Bought from Harvey Norman close to 10 years ago still going strong. Two or more uses day

Best Jug I have ever had – Water good Water level easy Fast and best of all silent Outside not hot Bought this jug as a backup, but used it as the main. Worked perfectly fine for years but I still wouldn't recommend it – I bought this kettle almost four years ago and estimate that I've boiled up over 7,000 cups of tea in it. seems a shame to throw it out when it's still going strong.

Amazing value for money but then I noticed on throwing it out that the exposed electrical element was heavily corroded and who knows what metals I've been drinking for the past few years - I've had unexplained throat issues for the past 18 months, it may or may not be related.

Even though I haven't had the problems of other reviewers, I'd still recommend for safety reasons that you spend a bit more money and get a non-plastic kettle with a covered heating element.

Fine for the cost – I only paid $19 for this and consider it good value. If all you want is something that boils water efficiently with no "bells and whistles" , it does the job. It is fast, light weight and easy to use. Improvements could be made on the way the kettle sits on the base as care needs to be given to ensuring it sits flat. not turning off , turning off too soon or not appearing to be safe to use.It boils water reliably , quickly and is refreshingly quiet.

next to useless – Doesnt matter how much water you put in this product, it cuts off half a dozen times when trying to boil. You have to stand next to it to keep switching it on until it boils. When I told the company, they said that they would give me a $10 voucher on my next purchase. What a load of crock. The customer service is as bad as the kettle. Wont buy Kambrook again

Could be better – Get rid of the base and use a round style base with cetre post that lets you return to base from any position. Other than that, so far, so good. Wouldn'r buy another, though..

Doesn't cut off – The kettle has failed to automatically switch off on a number of occasions, especially when the water in the kettle is being reheated. Potentially dangerous. The kettle only cost around $19 and you get what you pay for. Kambrook have failed to enforce minimum standards with the Chinese makers of this kettle. Cheap and nasty Sometimes won't cut off at boil.

Dangerous – Very dangerous - will heat up even with no water in it. Wondered what the smell was and where it was coming from. Turned out the jug had been on with no water in it for over an hour and the plastic was smelling real bad; little short of a fire really. It does boil water Dangerous, still turns on even without water.

Clunk Clunk! – Worked well for about 3 weeks total and then started to make an awful clunking sound while in use. Sounds like a rocket ship taking off too during operation. Awful kettle, would not recommend it to anyone as I think it could be quite dangerous and I will be taking mine back! Blue light is fun Loud, clunky, dangerous

It works fine – Look, its a kettle. A plastic one at that. Its cordless and I had no trouble whatsoever lifting it onto its base station and taking it out. I'm not sure what the other reviewer had stuck on theirs. It boils fast and the switch is easy to operate. contacted them & gave my full story they sent a new upgraded model without asking for the original jug to be returned for investigation. Highly questionable. Quick boiling Dangerous product, should be recalled

few kettles, to the point I kept standing close listening to see if it was working when it was first turned on. When I read the reviews about the noise I was surprised as my kettle is not noisy at all. It is also fast, which is a bonus. I chose this model as the lid has a very secure lock. The lid on my last kettle (Dome DG2000-1722S from Coles) kept popping open and would not auto-shut off and had to be turned off at the power point. This one is also easy to clean and looks fine on the kitchen bench. The cord from the base is short but in my kitchen the kettle sits right next to the power point so it is not a problem. It's quiet and fast to boil.

have burnt myself twice with boiling water trying to twist the kettle in a way to get it in the cup.

The spout is very short which when the kettle is full the water actually pours like it is a dam overflowing.

Overall, very disappointing from a well known company. The clear level meter a lot of design flaws

Reasonable for the price – Never have i heard a kettle so loud, to the point where if you want to watch TV in an open plan kitchen/ dining /family room while i boil the kettle you are required to turn the volume on the TV up! I would be reluctant buy another kambrook kettle! Good design NOISY NOISY NOISY!

Good kettle until it died after 14 months – Worked great for 14 months in our office, then suddenly stopped working. Have tried to find out if it's an element fault, but no luck so far. The light on the switch still goes, just no heat from the element. Cheap Seems to be made to last only a year or so... then stops working.

OK and pretty good value for money – The kettle is really quick to boil and holds plenty of water. It is easy to clean. I like the white rather than the stainless steet, it doesn't show up the fingerprints. Well priced. Nothing wrong.

Terrible – Kambrook products are cheap garbage, avoid them at all costs, they might look good but don't be fooled, they are not made to last and Kambrook won't help if it's just out of warranty even if they know the product has a common fault. kettles that have lasted longer than this one. Although it looks good, it is difficult to recommend this product when there are so many better value options available. Modern, stylish design. Economical price. Cordless convinience. A bit noisy. Build quality isn't the best.

Terrible – Would not buy again. Fails in it's primary role of producing a sweet tasting cup of boiled water even though it looks great. Reasonably fast. Great looks and design. Cannot re-boil water as it produces a foul burnt plastic taste in the water. problem gets progressively worse until even first boiled water tastes foul. Replacement kettle did the same.

OK – Why do today's products only have a short lifetime? Why has the efficiency gone out of things that used to last for years, like jugs and toasters? tomorrow. This was exactly the 'right' kettle for me. Looked good, kept bugs out, quick and efficient. It died. Just like that. No apparent cause, just simply stopped working. It lasted just two years.

Terrible – blew the earth leakage and p2 on the powerboard. kettle isnt that old. Smelly water after it blew up, mum says it went 'bang' when she turned it on. mum is over 80 years old. p2 refused to reset until jug was removed from power point, even tho it had already gone 'bang'. Not sure what to make of all this? quick to boil, nice design, boiling bit comes away from base (which plugs into wall), so no chance of emersion in water accidently.
