A value for money garment steamer
We have had a Philips iron that has served its purpose well however, ironing clothes daily is a never ending chore. Especially when clothes are seemingly well looking and just need tidying up a little - which can be done well with a garment steamer.
We went ahead and invested in the garment steamer and bought Kambrook KSS120 from The Good Guys. So far we got a few clothes that we managed to use this with before things started going south and because of Covid lockdowns were initiated. Well, for what’s it worth the steamer worked well. The only thing is that you need to be careful of not burning your hand as this comes without any cloth hanger. A good buy overall.
Purchased at The Good Guys Physical store for $45.00.
Great steam iron
This is perfect for ironing those delicate fabrics and its portable size makes it very convenient. Its perfect for ironing bed spreads. Due to its small size it can only steam iron for about 15-20 minutes so need to fill in water constantly. For the price, its great value for money.
Purchased in March 2020 at Big W for $39.00.
I really love this!
It's soo good for someone that doesn't need to steam clothes that often. So portable so I use it for my photoshoots. The only downside is that it doesn't have a rack for you to hang the clothes on but that's easily solved. It removes creases very quickly and super easy to use.
Purchased in February 2019 at The Good Guys.

Operation: Easy to use, lightweight, functions as expected, great value.
The clothes are a bit mor damped due to the the steams if compared to traditional ironing.
We don’t have a lot of ironings so this review is only based on using it on occasional causal items.
Compact and easy to use.
Picked this up to steam work blouses on occasion and it has been a real time saver in the mornings (I'm someone who haaaates ironing!) It won't help badly creased items and you'll need to pull out the iron, but for one or two items it's quick and easy to heat up, and I don't notice the water marks pooling on clothes like I have with previous steamers. Definitely a budget-friendly option, but for those of us who don't need to use it every day you can't go wrong.
Purchased in October 2018 at The Good Guys for $45.00.
Possibly the cheapest one of its type, it performs most adequately. For less than $40 (on special at Big W) you can't go wrong with this handy little gem. Lightweight, effective and does the job without fuss. Now use it more than a cumbersome iron and ironing board. Perfect when space is at a premium. Thinking of taking it travelling too.
At $59.95, the Kambrook SwiftSteam Garment Steamer is a portable and lightweight garment steamer that gets the job done when it comes to removing creases and wrinkles.
Reviewers commented this although this little garment steamer was cheap and affordable, it was certainly up to the task. As a point of note, while the recommended retail price is $59.95, a number of reviewers were able to purchase it for even cheaper.
According to happy steamers, this product saved them time in the mornings, especially compared to ironing. It was also light and easy to use. Other reviewers appreciated the SwiftSteam's compact size, with one reviewer commenting: ‘Perfect when space is at a premium.’
Some common downsides experienced were that the water tank had to be re-filled frequently due to its small 250mL tank size, and that there is no included rack or stand to hang clothes on (although this is rare for a garment steamer this cheap).
