Does the job – Works well and only have to do it once, very clean and clear windows Show details · 1
Disappointing – I purchased this only a couple of days ago and tried it on all my doors and windows. Was very disappointed in the result. As others have said - a very expensive squeeze! Let streaks on all doors and windows and I had to use a cloth to go over them all to remove the streaks. This is what I was trying to avoid! Show details
Good vacuum – My Karcher WV5 gave up running so I replaced it with a Karcher WV6+KV4 vacuum and washer. The vacuum works really well and I can actually get to the bottom of windows and doors. However the vibrating washer I consider extremely poor. It doesn’t put out enough water for the vacuum to suck up which leaves a streaky result. I now use my original bottle washer with the WV6 vacuum and have great results. Show details · 1
It does work but – It works as well as a bucket of water and normal squeegee. I doesn't do away with streaks but then the "normal " method of a squeegee can leave streaks. The greatest advantage is all the dirty water is collected and not spattered on the floor. I cannot use it inside because I have Stegbar Comfort plus glass and I am concerned it could damage the… Read more
inside coating. I have only used it three times on the outside of the windows and I usually combine cleaning the windows with washing the tiles on the verandah. I still have to wash the window frames separately so I still end up with a bucket and a wash cloth. It does save a little time. I have had it about 12 months and now the charger doesn't work. I cannot be bothered to go through a warranty claim so it will go in the bin and I will go back to the old squeegee.
Mostly pleased but definitely overpriced – Have a problem with heavy condensation on the inside of my windows and been looking for a solution. Came across this when looking for something else and thought be worth a shot, tried everything else without too much luck. The tiny bottle of cleaning fluid was ... well tiny. For something in this price range, was disappointed. It does give a good… Read more · 1
clean though and would buy a full sized bottle.
While it doesn't give you the amazing results it claims unless you have a perfectly clean surface to begin with, an ideal angle to work with and a very steady hand, it is not terrible either.
That said, it works pretty good well for what I need. It sucks up all the condensation on my windows nicely, and leaves them much cleaner than I have ever managed to get them, My windows go to the just above the floor though and this thing can't quite tilt up enough so you get a little mess near the bottom. I am not especially worried about it though, as it is more than good enough for what I want.
Did do a pretty good job on my bathroom mirror and shower screen, which was at all the right angles. Also got my fridge door the cleanest I have ever managed to get it.
It is tricky to use though, and a streak free finish is a bit of overpromise. Am a little disappointed because of the price point, but otherwise reasonably happy with it. The battery lasts a good while on one charge and it doesn't have a base that takes up room, just plug straight into the unit. However it is one of those monumentally stupid plugs that takes up more than one spot because it is on the side, so you have to plug it into the end or you lose at least spot on your power board or wall plug.
Is light enough for me to handle it without any problems. The spray bottle sponge thing comes in pretty handy too for all kinds of surfaces, like my stove top and comes off easily enough to clean. The water tank is small but not too small to be impractical, just need to empty on regular basis, and make sure the 'blade' is clean, it has a tendency to hang onto things like hair, which causes streaks.
If you have the budget and your expectations are not too high, then this is worthwhile. If you are wanting that perfect finish without fluffing around to sort out the bits at the end, then wouldn't recommend.
Not as advertised – I bought the WV 6 + KV 4 Bundle. I was hoping for great things, unfortunately it was NOT to be. I thought I would give it a good test to start with, so I attempted to clean the shower glass. I used the KV4 first, it cleaned ok but when I got to the bottom where all the body fats and soap scum reside it couldn’t get through it. Looks like Jiff, a… Read more
scrubbing brush and elbow grease are the only way to remove that stubborn stain.
Then I used the WV6, as I scraped from the top of the screen down it grabbed the dust that sits on the top edge of the glass and the whole thing went bad. So, I wiped the top of the glass with a cloth and tried again. The machine does NOT go all the way down the bottom and I had to go horizontal at the bottom to get that bit.
It did a good job, the glass looked clean enough and better than before but if you are a neat freak like me or maybe selling your property and want the glass perfect then you will be disappointed. After doing both sides and looking at it from different angles you can see the streak marks and the bits that are NOT clean.
If you get any foreign material (dust/dirt/hair) on the squeegee part you have to remove said foreign materials from the surface, clean the squeegee head and start again.
Next, I tried the round bathroom mirror. Same story. Then I tried the square ensuite vanity mirrors, once again same story. I actually had to get a cloth to wipe them once I had finished to get rid of the streaks and marks let behind. As with the square shower glass the squeegee doesn’t leave the edge streak free.
I am stuck with the products now, so I’ll keep them and use them for spills clean up.
I like the Karcher brand and have had a pressure washer from them for 7 years now, just broke down and I bought another one as well as the WV 6 + KV 4 Bundle. I thought I would give it a go but unfortunately it does NOT do as advertised.
Save your $260+ dollars, get a bag of cheap cloths and some good window cleaner, you will be better off.
In fact after I used it that day, it's been in the cupboard ever since, such a waste, ooh well you live and learn.
Waste of money – My experience of this product left me feeling like a fool for spending $200 on what’s basically a battery operated squeegee. Unfortunately I can’t find anything positive to say about it. I tried it on my pool glass. Did nothing. Tried it on a window. Nothing. I gave it one last try on the shower recess. Hopeless. It’s too big and bulky to… Read more
use in a single shower recess.
I’ve used far more effective glass cleaners to, and as I said basically all you’re getting is a battery operated squeegee. Cannot recommend this product. I returned it and the glass cleaner for a refund.
