Kenwood DMX7522DABS

The screen mirroring option doesn't exist,no icon/widget appears. Glitchy at times through Bluetooth and radio. Takes too long to boot up and goes direct to Android Auto. Doesn't recognise Apple Carplay. Kenwood service department are absolutely hopeless and condescending, ignoring my valid points and pics via email. FALSE ADVERTISING as this unit doesn't do what it claims to do !!!
Is this Kenwoods idea of a joke? – Purchased in November and had it profesionally installed. I've been impressed with Kenwoods before but they've failed on this one. Very slow to boot up. It goes straight to android auto even if I had it on radio before, or it will jump to a different playlist to what I was listening to before. Station presets on DAB are really slow, like 7 or 8 seconds, so channel surfing is frustrating. All station presets and settings are lost when the battery is disconected and it's a frustratingly slow process to reset all the settings. Android auto drops out completly on motorways, mostly around toll points, and leaves me trying to figit with it whilst driving. I have no steering wheel controls so volume adjustment is real difficult, I have to take my eyes off the road because there's no feel on the button. So is there anything good about it? It has both DAB and analog radio, good sound quality (when its not cutting out) , and reverse camera. This headunit has frustrated me so much I have removed it and fitted a DPX5300bt.

Kenwood DMX7522DABS - Missing DAB+ functionality – I recently purchased a Kenwood Head Unit (DMX7522DABS) for install into an Isuzu MUX 2018 model. The install was straight forward using a number of Aerpro Wiring Harnesses. The unit has Built-in DAB+ Tuner, for Digital Radio reception. Everything on the head unit works as expected except for one feature. When tuned into a digital radio station it should display Music Track and Artist information of that playing on the home screen of the digital radio in the "Now Playing" text information area. This is clearly stated in the Owners Manual (page 22) as a feature however that function does not work. I know the head unit is receiving the missing information because one can view it by pressing the "DLS" button and then pressing the "Return" button to go back to the home screen of the digital radio. This process is dangerous whilst driving and would be unnecessary if it functioned as advertised. (Please see photos below) I have confirmed this issue with Kenwood Australia Support but strangely they are unwilling to pursue the matter further by logging a defect. I have also confirmed this issue with a Kenwood Dealer here in Adelaide. I am advised this issue only applies to the "7000" series Kenwood Head Units. Other than that issue the head unit performs well.
