Excellent – The best steamer ever made. I would love another one on stand by in case this one ends its life. I have had my steamer for over 12 years. Never had amy problem with it at all in fact it is still going strong. I love mine for ironing. Would definatley have another one There is nothing too dislike

Terrible – Like the concept of cleaning with steam...but will look very closely at my next purchase...and avoid Karcher. Lots of steam with the 1500watts...but anything with less wattage would be a toy. none...except once it runs out of water you can turn off element, hold trigger down so that remaining steam escapes, and release valve to fill reasonably… Read more

quickly. Cannot trail the machine after you successfully...the modular accessory plug (hose that goes to the steam gun constantly falls out of socket....very annoying.

Towel retaining clip on floor nozzle constantly flys off...with each little bump on furniture or wall....extremely annoying.

Wand can be very difficult to dismantle if you don't keep the o-rings at each jointly constantly greased.

Thermostat played up so that it cut out constantly..recognised repairer just gave up in dismay...we eventually had electrician put foreign thermostat in it and it works again.

I wrote to my buying agent and Karcher's Sydney Office re my complaints....received no response from either of them.

Does not lift grease/oil as it claims...nor does it lift soap scum...I am no scientist but believe it does not kill bacteria or mould either.

The steam iron leaves the clothes a little damp despite my going back over it without steam, so I ensure I hang them to dry before putting in cupboard...this steam iron does not take creases out of washed "indian cotton" (the ultimate test for these steam irons in my view).

Bad – The machine is not strong enough for what I paid. I expected to have a machine that would last at least ten years, not two years. At least now I am more satisfied with my new Tosca. It worked ok for two years before the boiler exploded while in use leaving hot water all over the floor. This I did not expect for a machine that I paid about $1300… Read more

for. I love the idea of steam because I have have sensitive skin and often get rashes when using chemicals. I have since purchased a Tecnovap Jetsteam Tosca which was a similar price but it is much more robust with a metal casing, stronger tools, higher pressure and a stainless steel boiler. For the price the tools seemed a little domestic although the iron was good. The casing is also not strong enough.

OK – In hindsight I would have bought the alterative machine that I was considering at the time as it had higher pressure and a good carry handle I works well though and I do not want to go back to chemicals Tip: get yourself heaps of light coloured cotton facewashers and some hand towels. Got mine at a fairly good price. Don't pay more than $600 for it

Water tank quite large so can clean for a good length of time before having to refill Not very easy to

manouvre around and the flap on top of where the pipe connects

into the machine oftens lifts up which makes the machine stop working until you

have pushed it down again. I think I will overcome this with some duct

Excellent – We have Karcher's outdoor high pressure water cleaner so we know the brand very well. My sister in law told us she had a Karcher steam cleaner, we were surprised because we were not aware that KArcher also produced indoor cleaners. why it works so well on our oven and barbie.

We had been looking for a steamer for so long, but found most of them to be made so poorly. KArcher's steamer definitely has a fair bit of grunt to it. We clean everything with our Karcher. We did a lot of investigations into various steam cleaners and found Karcher to be the strongest on the market. We clean the whole house including the outdoors such as killing weeds and cleaning our outdoor furniture. It works fantastically on greasy things such as our oven and barbecue (other steam cleaners we tested could not shift the grease from our oven). We particularly love it for our bathroom. The hot steam is something like 145 degrees and we managed to kill the mould in the shower, we do not get the mould growing back. Our floor tile grout was a major problem but now it looks new again.

The iron has reduced our ironing time from 2 hours to just 1 hour, that is a great help with 2 kids, it is the best iron and we would recommend the system just for the iron attachment alone. One bad thing is..... why it took us so long to find it, it is not available in stores. We were referred to the product by my sister in law who has had her Karcher for 3 years. I wished we had known sooner.

We should have gotten the 2 litre model, it is even stronger.

Terrible – I think my expectations were a little high, The advertsiments lead you to beleive that the steam cleaner is the be all and end all, however I still need the cleaning products to get my home sparkling. scrubbing with a good old fashioned brush. Different attachments help with hard to get at places Cumbersome, expensive, doesn't do a fantastic job
