Rusted parts after 18 months – Great looking storage for our pool pump, fairly easy to assemble but within 18 months the hinges for the lid have snapped due to rust and this is not covered in the warranty, which apparently covers nothing at all. The lid also gets out of shape in the sun so be very careful here and how you use this product.  Show details

Hmm, it is a lot smaller than I'd imagined it to be? – Please Note: This review will be based on several sub-heading categories to allow readers to skip using their smart mobile devices or computer systems to jump to sections where the information matters most. Headings - Introduction - Customer Service - Products - Pros Vs Cons - Final Thoughts INTRODUCTION Going to Bunnings, I was interested in… Read more

two sheds and eventually based on what I had seen previously at Costco, its pricing and practicality. I thought it would be a nice addition to have in my humble abode. As of writing this and since late January 2020, I have acquired a builder to take on several projects with internal and external renovations.

The long story short, I am dedicating the space in my garage as a Home Gym and that I wanted to separate all of the things that make it a gym; with other things that make it gardening and miscellaneous storage.

Hence through the builder, these items were purchased early February 2020. This was in the purchase of the Keter Grande Store for the purpose of storing my bicycles and a Keter Manor 6x8; though that in itself requires a different review.

CUSTOMER SERVICE The customer service I got from Bunnings was non-existent; hence I got my builder to liaise with them to get the order in as well as picking the goods up directly from a designated Bunnings store in the A.C.T. I just did not want to pay the additional costs towards delivery which is an awful lot.

PRODUCTS The Keter brand is American. I've never bought their products before; but I have found some of them to be quite convincing. The digital manual from the Bunnings website is annoying to read. My builder's onsite laborers found it difficult to assemble; for both of them.

PROS Vs CONS PROS - Can use its own floor instead of pouring a concrete slab. Although I had poured a slab regardless - A lifting gas-strut system which is great - Water proof - Placing a lock on the locking mechanism is easier than the Keter Manor 6x8

CONS - Price - A finicky and annoying locking mechanism that you have to turn clockwise or anti-clockwise - A special order if ordered from Bunnings (weird?) - Assembly information is not in Metric; it is in imperial - The size circular hole would have been beneficial considering that most of normal people lock them - Not a great deal of space; only fits 3 bikes, but on an angle with the front wheel turned ever-so-slightly

FINAL THOUGHTS If in the future that I decide to buy this brand again; I will need to expect that what you think is appropriate for your storage needs; is in fact wrong. What this means is that I will need to find a physical demonstration or showcase model in a shop so that as a consumer; we can make a more prepared and informed decision to determine whether it is the "right fit for you". And it looks like in this case; I would really go for something that is much larger.

Good looking shed, durable and rain proof – I was so impressed with my first Keter Grande Store garden shed that I purchased over a year ago for my frontyard that I bought a second one for my backyard. The only reason I didn't give the shed 5 stars is that the shed does require a high degree of attention and work to carefully assemble the shed. But this effort is worth it to to ensure that… Read more

everything lines up correctly so that the base, side walls and roof come together perfectly. I am a proficient DIY but was tricky for me the first time around. The second time around, it was much easier and took me approx 2.,5 hours to put together on my own.

The shed is 1.9 m wide, 1.09 m deep and 1.32 m high. It is designed to open from the top and from the front through two "barnyard" style doors for easy access. The shed is made of resin, though the exterior Durotech walls can be painted, if required. It is weatherproof and low maintenance and has a modern, contemporary feel to it which I like. It is spacious enough to hold three large wheelie bins or other gear like 2-3 bikes, garden tools and equipment, etc.

The kit I purchased online was from Landera Garden Sheds (www.landera.com.au) and delivery was fast and arrived within 4 business days. The shed arrived in a large flatpack, weighing 65 kg so it is pretty heavy. The package came 100% complete with very detailed instructions (which you need) and all hardware (screws, hinges, frame supports, latches, roof pistons, etc. The only tools you need are phillips head screwdriver (recommend using a portable power driver) as there are a lot of screws to fit, a knife to undo the packaging and possibly a mallet. Whilst I assembled the shed by myself, it is highly recommended that you get some help when assembling the roof. Though you don't need to have a slab, it is important to put the shed on a level and firm base to ensure that the plastic base is stable and walls sit square.

Each component in the kit and screws are all marked clearly with labels which match up to the instructions. Care must be given when assembling the shed as it is easy to make mistake and get panels mixed up, frame supports back to front, etc. But if you follow the instructions carefully, you will find that everything comes together like a jigsaw puzzle and generally, pre-drilled screw holes line up when assembled correctly and I found the precision and quality of this product is excellent.

One noticeable difference between this Grande Store shed and my previous one is that Keter have replaced the door and locking mechanism with a much improved latch and circular open-close turning mechanism. Previously, the handle and lock was a bit fiddly and if the roof was not aligned perfectly, you could close or lock the shed. Now this improved design opens and closes much easier and the latch makes it easy to lock than before. It is good to know that Keter are improving their products all the time. But I recommend using a bit of WD-40 on the latch as it is quite stiff when new.

Overall, this is a good looking contemporary and functional shed. It is very easy to maintain and has proven to be weatherproof. My original shed has survived several heavy storms and manged to keep the contents dry and relatively dust-free. Though not the cheapest shed around, I like the modern look, easy-care and easy access to the contents. It is stronger than it looks and is well made.

On a final note, I was given a A$30 discount for agreeing to doing a review on the product on their website.
