Got the Sunbeam SG1000 steamer and mate it’s a little ripper. Heats up quick and knocks out wrinkles faster. Plus, it so super easy to use. Great for shirts, curtains, or anything that’s lookin’ a bit crumpled. Lightweight too, so no dramas moving it around. Doesn’t take up much space either. not the result is slow and marginal. The ideal situation would be to hang the clothes off a door or wall hook. Because best result are achieved be pressing on the clothes it also means it can create creases. Best results are also achieved by holding clothing taunt, which when the item reaches the bottom of the garment I was concerned about being burnt by the steam, which meant inferior results the bottom of the garment. While the water capacity is 300ml so lasts more than 1 garment, I found that after 2 garments I was noticing the weight and was pleased to put it down.
I struggle to understand how this product is useful vs an ironing board. In fact, I actually was so confused and disappointed I got the ironing board out and iron and was more happy with the traditional way of removing creases from clothes.
If you have a hard surface to hang the item at upper body height, it not too high like over a door or too low, or a flat surface I think the results may be better than I experienced. This item isn’t for me.

It is not bad – I am happy with the product given its price level and expectation. I can see there are some negative comments about this product, but I'd think it is not fair to compare this with an iron. It is not a replacement for an iron, but a handy alternative if needed. It is easy to use as well.
Good steamer – Have used it a few times and am happy with the results I am getting. Some thicker fabrics take a bit longer but overall its a breeze. I don't have to fill the water tank too often. Not safe to use, It broke in the first use! – After reading all the positive reviews about this steamer I decided to purchase it. My initial thought was that it was easy to use but then I realised I had to refill the water tank after steaming one or two garments as it was too small. give it a 4 star is because the condensation splatters tiny bits of water it’s okay for clothes with patterns but not for plain coloured clothes as you can see it. It dries up so not really a big deal. But it could be improved as the instruction tells you to turn it off and wipe it up and wait for it to cool down and who has time for that?

Good steamer, a tad heavy – It works well, my only issue with it is that its quite heavy, especially when the water tank is full, so you quickly get tired of holding it. The job however was done perfectly - wrinkle free top in a minute the cord is long and the attachments make it good value for money. The pressure of the steam is great- I work in retail and use a professional steamer that blurts out similar puffs of steam.
The head of the steamer/or steam plate is large but this means for delicate tops- small tops and for collars of shirts- the bulk of the steam isn't hitting the exact place you intend to steam- and also multiple do overs will be needed to get into the pockets etc. but most handheld steamers are similar in terms of bulk surface area and thus are suitable for steaming larger garments. If you're not planning to do more than two tops i would recommend this item.

have been using the steamer for a couple of months now. Some of the things that I find great about the appliance are that you don’t need an ironing board, the water storage container is large (300ml, which means that you don’t need to refill the jug every time you need to use it) and there are so many attachment options which is really useful for different materials.
For those who have not used a steamer before it can certainly take some time to get used to.
I've use it for everything from a simple t-shirts, cotton shorts, work trousers, denim skirts and linen jump suits.
After using the steamer on these items I have gathered a couple of tips that I have shared below.
For instance, I honestly had no idea where to start in terms of things like where to hang the clothes to steam them. Not everyone has a clothes stand to hang them on ready to steam. I would definitely suggest you find a spot that is at eye level and always use a clothes hanger when using your steamer! For me the perfect place to use the steamer is in our bathroom on a towel hook.
Other things that have really helped me when using it are using the lint attachment as I find that for majority of the clothing that I have, this is the best option for an easy glide.
Also, using a pants hanger for bottoms or off the shoulder clothing items. That will definitely make your life easier!
Once you get the hang of the set up, using the handheld steamer is a breeze. It’s a great time saver and gives great, quick results for my clothing. It’s certainly something that I will keep thin hands reach for those super quick ironing jobs.

water tank - I feel like it is actually working when I use it, and haven't struggled to get those stubborn creases out of clothes.
My only suggestion would be to make use of the accessories - you get a few provided and they definitely make a difference. Stoked to finally look like I've got my life sorted when I leave the house, and not a crinkled mess!

Quick, effective and easy to use – After using this a few times I've found it easy to use and it does a great job. I've found it naturally works well with lighter clothing but also works well across thicker cotton too. The extra-wide feature is really effective and makes the whole thing even quicker. Throw away your ironing board and buy this – This product is so light and easy that I am blown away. for 1 or 2 items in the morning. The steamer is perfect to grab as you need it. The attachment are easy to remove and replace such as a steam handle, a fabric brush great for harder fabrics, a lint pad diffuser which is excellent for pet hair, but the pièce de résistance is the creaser attachment, this is great for shirt sleeves. I found the steamer works well on all fabrics, from a silky top through to my beloved velvet jacket. Took me a few attempts at getting use to the steamer , but now its full steam ahead!

I even tried it horizontally and no drips which was great.
My one suggestion would be to have a bag for all the attachments, and maybe a sticker on them to remind me what they are for - otherwise I'll just end up not using them. But, I'm thinking I'll just be using this from now and the iron can stay in the cupboard!

the difference they made was impressive. My favourite was the crease attachment for sleeves and trousers. The water tank was extremely large and lasted me around 30 mins of use without needing refilling. I would highlight that it did struggle to get the creases out of some of the more heavily creased shirts I used it on. So I don't think it would entirely replace my iron, but impressive none the less!
