Same problem as above, cover goes on easily either way, but if one way, literally cannot be wrenched off, even when willing to damage cover to get to the blender. Did anyone find a trick?
Slipped a strong knife in between at locking mechanism. Did not damage but have thrown white section away, poor design, should not be able to slip on both ways but release only one way. Unit itself has lasted many years of infrequent use.

I am unable to open my unit. ??? The top mixing jug will not come off. The lock on the front of the unit appears to be stuck. Is there a knack to opening it. It wont slide either way. Help
What is the knack to get the cover off. It says slide right. But the slide is stuck in the middle and there is no slide
I have same issue it's because the cover was put on back to front but i still can't get it off
