Disaster in engineering – The blender is poorly shaped and very difficult to blend anything vaguely thick. Won't form a vortex and doesn't spin fast enough to smooth things out. Food processor blade and spice grinder broken within the first year. The slice and grate functions are good for making coleslaw and similar. Show details

Very poor quality – I have always used Kenwood cake mixers so I deliberately bought a Kenwood for my food processor. Big mistake. The quality has definitely dropped. I used the dual whisk attachment to make a pavlova. The motion of the whisk head inside the holder generated friction and it melted the plastic top of the whisk head, not only making both pieces… Read more

unusable, but dropping bits of plastic into my pavlova.

Last week I used the chopping blade to chop fresh, ripe plums. They had already been cut in half and had the stone taken out. On the 3rd load, the top half of the spindle broke away from the bottom half. It is probably only the 12th time I have used that attachment. I have had the machine less than a year.

The quality of the attachments and the whole machine in general is incredibly poor. Very disappointed in Kenwood (Delonghi).

Not bad, depend entirely on what function you use – Pro: chopping great coffee grind great beaters are pretty good (very fine beater heads, plastic parts) satisfying power knob very clean aesthetic blender jug is glass (more below) Middle ground: grater is very middling performance, lots of carrot/zucchini gets caught up in processor. Cons: not dishwasher safe? loud as hell blender jug base unthreads same direction as unlocking jug from base, can result in you wearing the entire contents. Show details

Absolutely pathetic! It won;t cut / mix different type of cheese, not to mention other types of food – Absolutely pathetic! It won;t cut / mix different type of cheese, not to mention other types of food. It is not cheap, and it does not even do half a job of a quarter of a price one! Will take it back, never by this brand again! Show details

Designed in Britain to 1950's standards – After years of faultless service our Bosch food processor power knob stuck - but Bosch no longer sell food processors so we made the mistake of buying this Kenwood We used it once - then it stopped working (the safety interlock no longer engages so will not turn on). The Bosch was 800W - place vegetables in bowl turn on and they are quickly and… Read more

effortlessly pulverised. By comparison the Kenwood's 1000W failed to do so. Vegetable had to be manually cut up into small pieces with each added one at a time (painfully slow) - even then the Kenwood had to be running at maximum speed and often a piece would still get stuck on the blade throwing the machine out of balance (dangerous)

I give it one extra star for being quieter than the Bosch but that is probably because the Bosch was at least 6 years old

Would never buy a Kenwood appliance again – When deciding what to buy, I compared Breville with Kenwood mixers, and decided on this Kenwood model as it had the blender attachment (save on appliances on bench) I bought this from Farmers, Westfield, Riccarton. It can not cut onion's finely. It doesn't cut cold cubed butter into flour for making pastry, crumble topping or scones - it goes… Read more

round and round and makes a big ball of butter... Doesn't like it when you crush biscuits. The blender attachment - if you hold your tongue right, you might get it attached, if you're lucky!! 15 months after I bought it, the blade attachment separated in half, still works... and my son knocked the bowl on the edge of the gas hob. the bottom bit that helps click the bowl on to the base broke off (question the quality of plastic they use), so now I'll be buying a new processor.... (the bowl has never been in dishwasher) Oh how I wish I took it back and said it wasn't fit for purpose after the first batch of scones... I had higher expectations for this brand...

Fault. First Time Used – I have just opened my newly purchased FDM 785BA Kenwood Food Processor. I bought it from Morehouse Ave, Harvey Norman in Christchurch. The spring and red lever at the base of the glass blender fell out. I tried it anyway but the blender didn't go. I will be returning it.  Show details

Worked really well, until it didn't! – The processing worked well, both blender and food processor, maybe the first 5 or 6 times I used it. Then it just died, for no reason. Still under warranty but I have to take it to a place that is an hour drive away to drop it and then pick it up again with no guarantee that they will fix it. I bought an expensive, supposedly high quality, high… Read more

reputation product. It is bad enough that it broke down so soon after purchase, but the fact that they make it impossible to get it fixed under what appears to be a good warranty is outrageous.

Kenwood Processor FDM785BA - Multipro Classic. Faulty product do not buy!!! – I bought this at Farmers in NZ late last year for $320 on special. It broke after a month (used about 8 times). Farmers informed me that there is a fault with this model - the safety switch locks on after a few uses and means that you cannot use the blender at all. They have informed Kenwood that they have had over 20 people return their machines,… Read more

however Kenwood have not recalled the product. I trusted Kenwood only as did many of my family and friends but I will not buy a Kenwood product again. Dissapointing from what was once a great trusted brand!
