Horrible Kenwood Blender – Blade just snapped off just after warranty ran out. Never blended well, hard to use and poor quality. Could not blend in one go would have rest it after a minute to 30 seconds. Had a Barmix before this and it lasted for years and was fantastic. Do not waste money on this. Will not buy another Kenwood hand blender. Show details

Quality has dropped – We bought our first Triblade about May 2014 and it worked perfectly until early 2023, when the nylon drive gear stripped. We put it down to it being at the end of its life, so replaced it in March 2023. We were quite surprised that 7 months later the same thing happened to the new one. We used the new one for exactly the same kitchen prep… Read more

things so it's not a situation where we asked it to do more than it's capable of doing.

We received a refund from the seller only because they didn't have any stock on hand, including of the more powerful unit. This is an especially good little appliance because it's easy to clean, and the attachments are very useful. We'll buy again, but if the next one doesn't perform well, we will have to investigate something different. The only reason we aren't going back to the 20 year old Swiss-made Bamix is because it's too awkward to clean.

Do not buy!! – I'm a huge Kenwood fan as previously products have lasted for years. I was soooo disappointed when the motor burned out after a couple of uses. Have lot my faith in Kenwood. Show details

Ok for price but not for frequent use – I've had mine for just over 4 years now and it's time to replace. I use it every week to blend thick sauces for business. Pros: cheap; good value seeing as you get a few attachments; good if using personally and light use; includes turbo button and different speed setting; rubber handle; easy to use; easy to clean. Cons: After 4 years, brown… Read more

liquid from motor seeps down the inside of the attachment and goes into the food; the socket where the attachment connects is burnt out and melted now; the inside of the attachment pieces are hollow and liquid will go inside it; the blades lose their shape and bend backwards if blending thicker ingredients - weaker metal.

I would buy it again as it is cheap and good value, easy to use and clean, parts are easy to change and generally a handy blender for home. Note: I use the blender to blend large quantities of sauce and it has lasted over 4 years. However, since I am using it frequently for business now, I'll be investing in a commercial blender as they are more durable especially with stronger blades that don't bend back.

Another quality kitchen appliance from Kenwood – What a great little stick mixer. Kenwoood has clearly given a great deal of thought to what is needed in a stick mixer. I was looking for a simple electric whisk to save time getting the big Kenwood out of the cupboard and this seems to fit the bill perfectly plus it came with a lot of other handy attachments. The 700 watt motor is powerful enough… Read more

to handle most jobs from mashing potatoes to pureeing soup. It comes with a handy chopper attachment and integrated bowl which has a removable non-slip base. A bigfoot attachment is large enough to blend soups and other foods requiring pureeing and the triblade works extremely well. The way the unit is constructed ensures that the motor is kept well away from food, avoiding food splashing up and possibly getting caught in the spindle.

The potato masher works like a ricer and makes the most wonderful creamy mash as well as being useful for mashing other cooked vegetables. The unit has a range of power settings and a turbo switch which is useful for that extra burst of power. Whilst a little more expensive than some of the other stick mixer on the market, the extra money is well worth it and there are some great bargain prices available on this unit. A quality unit with all the attachments you could ever want or need. Easy to use and clean. The triblade system works well and ensures even mixing/chopping etc. It lacks a holder for all the attachments. The use instructions could be better and it would benefit from a recipe book.

Love my Kenwood Tri-Blade Stick Blender! – I love this unit, I have been wanting to get another food processor for a while but ended up getting this due to the attachments and the small processing bowl. The whisk is a bit flimsy but still does the job, you just can't use it for really thick things. The large tri-blade for hot soups is amazing - smooths out the soup and is so much better… Read more

than having to pour hot soup into a blender!

I wish that the mini food processor lid had a small opening for making things like mayo where you gradually add the oil in, would make it so much more convenient than having to use the whisk.

The potato ricer attachment is amazing, gets sooo much use in the winter - makes really smooth and creamy mash.

The motor gets really hot if you are using it for a while, like when you make mayo with it - so for that I suppose I would use a regular food processor. Inexpensive, Lots of useful attachments and great food processor for a small family. No storage for all the attachments & motor runs hot

Excellent - I use it almost every day – The HDP406WH comes with a chopper bowl with blade, which acts like a small food processor. This is what I use almost everyday. I found my larger food processor to large for smaller amounts. When cooking curries or pasta dishes. I use it to chop onions, chop garlic/ginger and green/red chillies. It's excellent , it has now become something I… Read more

really can't cook without.

I have used the tri blade for pureeing soup but for me it is the chopper bowl with the blade that I use the most.

