They lure you in with designed in Germany but it is made in China and full of plastic crap – They lure you in with designed in Germany but it is made in China and full of plastic crap. Everyone I know state the old Karchers are good, that may be but the new ones are garbage. That's why this review is full of negatives. Put it this way, an Ozito is cheaper AND has a better warranty, INSTANTLY that tells you something is seriously wrong as… Read more

a company won't give you a good warranty (like Karcher, only 2 years what a joke) they don't trust to last.

The price they charge for this junk as well (because again they slap the designed or made in Germany on it so charge you more to fool people) yet only give you a 2 year warranty and we know why, because it falls apart soon after.

Choice also advises this thing only gets a cleaning score of 65% and the next model up is even worse at 60%, kind of shows you how truly bad the brand is (in addition to everything I've already mentioned)

3rd Karcher I’ve had. Won’t be a 4th – Purchased 20 September. Pulled out of the box and my partner commented straight away - I don’t think this is new, there is water coming out of it. It has been used 3-4 times max. I to use this morning and it won’t turn on or get pressure. I won’t ever again by a karcher product. Show details

Don’t buy it unless you want something to last for a year or two with out much use – Haven’t used it much, washing the cars and it lost pressure and started to smoke. The electrical motor just suddenly failed. Show details

Very poor quality product - not value for money – I had bought that from bunnings for $289. It is used very sparingly - once in 1-3 months and may have used that for 15 times only and now it have all sort of problems. Water is leaking and it is not building pressure - sort of stop start. Unfortunately i had lost the receipt and bunnings said they can’t do anything. So all the money is lost/ wasted. Show details

Total waste of money – This is my second Kärcher and both have died just outside of warranty. Both have had the same fault with the pump leaking causing the unit to loose pressure. Both machines had very little use and we’re not worth repairing considering the exorbitant service and parts cost. I am bitterly disappointed as I thought I was purchasing a quality German made product however I now realise these items are manufactured in China.  Show details

As useless as a speed camera saving lives – Bought a K3 and the motor would not work properly and had no pressure, took it back to the shop and got a replacement unit. New unit worked but the lances had leaks and eventually after a few weeks of use the dirt blaster lance decided to stop working due to the ball bearing inside the nozzle tip eating it's way around the plastic housing causing… Read more

it to stop rotating.

Looked at buying a new dirt blaster nozzle, $60 for a piece of plastic junk that will fail again, No way.

Decided to throw it off a building from the 3rd level, I got my satisfaction out of it that way, as well as a good video and a lesson learnt.

Fault product, but still selling them – I'm an independent contractor to constructor builders (housing), I've been through 4xK2, 1xWinner 11 and 2xK3, in 24 months. I only use them on windows and decking only. They get used, on average, once a week. I operate them in short periods of time, as recommend by Kärcher themselves. The K2's fall apart after two to three uses. The Winner… Read more

11 is my older, personal pressure cleaner. When the fitting from the pump to the hose blew out, I went to the Geebung store, seeking a new part. When I was handed the replacement part, it was to narrow, and would not take a hose connection fitting. Which I was then offered a K3 for $80 (I'd say cost price). The K3 lasted around 60 seconds, before the pump started leaking water. The second K3, burst and leaked water after 5 mins.

I've covered all my bases with the plumbers on site, and operating procedures of the machines, again! I've spoken to the manager at the Geebung store in Brisbane, he still can't give me a good reason about they're product, other then I must have had a bad run of luck, or hit a bad batch.

How about you admit, your product is infearier. You knowingly sell them to consumers, knowing they a faulty. This is not doing the right thing by consumers or your brand. I feel I will take this further to consumer affairs. As I've been offered another machine, which is second hand. As posed to a new replacement.

I have all the receipts for the previous items, store locations and wittiness to the issues on site. It's just a joke.

Use it for patio / driveway – Purchased from Supercheap while there was a storewide sale for $240~. It comes with some wood deck detergent, a line spraying wand (with power adjustment), dirt blaster wand (main one I use) and a water broom. It doesn't come with a 'patio cleaner' extension - but not a big deal as I've found them to be useless in the past. I have been… Read more

using it to clean dirty and moldy concrete (and works fine).

I've had a Bosch 37-13+ previously but it burnt out after 1 day of use. I've also used a JetPower JET360ZX. Both of these are similar to the Karcher K3 Deck for pressure/cleaning ability (all used on the same areas). I decided on the Karcher (over something off eBay or another unknown brand) hoping it'll last a long time as that's what they seem to be known for. So time will tell.

Does the Job – I bought this K3 at SuperCheap at Christmas... they price matched the advertised $239 priced I'd seen at Bunnings but my local store didn't have any... so great job by them! It does everything we need... cleans the deck, driveway, house exterior, outdoor furniture and the garage floor. Light enough to move around easily and easy on water.  Show details

Good job so far – I recently purchased a Karcher K3 Deck pressure cleaner from Home Hardware in Launceston. Their price was $239 down from $299 quoted to match Bunnings price for a similar model. I bought this to clean some rather old stained concrete, paving stones and a deck and it has done a reasonably good job of it. I have had a basic model cheap Gernie… Read more

for many years which has been great but has just worn out from a lot of use so needed to replace.

Three reasons I opted for the Karcher this time were a long pressure hose, adjustable spray nozzle and easier to squeeze the handle on for a longer period of time.

If it goes the distance I will be quite pleased with it.

On the down side the long pressure hose is laborious to wind around the machine to put it away, but fantastic for a long reach.

A little disappointed with the pressure, thought it may have been slightly more than the old Gernie at its peak given that it was more expensive.

Another plus is that it has an extension to reach high places so good for walls etc.

Would I buy another one? For light jobs yes.
