Do not waste your money – I was given this steam mop as a gift. It does leave a lot of water on the floor after use so I had to wipe over my tiles with a towel afterwards so not to get water marking. Definitely do not use this on hardwood floors for that reason. The mop did remove most dirt after a few go overs. After 9 months of minimal use it just died, thankfully within… Read more
the warranty period. I was directed to a local company who deals with all claims and was advised that there was a problem with the fuse and I was issued a brand new mop to my delight. Unfortunately after only having the new mop a few months it also died. Would not recommend this product.
Disappointed – Not happy that after spending $100 and something dollars that the filter is a solid unit and I have to buy a new filter. I am not going to spend any more money. Will go back to mopping. They didn't explain this to me at the time of purchase.
Don't bother – I had this steam mop. It worked for a total of 6 months before it just died. I contacted Kenwood to claim the warranty and they directed me to another warranty company who "looks after" this particular product. They had no idea what I was talking about. It appears that nobody wants to claim responsibility for a faulty product. Bad warranty service, faulty product
Very Disappointed – I purchased this mop (SC4160) after my Kenwood SC2000 stopped working, I had the SC2000 for many, many years without any problems. The SC4160 machine was smaller, but I thought I would find it easier to use, as I am not getting any younger, but instead found that it leaves a lot of water on the floor when cleaning causing me to have to wipe it… Read more
over again after washing. There were no SC2000 equivalent in stock when I purchased this one. Very annoyed
leaves way too much water on the floor when cleaning
Unaware of the extra costs – Was really happy at first, always wanted a steam mop, only to discover that the manual suggested changing the filter every three months, I have since discovered that you have to order these filters at a quoted $90 something dollars, and the mats are also to be ordered! Would love to have been able to pop into shops and get what I need. the machine works great dosent last 20mins
Not sure – Just got this from the warehouse sale on the weekend and have been wanting to buy one for a while, it glides easy on floor tiles that i used but was surprised at how much water it left behind. So will not try it on carpet. The cord length is way too short and not much info in the manual. Easy to use Leaves the floor a bit wet for a steam mop, cord short
Just got this – Its definately easier than mopping and it does a good job. Have always mopped so was really happy with the job this does. It glides so easily over the floor. Leaves less water on the floor than mopping. Am using it for tiles, just popped the cleaning mats in the wash when I was finished. Simple, easier to use. The cord is kinda short so I need to use an extension cord.