The only down side to this machine is although I usually hand wash it , it has started to retain water in the lid of the food processor, The lid of the chopper bowl needs a good wash after use and while doing this it has started to retain water inside the lid .

I can't remember when I bought it but I have now been using it for years

What variety of uses – Blend it, chop it, in the pot or in one of the containers. It's SO easy. Excellent control, can leave the product with texture or smooth as. The wide surround stops liquids splashing and the slotted surround mashes potatoes perfectly. Have thrown away my hand whisk for this speedy alternative. It's all so easy to clean up. Great product

Burnt out after a few uses – Bought it late last year, hardly ever used. Tried using it now only to have the motor burn. Could smell the burnt rubber and the stick felt hot and too shaky to hold. What a waste of $79. Show details

Lasted about 5 uses – This Kenwood stick blender worked fine for a handful of times, then suddenly the motor stopped completely. It won’t turn back on at all, have tried all the different attachments. Have had it for 7 months now but not used much since we tend to use our (big) blender. Very disappointed, luckily still under warranty but waste of time… Show details

Not Durable. Works only for 7 months – The Kenwood Triblade HDP406WH worked for 7 months before it stopped working. The warranty was for 1 year. Its been 4 weeks now, since I have contacted Kenwood support and have yet to receive my replacement. Will probably increase my rating if they can provide me the replacement unit, but disappointed so far. Show details

It's hazardous – Bought this because I am a Kenwood Chef fan. I assumed all their appliances were good. I was so wrong. I washed the lid attachment and water got into it. splatter. It does not help. The plastic bowl is of bad quality and has tiny cracks in it. Ive used it about 6 times this far and still cannot get the water out. The plastic has worn out in these minimal uses to chop mint, milk power and cream, some roasted peanuts, onions and tomatoes. I can no longer use it for anything moist because I won't be able to use the paper towel to catch the dirty water that is now a year old.

Water logged – I've been using the triblade series for many years. I've gone through about 2 sets so far. The items that failed was the stick itself, the lid as well as the mini chopper container. The stick basically burnt out and was super hot to use; The stick also started having black liquid come out which would then fall into our food (like Batter or mash)… Read more

The lid has water in it but we've never submerged it or dishwahsered it; I couldn't take it apart either to remove the water.

The mini chopper container has a crack in it.

Wish the whole thing was dishwasherable ;)

I do not recommend purchasing Kenwood stick blender – Components broke on first day. Water gets inside components and I did not submerse them in water. Food processor struggles to mix even simple hommus. Motor burnt out after 2 years. My previous Braun mixed everything with ease, no water in components, lasted 15 years before I jammed the cord in a draw causing it to short out. Either they don’t make them like they used to or Kenwood are terrible quality. Not happy. Will not buy Kenwood again. Show details

It rusts easily – It is overpriced and pieces rust so it’s no longer usable and quite frankly toxic. I recently bought a jug an toaster too in the same brand and they also rust in less than 12 months. I am sure there are others like me that don’t have time to take back they just replace. Don’t buy is my recommendation. Show details

Hardly used. Out of warranty and died. Total waste of money – I’ll never buy another Kenwood product. I’ve hardly used the HB720 even though I’ve had it for a few years, and it’s dead. Died just after a year – I always loved using it. Bought in end of 2018, hardly used but for last couple of months (Roughly 3 months)I have been using it more often Let’s say since my Bub started solids. Unhygienic – I have been using a Kenwood Triblade hand blender since last Chrsitmas when my wife gave it to me. I am very fussy about cleaning all my ktchen devices thoroughly and was horrified when I prepared to use the Triblade again, a few weeks after the previous time, when I found specks and drops of black stuff oozing out of the 'finger grip' spindle. … Read more

On closer inspection I also found traces of this mould inside the lid and around the rim.

Clearly the blended material makes its way up the inside of the spindle and seems impossible to remove. In time it turns to mould and will infiltrate whatever is being blended when next operating. This poses a health risk and should be addressed.

Worked great! Died too soon! – I used my unit once in a while from late last year and a lot more frequently this year. One day I heard a little pop while mashing chick peas and it stopped working. No more Kenwood – Expensive device considering the poor design and quality. Even 1 star is too much. Had to replace the first motor after only 2 years. Design fault due to O ring – The main problem with this product is the black O ring on the blade attachment that comes off continually. After just seconds of use, the unit emitted a strange sound, so we discontinued blending to find that the black O ring, had popped off. had this problem.

Apart from this design fault, the unit has restrictive rules about how long it can be in use in one stretch, as the motor gets very hot. Very few parts can go in the dishwasher and the manual states that it does not deal with blending ice.
