perfect blend – the blending ability is fantastic. blends really well and leaves no chunky bits at the end. the end is a lava like consistency- not to think but not too thick. the blender itself is very sturdy and built extremely strongly. the noise is not too loud either  Show details

Purchased the pink one & its the best! – I purchased the pink one a while ago, over 2 years ago I think but not sure it still works perfect the signs if that's what they are called on the thing that is turned around when you want to change the settings have faded but that's expected with all the use over time, just love the way it works, the design & colour we have recently purchased… Read more

their continuous juicer cake mixer pink thing I think its called, we use the juicer more now, we purchased it in light pink I think it was called K sense or something like that, it is also PERFECT!!! love this brand.

It is good but I might be too lazy – This is my first blender, and it is not that bad. At least , it is easy to use and able to blend a perfect smoothie. The only downside is that it is not easy to clean, so every time it takes me much effort to persuade myself to clean it.  Show details

Paid $350 from Myer, not happy at all – This blender looked good in Myer and was sold to us by the sales person as a high performance blender. From day one, never really happy with it. It would leave clumps of fruit even after 60 second blends, and adding pulse. Spinach would not be blended and still have small peices. We have since upgraded, spent a little more money and VERY HAPPY… Read more

now. If you have a little extra in your budget, I would avoid this one and upgrade to a better quality blender.

Not a reliable product – Product looks good, lasted for two years only using twice per month to blend fruits, leaves me very disappointed .I don't recommended this blender.  Show details

Dissappointing product – Looks nice, however I have had numerous issues. 1. Glass jug cracked twice and had to have it replaced and therefore without a blender both times for approx 6 weeks. 2. 2nd time glass was replaced the lid no longer fitted so this had to be replaced as well (another 3 weeks without a blender). 3. When lid was replaced it was such a tight fit… Read more

it's extremely difficult to get on and off. At times I have to get my husband to do it.

4. When blending carrots for my 7 month old just recently the rubber circle from what appears to be underneath the blade (the small one) came off in the carrots and there was rubber all the way through it.

5. Setting pictures on dial came off after about 2 months but according to Kenwood this wasn't covered by warranty so I've never really known which setting it's on.

As a result of all the issues I have had with this blender and the amount of times I have had to call customer service helplines who were no use whatsoever, I would never buy another Kenwood product. I had my previous blender (Breville) for 10 years and decided to update it only because the silver casing was rusting on the outside of it. Bad idea.

A real dud – This blender looks great but performs very badly. The blending power is poor, it will not blend firm or hard food items and even blending vegetables takes some time. The blades are small and it is impossible to do a large volume at a time as it just won't mix the ingredients if the blender is more than a third full. Buyer beware!!! the colour limited power, small blades, inefficient

Looks good but nothing more – A wedding present gone wrong. We both agreed we wanted a simple, powerful, well built blender to last us until the kids left home. Two years of very light work is all it lasted. As others mentioned, the settings wore off the dial very quickly so no idea what setting it's on. Then seemingly unprompted the glass bowl cracked round the middle (common… Read more

it seems.) Unfortunately it was a gift from offshore and sending it back to the UK isn't an option. We got two Kenwood Kitchen products as wedding gifts and both have failed, our top of the range bread maker lasted 3 months, the replacement Panasonic hasn't missed a beat. Looks great. Looks trendy but that is about it – I was pretty unimpressed by this blender. It looked simple and high quality but it wasn't. After about 15-20 uses the markings wore of the knob and I now have no idea what setting it is on. It also blends anything but highly liquid substances. Anything thick (i.e. dip mixtures) tend to get stuck around the outside. I also found it didn't blend up… Read more

ice very well - obviously not very powerful. It now sits on the bench looking nice but not doing a lot! Looks nice, simple function, no unnecessary bits and pieces. Markings wore off knobs, not very powerful, can only blend a limited amount of foods

Seemed to tick all the boxes but in reality it's all form, no function – I wanted a blender that was powerful, easy to clean and looked good in our kitchen. We use a blender to make smoothies with fresh and frozen fruit, and sometimes to make pesto. This blender seems to be a winner in every respect... until you use it. The design of blades and jug seem to be such that there is no natural movement of contents towards… Read more

the blades, and lumps get stuck down the bottom and never blended.

Honestly every time I have used this (for about a year) it has produced sadly lumpy results. Yes, it's capable of crushing ice, fruit & sugar into a sorbet but the process requires so much removal of the lid and readjusting of the contents, time and again, and in the end there are still lumps, it's barely worthwhile. And the lid is difficult to get on and off so this is even more annoying than it sounds.

Even a simple smoothie of banana and soy milk will have big lumps of banana in it, regardless of how long it is blended. Really, really not good enough.

Now I have dropped the blade holding assembly part (plastic) on the floor and it's chipped enough to make the jug leak. It will cost $49 to replace and I am thinking that will be throwing good money after bad.

Sadly, sadly disappointing. Looks great. Powerful motor. Easy to open and clean. Simple, uncomplicated operation. Simply does not blend as well as it should.

It is OK blender, nothing spectacular – My experience with this blender is not that ban, but not very good either. It looks sylish on the bench.... but that's about it. The blending function is very limited. It is not strong enough to process hard ingredients like nuts. I used it primarily to liquidise soups and make smoothies for the kids. I liked the looks The price is very expensive for this kind of appliance

Terrible – i bought the red one which was on sale because i wanted to make an ice blended drink like the ones they sell at boost and gloria jeans. so i followed the instructions but i still can't get the same consistency as the shops. my drink was very watery and all the ice turned into water. the second time i tried not to blend the ice too much but the… Read more

drink ended up with medium chunks of ice cubes and still watery. i tried all the different functions but the only thing it does is blend - so i only use it for soups now. very disappointing. blends big, bulky, heavy. doesn't make good ice blended drinks. gives off burning rubber smell when blending.

Excellent – I read reviews of the major brands in Australia, + a few high-end. All had many poor reviews, so I bought this for more than I had planned to spend. First, I love the red color and was willing to pay more than for a white one on sale. I worried the straight sides might not pull ingredients downwards, but works great. I've mostly used it to… Read more ·  1

homogenize soaked grains and beans. Was using an old 350w Sanyo, but the washer was perished, so time for new. I was surprised when I received this that it was bigger than I'd imagined in photos. Yet, handles easily, including washing. Single knob and flat surfaces makes base easy to clean. Jug to blade connection easy, as is jug to base.Doesn't go unless all parts seated properly. I have ME/CFS and needed something easy to handle, like this. I love this machine, and as you'd hope in 2010, it's better than any other blender I've had. If the smell resolves or becomes a problem, I'll post a follow-up. Powerful, quiet, good ergonomics. as boredhousewife writes, burning smell. Purchased online with 3 yr. ext. warranty, so will check with retailer re whether this is due to new motor, or my usage.
