Generally lasted a while these units, but the last couple we had the hose snap on us which was annoying, we generally dont let it coil and fully stretch it so there are no kinks. It could have just been a bad batch, but ill keep this at 3 stars for now as weve had one good and bad experience. Show details

Bought it 5 months ago, used sparingly. Initially water pressure was good, used for pool surrounds, car, driveway. At the outset 2 issues: 1. I found the hose reel problematic. 2 loose ends, and if you let it go before completely winding it… Read more

would just let go and you had to start over. Then when unwinding, it would inevitably case the K3 to fall over into the cement.

2. The retaining clips for the hose connections were difficult to release, needed to pry them with a screwdriver.

==> don't these things get tested in prototype stage?

Then 6 weeks ago there was a noticeable decline in pressure. I checked the screen on the hose inlet, it was OK. Never used it again until last week, pressure was even worse. And while using it you could hear the compressor slow. When I went to check it, there was smoke coming out, burnt electrical smell.. So I took it back, luckily the retailer where I bought it gave a full refund. No more for me, I've jumped to an alternate brand. This unit had maybe 3 or 4 hours running time on it. Not recommended.

Follow-up  · Follow-up: Got an automated/bot response from Karcher; had seen the exact same response to other reviews. Didn't matter, I was able to get a full refund so I did. Bought a Stihl RE 110 Plus, cost 50% more, don't care. The difference is staggering - consistent, controlled pressure, wide fan spray - more pressure than I ever saw with the Karcher… Read more

For as a girl who doesn’t have much experience with pressure cleaners … this was SUCH an easy experience to clean our old deck. The how-to guide on the app made it so easy to follow and make sure I don’t ruin the beautiful wood. The pic below shows the dirty on the left and the cleaned wood on the right. Amazed. Show details ·  1

I use the Karcher K3 to help speed up washing my car as it has a safe level for using on vehicles! I use it to spray my car down to get all the dirt and dust off the top layer (I also add car detergent into the detergent dispenser to lather my car too) and then go in with my sponge to clean the car and it just speeds up this whole process so much. I then use it to rinse off all the soap. Its also great for cleaning the driveway! Show reply

A bit big but gets it done!!!!!!!!!! – i got this cause my dyson died again... sick of takin it to the warranty place (3rd time now) i decided to hit up bunnings. Post hot dog I grabbed the karcher cause it was on special. Once home it was a bit bulky for my small apartment but, earned it's worth that night when I spilt milk on the floor (insert joke here lol). Anywayz, its a wet and dry vacuum and took care of business. Happy with it and I recommend it. Show details

Karcher K3. Conducted my own thorough research before buying – Karcher home series are PLASTIC. My K2 lasted forever. Leaked for 3 years. Then finally stopped working. K3 just purchased with thorough research before buying. Soooooo many steps to prevent failure. If anyone wants my research, just ask. Show details

Unbelievably poor – Absolute rubbish. Have only used a few times over the past 5 years. Issues with hose connections. Then the dirt blaster nozzle failed. Replaced the nozzle with brand new part and the seal/ring where the head screws on failed in the first 3 minutes. Replaces it with the old ring. Started working well and then 5 minutes later the swirling action on the nozzle worked intermittently. Therefore a lack of pressure. I have now thrown it in the bin. Show details

Poor customer service – K3 Premium Full control was purchased just on 5 years ago, only used a small number of times before ‘outlet value’ gave way. Contacted Karcher and was informed to throw it away as the cost of repairing it wasn’t worth it. Plastic Rubbish – This is an embarrassment to Karcher - minimal use and internal plastic fittings split, so no water pressure and water spraying out everywhere. Will NEVER buy another Karcher product - Mitre 10 should be equally embarrassed to be selling their products. Show details

Received this as a gift to review. We own a K2 model pressure washer so already had expectations of a high quality product. We were not disappointed. hose no worries and has plenty of water piping to move around and get the area we needed clean. The attachments are easy to use and really do work well to give a high quality clean. I’m looking at what other accessories I can purchase for this now! And I’ll be purchasing the cleaner we were provided in the box too because I felt that worked well also.

They lure you in with designed in Germany but it is made in China and full of plastic crap – They lure you in with designed in Germany but it is made in China and full of plastic crap. a company won't give you a good warranty (like Karcher, only 2 years what a joke) they don't trust to last.

