If only the battery lasted at least the same time as the cleaning fluid tank takes to run empty. By the time the battery is flat less than half of the floor cleaner is still in the tank. This was from new, and discouraged us from using the product regularly. I probably should have bought the corded unit, as the battery really lets this unit… Read more

down. It cleans well if you maintain it properly. But the battery!!! It is not a user exchangeable battery and even though I have the qualifications and skills to replace it, the battery is very expensive and it is almost cheaper to buy another new floor cleaner from another brand.

Overpriced and poorly designed – I used their very expensive cordless mop and a small (1mm) plastic valve broke after using it 3 times! Couldn't replace, fix. The most badly designed product I have ever used. Show details

Poor warranty – Expensive product with poor warranty. Bunnings said that I will get extended warranty if I register online but Karcher did not honor. Not a reliable product or brand for that matter as this specific product was only used twice a month- 2 people in house so not a lot of cleaning. Show details

Worked really well for a month...then no go – Worked well for a month. Then no go. Took in for repair under warranty. Service agent claimed there has been a bad batch of these and the control board was replaced. Went to use it after repair and same issue persists - no go, lights flash rapidly. Great if you could turn it on – Had this Karcher fc-5 cordless for approx 12 months so used less than 10 times on a new timber floor. Now the on/off switch won't work. I'm see I'm not the only buyer who has experienced this problem. And no service centre to fix it. This was advertised as a premium product made by a premium brand. My advice - don't buy ANYTHING by Karcher - the… Read more

switch on the cordless fc-5 is common to a number of other Karcher products. Got sucked in by the hype. And the brand name. If I could give it a 0/5 rating, I would. Buyer beware.

Piece of Junk – I bought a new Karcher FC 5 Cordless last week (serial number 011090) and it was delivered Friday. I charged it completely, read all of the instructions, and turned it on tonight. Vacuum works, but rollers won’t turn. I have a group of people arriving at my house on Wednesday night and got this to get all the floors spotless. A waste of money… Read more

and time. Disappointment is an understatement. I had other options, but decided to try you guys.

I may just challenge the charge, go to Home Depot, buy the less expensive Hoover, and throw this in the trash.

don't buy kartcher vacuum mop do yourself a favor – I have wooden floors newly installed thought I would buy a kartcher vacuum mop to help make my life easier I used it a few times and realized it wasn't vacuuming up very well so I usually vacuumed before I used it for a while it's very heavy and hard to get out to use so I started vacuuming and just using my steam mop and Dyson vacuum and only… Read more

using the kartcher every now and then the last time I used it it was making a loud noise I looked and the rubber on rollers was coming off tried to fix it but just kept coming off so I thought it has a 2year warranty I will take it back to bunnings only to be told they had contacted kartcher can they said its not a warranty issue and they wouldn't honor the 2year warranty after a hour of back and forth bunnings they said they would refund my $649 so my advice why buy an expensive kartcher that doesn't do what it's supposed to do and be told they won't honor a 2year warranty on one of their items when it's only been used 10 times looks new and the rubber is falling off the bottom of it ,bad look for a very well known brand

Not happy after paying premium price – I use this on ceramic floors. The vacuum cleaner and the Mop function performs very badly. After few weeks of use the water stopped coming out of the pipe. I tried to look for myself and there was nothing stuck in the pipe and this was a common issue across the board. I had lost my receipt so had no proof of purchase. The vacuum and map function… Read more

perform very badly and doesn't pick anything off the floor. I drop some drops of water on the floor to help it mop but it hardly picks up the water from the floor. Disheartened after spending so much money with so high expectations

Wireless, Handy! – The fact that it is wireless is great though as the mop gets older the battery hasn’t lasted as long as I’d like. It’s heavy to use to begin with but you get used to it. It’s super easy to clean though you should clean it after use or it does tend to smell. Setting it up is easy. You twist in the rollers and filled the bottle at the front. … Read more

After use the rollers can go into the washing machine and come out clean! Everything just needs a good rinse. Charging station is super cool! Plug it in and pop into the dock. Don’t need to vacuum as it sucks all the dirt on the floors, even chunkier foods and rubbish. Stubborn marks it struggles a little though giving it a few goes over the mark helps. Doesn’t leave streaks which is great!

