Pretty good but pricey – I own quite a number of pressure washers including a k2, k3, k4 full control premium, ryobi 2000psi, gerni 1450psi. The k4 performs like the ryobi which has similar specs. The advantage over the ryobi is the size, wide range of accessories, seems better built, the wand with led indicator, being water cooled and easily repairable if you're semi… Read more

handy.

The wand indicator is good letting you know if you have a pressure issue. I was only hitting med pressure and followed youtube vid on replacing the cylinder head for $70 and it was good as new. The water cooled system gives me confidence to run without giving it a break too often.

Bad points are the hose curls a lot. Solution is to go after market and also get a swivel connector. The issue I had when replacing my cylinder head was snapping the plastic on/off Shaft. Had to diy glue it together again and expand the hole to fit the e-box. I should have siliconed the gap but unless it springs a leak I don't think there's any danger but might seal up in future if I take it apart again.

Gerni might be a better buy but ability to fix myself, parts and vast info out there to fix makes it my choice. I somehow feel gerni lances are designed better as my 1450psi one performs like it has 1800psi.

I disagree karcher is not as good as they use to be for k4 and above. Poor reviews are probably due to user error like not purging water and taking basic care. K5 is probably the ideal model as I've at times thought a bit more power would be good but there is a very significant price difference for just 10% more psi and flow. K4 is kind of the sweet spot in terms of karcher value.

Perfect for around the home – Karcher K4 has great pressure and is easy to use. It also has a section where you can use Karcher detergent to clean the patio and wash the house. It also has window solution. great product Show details

Absolute Rubbish – Purchased 15 months ago and now it has lost all pressure. Only (1) service department an hour from home. The technician advised the loss of pressure is a common problem. Then why sell them I asked. He said I had to bring to it to them and not back to Bunnings were purchased. This is the second Karcher product I have purchased and they only last 12-24 months... Never again. Show details

Karcher K4 High Pressure Washer Has Worked Very Well for Me Over the Past 4 Months – I have used it to blast away the dirt from concrete paths, pavers, tiles, sandstone and have been very happy with the result. You can see the dirt disappear as you work so it's very satisfying. Lent it to my neighbour who was also very happy with the result. Hope it keeps working well for years to come as I whip it out when I see a dirty floor so… Read more

I can then seal the dirt away with a liquid paving sealer. It works much better than one I bought years ago and that may have been an Ozito Bunnings branded entry level high pressure washer.

Do NOT buy the Karcher hose connection for use with bucket – I bought a Karcher 4 to clean my apartment patio. It collects a lot of bird poop and I thought the Karcher would work. I do not have a hose pipe do I bought the hose attachment. It only worked once with a bucket and then the machine got air pockets which stoped the Karcher working. To clear the air pockets you need.. wait for it... a hose pipe… Read more

attached to water mains. So I went and bought a 30m hose and special gardenia attachment to run the hose from my kitchen tap to the Karcher outside and boom! Works perfectly! The hose and bucket approach is a waste of money and I don’t know how Karcher can sell such a bad solution. The Karcher is good - parts are a bit cheap like the wheels and spout storage but otherwise works well.

Garbage – Plastic rubbish. The lance wouldn't go in or out of the handle from out of the box, brand new. The hoses on these washers are terrible. They sell thousands of these things in Bunnings all over Australia yet there is only 1 service centre in the Sydney Metro area. It lasted about 9 months with average use. I looked at getting it repaired but it… Read more

would not have been worth the cost and the time taking it to their 1 repair centre and picking it up. Have since bought another brand, it actually has more power, a steel braided hose and was about $130 dollars cheaper. Will never buy a Karcher product again.

Poor quality design – Purchased K4 in 2013 for $469. Used it may be 15-20 times max for a couple of hours each time during the 7 years. Looks like new on the outside and inside except it now leaks. I took it apart and it's clear that the leak is from the motor unit/ high pressure head itself. I wish I read all the reviews here before buying this brand. Cheap… Read more

plastic washers apparently don't last, especially if the unit is not used a lot. Repair will cost more than an alternative brand with same pressure. I'll stay away from this brand in the future.

Great power and great warranty – POWEEEEERRRRRRRR......That's the word here! The Karcher K4 made cleaning my deck actually FUN, so easy to use and the results are crazy good. Great hose length 9 meters and power cord length compared to others I've had. The digital readout on the handle is just a gimmick but the rest is fantastic. BEWARE of getting too close to any wood with the pressure on high mode as it WILL dig holes into the wood. Show details ·  1

