Worst kitchen appliance I’ve ever had – I replaced a 30 yo Breville food processor with Kenwood multi pro FP950........worst decision ever. Blades have shown cracking, soups left chunky, when you lift off the bowl the centre shaft falls off and the liquidiser very difficult to take apart to wash. Overall I try to avoid using it and prefer to use stick blender  Show details

There are better products out there – I have lost faith in the Kenwood Brand. This product chops well and makes a great cheesecake - but it has many shortcomings. Like other users, I get tired of constantly lifting the lid to return the food back into the main mixing bowl ( and if you are doing breadcrumbs or biscuits - then half of that goes over the bench ). The scales do not work… Read more

and cannot be relied upon at all. The centre attachment to hold the blades and bowl in place slips easily out of place and should have a longer attachment into the machine.

On the plus side is is easy to wash, looks good and holds a large capacity.

Good for the basics – This is a great machine for processing basic things- grating carrots, making banana smoothies, grinding up nuts for baking etc. It is a slightly 'delicate' machine though. I can feel there is a lot of pressure on the blades and motor, so if you want to process heavier things (e.g. blending dates, making your own milks) you'd be better to go for a… Read more

sturdier machine. Overall I am happy with the value for the money I spent. It has great versatility and takes up little space in the cupboard, so it's ideal for apartment dwellers. Versatility of functions Weak parts + Motor... doesn't feel very sturdy

Terrible – I bought this to replace a tiny Sunbeam Oskar that is 16yrs old. It's still going fine but only has a very small bowl which is becoming inadequate for a family of 5. I've mostly just used this for chopping. something that a food processor should excel at, it does not! Processing vegetables or even bread crumbs in an even manner is a chore. I… Read more

continually have to remove the lid and scrape the sides back down into the bowl and start again. Not a big problem you might think? But add the design of the lid which just catches food and creates a terrible mess every time you remove it making the whole process tedious. I've since pulled the old Sunbeam out and am using it again. Even though it takes 3 loads in the Sunbeam to do what the Kenwood would easily fit in 1 the Sunbeam is still at least twice as quick and half as messy.

The slicing and grating blades are no better either, they don't seal at the lid so you end up with large (1/4 of a carrot) sized bits in your nicely grated carrot. Completely pointless I've since retrieved the Sunbeam from the donations box.. Comes with a lot of bits, but I doubt they all work Almost everything, doesn't do what it should

Pricey but Worth it! ( Considering How many Appliances it Replaces) – I've used my Kenwood food processor for 5 years now and I don't regret it at all. The citrus juicer is great a real time and arm saver when juicing large amounts. The knife blade attachment needed replacing after 3rd year, it started to split, but it was very easy to get a replacement part. It juices, crushes nuts, makes smoothies, blends… Read more

brilliantly, even after 5 years of use. I like the weighing scales and the all-in-one functionality, uses up a lot less room than having an individual, food processor, citrus juicer, fruit & veggie juicer, scales, & dough mixer. Expensive

Kenwood brand avoid at all costs – On my second machine since February, the motor very smelly, sales people at Harvey Normans told me to buy the Breville BFP800 instead. Vegies jam in top of lid, more trouble to unjam vegies, easier to cut them. Guess Kenwood reputation isnt what it use to be. I thought I was buy the best, I was very wrong, so disappointed.

A bit pricey for what it is – I bought the FP950 about 18 months ago and it was a big decision for me as it's not often I can justify spending several hundred dollars on myself. The sales assistant told me the only real benefit to the 950 over the lower model was its in-built scales. I liked this idea, so I bougth it. I now really regret this decision as I spent nearly an… Read more

extra $100 and the scales are not nearly sensitive enough. I just use my separate electronic scales to measure everything, then pour it in. Cross-checking this way has shown that the scales in the 950 are quite inaccurate.

After about 1 year, the handle snapped on the 950's main jug too, right at the base where it connects to the jug.

This food processor isn't the greatest... the slicing function gets jammed once I get near the end of a vegetable and the shredding function is virtually useless.

I do like the juicer functions and the machine is quite good for blending and chopping things like onions but the motor is not strong enough to do intensive tasks like, mixing cake batter.

All in all, not a terrible purchase, but considering its price, I would have liked more. Good for basic processing, juicing and blending SCales don't work well, handle broke after 1 year and slicing/shredding functions are poor

Good, simple to work with but plastics could be better – I bought my Kenwood Fp950 back in February and I was surprised at what I could do with it. Extremely versatile and functional and the unit itself takes up little space in the cupboard. Great at mincing and chopping meats and vegetables, very fast at preparing a salad ad enough power to mix pizza dough (I was surprised by that). Thought I would… Read more

never use the citrus press as I do have a manual one from Alessi but I use it a lot. It extracts a lot of juice.

