Excellent value for money – I've read the other reviews here and while I can agree with some of the comments I only paid $29 for our toaster and for the money it does a great job. It took us several days to get the cook setting right for our needs and find that anything above 1.5 on the dial is going to set the smoke detector off at home. Once the balance was set it's… Read more

all good.

You need to quite carefully position the bread to be able to fit four slices in and I think with some of the larger loaves of bread this would be near impossible.

Look elsewhere for a toaster! – We purchased a new Kambrook Toaster - KTA 140 RED from Appliances Online. It was a dud, the wire elements in our new toaster did not all glow evenly and the resulting toast was a disappointment to say the least, all up a terrible toaster and judging by the response from customers service at Breville Pty Limited it was our fault. online did a great job, in terms of our online experience, dealing with our concerns and collecting our dysfunctional toaster. Breville Pty Limited the makers of Kambrook toasters on the other hand were unimpressive.

Customer service at Breville Pty Ltd chose to blame us for the failure of their Kambrook toaster to toast bread, stating that "If you are cutting the bread yourself then this may be the reason for the uneven toasting" and went on to say "The bread these days have (sic) a higher moisture content and this will cause the bread to toast unevenly" and finally "Not all the elements will light up but will still be hot enough to toast" You can draw your own conclusions as to the nonsense value of their response.

We plugged in our new Kambrook Toaster and depressed the carriage control lever. We observed that the wire elements in our new toaster did not all glow evenly. Then we cut a slice of bread and placed it in the toaster. One side of the bread toasted differently than the other side. On one side the 'browning' ranged from burnt to no browning at all. The other side ranged from burnt to brown. We sent them pictures of the unevenly toasted toast and a picture evidencing the uneven glow of the toaster elements.

Look elsewhere for a toaster!