Best pressure washer for washing your car – I have a car with a matte paint job so I'm meticulous about washing my car with a high pressure cleaner and two bucket wash method. I bought this machine because it comes with a full 7 year warranty (5 years + 2 years when you register online). Having the water cooled motor you don't need to worry about the motor burning out like you do with the… Read more

cheaper machines. I use the soap gun attachment (sold seperately) to soap up the car first and then high pressure wash the car to get as much dirt off as I can before I even touch the car with a sponge. Then I wash with the two bucket method and final rinse with the high pressure sprayer. I always use it on high as its the perfect pressure for car washing. The high setting is perfectly safe for your car's paint. I work at a place with a commercial wash bay with a high pressure sprayer running at 2900 psi so I know this Karcher consumer unit running 1900 psi is perfectly safe. You don't have to use Karcher products in the soap gun attachment. I use a small amount of Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo and Conditioner topped up with water in the soap gun. This is the same product I use for washing, so no need to buy multiple products. I highly recommend this pressure washer. I see some other reviewers have had issues but I don't think you need to worry with that 7 year warranty. I see some have also used this for commercial purposes. This is not a commercial product. It is a home use product. If you need something for a commercial application go to a company like Spitwater and get a commercial machine for your purposes. If you want a unit for home car/boat washing or other small jobs, spend the extra money and get this one!

Horrendous customer service and machine – Oh boy I wish I had read all of the reviews before we purchased another Karcher Pressure washer. We have experienced almost identical issues as the other reviews. We very rarely use the washer, probably 4 times a year. The last time we used it we noticed all of the water was gushing out of the bottom of the unit. I called Total Tools to ask them… Read more

about the warranty and we dropped it off to them. A few days later they came back to me and said that the machine was purchased for commercial purposes so therefore only has a 3 month warranty. The machine was purchased online through my husbands Total Tools account. My husband mistakenly entered a company name in the box when ordering online which has caused the issue. His Total Tools account is NOT a business account. I called and emailed Karcher customer service to explain that this was an error and that the company name my husband entered does not even exist on Asic or with the ATO and that this is for personal use. I’m not dishonest and if it was purchased for business then I would definitely accept this. It has been and still is an ongoing argument with Karcher and I’m not one to give up. After reading the reviews I have accepted that they are simply not going to repair it without charging us. My husband took the machine apart which is flimsy and made very cheaply considering it costs $500. He found a crack in plastic pipe to the main motor..I will now battle with them to send me a new part. There is no appreciation from some businesses nowadays for loyalty of custom. We have always purchased and recommend Karcher products but from this day that will be no longer. Cheaply but overpriced made products and shocking customer service! Shame on you Karcher!

Great middle of the range unit – Was given the K4 full control as a present, as my K2 packed up after 4 years. Was happy with the K2 until I used my new K4. Well worth spending a bit extra as this unit is fantastic. 9M pressure hose makes a massive difference and the 2100 PSI is superb. I already had the foam bottle for my car and the premium deck and patio cleaner so prefer the… Read more

K4 to the K5 & 7. I love keeping my car in showroom condition and it is a pleasure using the K4. Also have extensive decking in our home and the deck cleaner makes it easy to maintain. Cleaning the pavement outside my home is a breeze. Highly recommend the K4. PS. Make sure you run the water thru the gun for at least 20 sec before turning on the motor.

Karcher Premium K4 Full – Total crap first time I tried to use it the lance wouldn’t go into the gun handle so I rang Karcher & guess what they are having issues with the K4 pressure cleaner handle, they were nice on the phone & organise a new handle/gun to be sent out after a week or so it arrived & yes it works BUT I tried to wash my car & used Karchers foam gun & it’s… Read more

Why do I keep buying these? – So this will be my third Karcher Pressure Cleaner. The previous two failed after a year or so and after multiple trips to the repairer gave up with both. (pump failed 3 times on one and the other one kept springing leaks which turned out to be cracked internals). Now I don't given them a hard life. the car from time to time and the, drive and… Read more

A glorified Leggo set! – If you like assembling cheap and nasty Leggo kits then the K4 is for you! Click, push, click, push as it goes together! It feels like plastic junk and that's what it is! The roll up pressure hose is something from your worst nightmare as it twists and snarls no matter what you do. After 12 months expect bits to start breaking off and the… Read more

pressure lances become impossible to get in it out. They also clog up so you have pull them apart an clean them.

The wheels will seize up after about six months ........

A complete heap of cheap and nasty plastic, don't touch it!

What a piece of junk..... again! – Purchased this 2 years ago from Bunnings. Used it 4 times and lo and behold ......leaks from the pump unit. It’s out of warranty so not much choice to either pay Karcher to fix it or assign it to the scrap heap. I would suggest that now this is my second one that leaked ....That there is a design fault with the model.  Show details

Karcher - 5 year warranty - Crap – Used a Karcher K4 for less than 10 times in 5 months and then took it back to Karcher at 2/5 Clay Place Eastern Creek. New valve body assembly required and charged $209. Warranty? What warranty!!! When I mentioned that it's under warranty, they said Head Office has charged the amount and if you want the Karcher back, you must pay the repair and… Read more

question it afterwards.

When the proof of purchase was sent, it was stated by head office that because the unit was booked in under a Company name because I was wearing a company uniform (it is a personally owned and purchased unit).

Karcher warranty's are not worth anything and stay right away from Karcher Eastern Creek - I've bought a replacement part from there - wrong part. They're useless and have no idea what they are doing.