Expensive and useless – Have only used it four times, the roller on one side dislodges no matter how firmly I install it. Dirty water spews over the floor and the rollers have to be dampened in the stand before you can use it. Wont even clean light dirt from floor, have to carry a cleaning cloth around with me to spot clean, even on dry coffee spills etc. sort of… Read more

defeats the purpose of the cleaner really. Vacuum feature will only work on small amounts of dust, won’t even pick up crumbs. Floor is dirtier after using the FC5 because of dirty water leaking out everywhere. Clean water won’t come out so I keep having to moisten the rollers in the stand tray. Heavy and cumbersome to use and you cant get under cupboards with it. Going to HN to try and get a refund but don’t like my chances after seeing all the reviews on here. Just finished cleaning my hybrid floors on my hands and knees with chux and warm water while my expensive useless floor cleaner sits idle. Wish I had found this site prior to purchase.

Cleans very well if you get to know product – I found it took time and effort to learn how to use machine properly and effectively and maintain it (for example knowing to have rubber pin pointing up so that water flows, even when they have put it around wrong way in factory; or getting the knack of putting on rollers properly to avoid the slipping outward during operation; or making sure you… Read more

have the right cleaning fluid at right amount to avoid streaks), if you have the patience to learn and get through all this the Karcher is easy to use and cleans well, much easier than vacuuming and then mopping manually. Picks up dog hair really well and refuse receptacle is very easy to empty and clean for next use. I also recommend you take your time while cleaning and let the unit do its job, don’t force it across floor quickly as you might with a manual mop as you won’t get as good a clean. The battery time is just a bit short to do my whole house in one go thoroughly, but comparable to a cordless stick vacuum. It charges quickly so I just do the main open plan area in one go and then do bathrooms separately. Overall I would recommend this product, I am glad that I bought it, as makes cleaning up after pets much easier. I think time invested in really getting to know product and basic troubleshooting would address many of the complaints I see here in other reviews.

Terrible – I have just tried a to use my brand new cordless Fc5 straight out of the box. Spent a hr trying to get the water to run through as it should with no luck battery now flat. Faulty Floor cleaner and Karcher Service – Purchased this floor cleaner On the 13th August 2020 from Harvey Norman And had nothing buts problems with the roller coming off all the after about 15min continuous use. We even purchased an extra set of rollers if that was the issue. Called up Harvey Norman and they suggested going to Karcher service direct. On 2 September 2020 we went to the… Read more

Karcher Service at Acacia Ridge and informed the person to assist. We showed him the video we took of the issue. The service agent was very defensive, rude and arrogant and refused to take the product in for service. He claimed he had the same product with the same issue which is NOT A PROBLEM TO HIM! Despite showing him the video, he refused to accept the product back for service and walked away. We waited for 15 mins and had to leave since there was no one to assist. We then took it to Harvey Norman back for a refund and they said they cannot issue a refund as it has been used. How will you know the issue with the product if it has not been used. Very disappointed after spending $530 and not being able to use the product as advertised.

Probably fine if you want it just as a mop – I bought this from Bunnings a few weeks ago (cordless version). I returned it to Bunnings today in favour of the Bissell Crosswave Cordless MAX (2765f) Key Observations: 1. Small tanks (both source and target) 2. Heavy to carry around, not much attention to ergonomics in terms of handles etc. Sort of awkward to carry 3. No control over wet/dry… Read more

modes, it always dispenses water (sometimes a bit too much) 4. If you don't vacuum before hand, you will find your dirt either being moved around, or stuck inside the rotor afterwards 5. The bottom cover of the roller assembly is awkward to remove for cleaning. If you make the unit horizontal, water leaks out 6. The water tank leaks after it is filled (till you put it into the machine). Creates a mess on the floor which is just unnecessary. 7. Even for hair, it takes several passes to pick it up

Overall, I don't think this should be advertised as a vacuum/mop - it does fine just as a mop maybe.

Delighted with the product – We have a large tiled lounge, kitchen and hall area and have been looking for a product that will clean this effectively. This device really does the job. We have used the traditional sponge and bucket and a steam thingie which justs moves the dirt about, both not very good. spotless. The only downside is that the battery life is a bit weak, I can only just get the whole floor done before the battery gives out, probably ~20 minutes. Speaking to the other review by rani.korkise there is no vacuum, just wet rollers and I wonder if we are talking about the same product as the price you paid is way more than the Karcher?

Pathetic cleaner – Leaves the floor really wet and the vacuum is non existent. Battery supposed to last 20 mins but in real life more like 10 or less I've only used it 4 times! Show details
