first night to cook pizzas. They were really yummy and cooked well and within a good time frame, 25 mins which included warm up time. Used it again today to cook a roast pork and potato bake for 10… Read more

people cooked great in around 3 1/4 hours. The roast was almost 3.5kg. We had no issue with getting the oven to the right temperature. No problems at all, great asset to our outdoor area.

Works well after a lot of Tweaking! – Despite many negative reviews but encouraged by others' tweaks, I decided to spend $298 at Bunnings. Would have preferred the Gasmate equivalent but the cheapest price I could find for it was $598. Thanks to other reviewers, I was forewarned, and I can confirm the following out of the box: 1. Shoddy workmanship - many screws loose, internal… Read more

struts bent.

2. Excessive Heat Loss from rear panel and through chimney and oven door.

3. On first "gas-up" with internal stone in place, it took 30 minutes (!) to get to 150° C on the built-in door thermometer (more on this later.)

Steps taken:

1. As advised by others, removed rear panel. Plan was to use a high temperature "gasket goo" as a sealant. Eventually found the USA product "Gasket Maker" from Master Corporation, this is good to 343° C. At $10, it's a good buy.

2. When the rear panel was refitted I drilled some extra holes and fitted more screws;

3. Used a large circumference worm-drive hose clamp to secure heavy duty aluminum foil to chimney - plan was to puncture the foil to fine tune oven temperature. In the event, the perforations were unnecessary;

4. Purchased some high-temp oven door seal (cheapest is fine) and also some high-temp adhesive. Again, the USA Masters Corporation came to the rescue with their "Black RTV Silicon" adhesive at $10.

4. Checked gas burner air/gas mixture as advised by another reviewer - as it happens, mine was good.

5. Purchased alternative oven thermometer - found the one supplied was really out! When my one read 200°C, the Jumbuck read 150°C!

For the final test I removed the internal stone. Gassed-Up, the oven took 8 minutes to reach 200°C (The Jumbuck thermometer read just over 150°C.) We use Aldi Pizza perforated non-stick pizza plates so we didn't feel we were losing anything by removing the stone. Had to turn the gas back to half-throttle as the temperature got to 230°C in 15 mins. (175°C on the built-in thermometer.)

Verdict - Happy at Last! Pity about the inaccurate thermometer, not sure about the usefulness of the stone insert.

LOW HEAT FIX – If your Jumbuck oven won't get up to temp it may need a tweek. Behind the gas flow knob there is a piece of mesh which is where the air is drawn in to mix with the gas before burning. You will need to adjust the amount of air to get the hottest flame. If the flame is yellow/blue more air is required. If the flame is retreating down the burner… Read more

after lighting there is too much air in the mix. To adjust, remove the 2 screws holding the burner in place. These are located towards the rear of the burner. This will allow you to bring the burner towards the front of the oven a couple of cm's. Look under the gas flow knob and you will see the mesh and a lock screw. Loosen the screw and you will be able to turn the mesh to close or open the hole. The best adjustment is when the flame retreats down the burner by one or two holes. Don't forget to tighten the locking screw and replace the burner hold down screws. The heat should get to 230 -240 C when adjustment is correct.

Damn – Great guess what I got for Xmas! Door scrapes, one rack support sitting in bottom of oven! No instruction book on how to use.

Very happy with the oven – I found that most of the heat was going up the chimney.so I made a damper out of foil that nearly closed the flue and it worked great.

DO NOT BUY!!!!! – Do not buy this oven. It looks the same as others but is not. The burner is half as powerful as the gasmate oven which looks the same. because of the small burner it can't get up to temp you need. after half an hour only 200 degrees and nothing more. 22Mj/h burner on the gas mate, this jumback is about 13Mj/h. just bought the gas mate for 300 dollars and is totally amazing. so quick, 10 mins up to really hot. 250 plus. ,

Poor heating – Had the jumbuck Pizza Oven on for 1/2 an hr and only got to 110 degrees. Sent an email to Genisis Corp who do the servicing & probably make them asking for any help as the instruction booklet says only have the gas on high for a maximum of 10 minutes unless it's cooking something. Waiting for a reply On wheels so it's moveable Wont get to temperature

Poor heat seal at rear – The rear panel does not seal the oven! I could feel the heat escaping thru the gaps. Its a poor design I could only get 150C at first. I had to refit the rear panel with new screws it now reaches 200C pretty quick 10-15min. But wont go over 200. I think it is great for Pizzas and Roasts. Roast pork will crackle eventually and it tastes so smokey ! Still mastering how to do vegies

Overpriced rubbish – Build quality is a shocker - one oven slide rail was not properly riveted such that it hung down at an angle and so would not support the rack, and, the front door dragged on the "sill". Fixed both faults at my own expense and effort and should have been easily detected in the Chinese factory. Previous reviewer did well, I couldn't get it to go… Read more

above 150 degrees, even after running it flat out for 30 minutes. Not even hot enough for scones SWMBO tells me.

You would likely do just as well with the Kmart one at half the price, maybe better as it looks to be slightly smaller. might be OK to keep the party pies warm poor quailty, not hot enough

Pizza oven for small jobs – It takes 45 minutes with the gas on full bore , to reach just 200C. which is halfway on the temp gauge.Tested temp with other gauges , and it's accurate. The first 2 pizzas take 12 minutes , but when putting in the next 2 , the temp drops to 150C. and has not reached 200 after the 20 minutes it takes to cook the second 2 pizzas..A pizza should cook… Read more