Another feature I thought I wouldn't use as much as I actually do is the continuous juice extractor, I have used a dedicated one from Ariete and the one on FP950 works better, as far more capacity and it is easier to clean and without as much parts to clean. The plastic thing to take out the pulp of the fruits is very handy.

About criticism about the scale it is not very precise but it does the job.

Egg beaters are not as good as the ones found on Bosch and the storage of the parts is somewhat clumsy. Kenstore could have been better sorted out.

Some people say when you take out the bowl the spindle tends to fall, have talked about that with friend which have other brands and they say with the processors they have happens pretty much the same.

No problem with figuring out which base goes on the spices mill and the blender.

Some plastics are not as strong as I would like.

After all things considered, it is a pretty good machine, bought it at a great price and very handy to use. I use it far often then I would expect, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day for different things.

I recommend it. Practicle, poerfull, complete set, good price Needed to be more organized when it comes to storage and some plastics are not very good

Excellent – Great product, no issues with at all and use most days. The liquidiser is heavy duty glass (not cheap plastic) and the built in scales work really well. Not to sure if I would pay the RRP (approx £175), I woudl ut a magimix instead, but I only paid £118 (in VAT) from Costco. Looks Good, Performs well, Built in Scales Loads of attachements - not enough cupboard space

OK – Just needs the design of the blender base fixed and it would be a perfect addition to any kitchen. For the price I would expect a sturdier base design for the blender attachment loads of attachments so can do much more that standard food processors love the built in scales looks great on the kitchen bench. The citrus juicer is great as you can… Read more

make up to about 1.5 litres of juice in one batch Glass blender jug has a very bad design flaw - the screw on base base is held secure by two small red clips - I have already returned one as it snapped and the new one just snapped again - meaning a second return for replacement. The blender is completely useless if the clip is broken as it leaks everywhere

It has the following parts..... 1..processor .... the processor has a power unit detatchable drive shaft … Read more ·  2

Firstly it is fitted with a built in weighing scale which makes it easy to weigh the ingredients directly in the bowl or liquidiser jar. This is a unique feature of kenwood multipro libra. Its maximum weighing capacity is 3kg.It comes with a removable weighing plate for weighing ingredients without using bowl or jar.

The knife blade is the most used at our place .Its quality is very good, sharp and does its job very well .I use it to make pastry dough, chopping vegetables, nuts, pureeing the soups and to make crumbs

from bread/biscuits.I use dough tool to make dough out of flour.

I use twin beater to whisk egg whites, cream , sugar with eggs etc , after use it is easy to clean.

Maxi blend canopy allows us to increase the liquid processing capacity while blending the liquids, so it prevents leaks.

Various Shredding discs take care of all our slicing/sredding requirements. All the disc are sharp and the quality is very good ( non- rusting surface). Its very easy to slice potatoes in the shape of our choice to make fries.

It has a sturdy base and the motor is very silent compared to other food processors even on high speed.

Citrus press helps us to squeeze juice from citrus fruits ( oranges, lemons and grapefruits ).

Mill is used to mill herbs, nuts and coffee beans.

Centrifugal juicer is there for making juice from fruit and vegetables.

The food processor is supplied with an attachment storage carousel that fits inside the bowl and which makes it very easy to store all the attachments at one place.

The food processor is easy to clean and maintain. I make it a point to clean it after every use.I wipe it with a damp cloth and then dry it.

Moreover it does not have any corners or edges where food can get stuck.

All the attachments can be washed on the top rack of the dishwasher.

Cord can be stored in the storage area at the back of the machine.

I am very happy and satisfied with the performance of Kenwood multipro LIBRA and recommend it to everyone who wants to make their kitchen work easy peasy... Unique impressive design, stable base, sharp blades and shredding discs, large feeding tube. It is an expensive buy - wait for the special deals.

Terrible – Keep looking. I am returning mine to the shop today and hopefully I will find something that really does do the job intended. The bowl is 3lt so can hold a lot of ingredience. Grated and sliced carrots well. Came with a glass blender which worked well. I would have been happier with just a food processor rather than a lot of attachments that… Read more

didn't do a great job. Didn't seem to do anything all that well. The scales were all over the place. Takes quite a few seconds before the scales stop at a weight, plus they don't work when the blades are spinning. Didn't chop nuts all that well in the small bowl or cut up fresh herbs either well in the special attachment. In short, compared with my 1984 Robo-Chef food processor, it was a very poor second place. Very disappointed, especially for the cost.