The price they charge for this junk as well (because again they slap the designed or made in Germany on it so charge you more to fool people) yet only give you a 2 year warranty and we know why, because it falls apart soon after.

Choice also advises this thing only gets a cleaning score of 65% and the next model up is even worse at 60%, kind of shows you how truly bad the brand is (in addition to everything I've already mentioned)

Very poor product – We’d had a Spitwater for more than 20 years and it eventually “died” (or so we thought). Went out and bought a K3 Karcher to replace, believing that Karcher was a good reliable brand. The joke was on us! The K3 is basically built of light plastic, with a windup hose that is the most awkward thing to use. If you want to pull just a little more hose… Read more

out, the whole machine falls over. The carry handle doesn’t click in properly, so that when you lift the unit the handle falls off. This design fault caused us to drop it, and the wheel(s) which are complete rubbish and so flimsy anyway, broke. It does an ok job of cleaning, but the design is very poor in that it falls over the minute the slightest pressure is applied. The detergent container never empties completely, usually have to refill when there’s still a quarter left. The irony is that our Spitwater came back to life, so that is our preferred choice when cleaning up around the home. Our recommendation is Do Not Buy. If we could give less than one star rating, we would.

Karcher is surviving on their previous excellent reputation – My previous Karcher, a K4.650, performed admirably for 13 years. Then, it died; the repair estimate was over $300. Karcher's sales team over the phone recommended their K3 Premium Power Plus as a replacement as its specification closely matched my dead K4.650. So I bought one from my local Bunnings. After opening the box and assembling it, I was… Read more

astounded by the appalling build quality; flimsy, tacky, cheap and nasty about explains it. My dead 13 year year old Karcher was made in Germany; this detritus was not. I decided to return it to Bunnings after 3 days, totally unused, for a store credit and purchased a Gerni, which was one of two pressure washers recommended by choice.com.au. There is now a vast difference in quality between the Gerni and Karcher; the Gerni is brilliantly made but the Karcher is made-for-the-tip rubbish.

If you are a previous Karcher owner, do NOT expect any from their current pressure washer product range to meet your expectations. It's rubbish, and I wrote to Karcher telling them so.

One of the retailer said we having at least 1 per week returned. Otherwise the machine is light and low in noise. Show details

Poor plastic build quality but good cleaning power – This is 2nd time I have given Karcher pressure cleaned another chance after the rubbish previous range . The last one bought 6 years ago was rubbish and now This new model looks better and it gave me more hope … but sadly it’s still Rubbish! Build quality is plastic rubbish . Karcher management commission a decent build quality in China ? The wheels fall off , the carry handle falls off and is near impossible to put back, overall it’s poor quality compared to its US competition ( gernie ) . It feels poorly moulded Like a kids toy made in China for a few uses and then throw it away ! People must keep buying this rubbish quality brand because of the attractive yellow and black brand colours and the extensive marketing in major hardware stores . Save your money… look at the Gernie .. far superior . I have tried them all as have a few properties around Australia . On the plus side for Karcher , the pressure generated is excellent , good and wide choice of accessories for the domestic user . Its lightweight to lift and carry so transportable to other jobs . It’s low price and performance is good enough for the average household with demanding duties such as washing a car , patio and deck cleans , stubborn marks ect . Tried the patio and tile cleaner attachments … ok but not a miracle clean . The K3 is enough as it’s light and powerful. K2 is weak but suitable for lighter jobs . You don’t need the expensive K4 and K5 amen You don’t need more power unless you a are a commercial / industrial cleaner and that would mean a petrol powered one .

Used only twice – There was nothing wrong with our little Karcher Winner 10, except perhaps age, and the fact that our current home has large concreted areas as well as wraparound timber decks. So we bought the Karcher K3 Full Control 1950 PSI from Bunnings in March 2022. Used it once and we were happy with its performance. On its second use (14 May 2022) water… Read more

was gushing from the body of the machine, indicating a cracked or leaking pump! Also, one of the spray wands stopped working; plus we noticed that the outer skin on the (brittle) pressure hose had split in several places. Not happy!

After reading numerous reviews we note that there seem to be numerous issues with the K3, so we returned it to the store of purchase and received a refund/credit note. We WON'T be buying another Karcher. So disappointed. And especially sorry that we parted with the good old Karcher Winner 10.
