I purchased this fridge 5 years ago & 6 months in, the thing couldn't reach the appropriate temperature. I sent emails to this company & they couldn't give a toss. They don't back thier warranty, scammers & ripp off merchants. I hardly even used the fridge, It was always powered off mains & was in a temperature controlled environment. PATHETIC… Read more
PRODUCT! If I see this guy on the street I will kick his hind quarters into the next world. Liars & thieves, DO NOT BUY!!!
Long story short doesn't compete against Engel fridges we thought we would give kickass a go with there product the silicone has come away inside the larger side of the fridge which has left a gap now for stuff so go in. We have had this fridge for longer then the warranty period but only been used around 5 times there feedback was just silicone… Read more
it back up yes may be out of warranty but I think it a fault with the fridge but hey you get what you pay for I guess but was not cheap either lol
Excellent service, extremely helpful. Top quality product. Special thanks to Robert for his help. Show details
Poor after sale service – I’ve had the dual zone just over five years and it hasn’t missed a beat, but I’ve probably only used it half a dozen times. The big test for it was recently I got back from three weeks and seven thousand kilometres in total crossing Simpson Desert, the fridge/freezer compartments worked perfectly. I went to use the usb and cigarette charging ports for the first time ever, and they didn’t work. And no one can tell me why they aren’t working. Show details
Kickass 75ltr dual zone fridge/freeze – Works perfect, definitely lives up to the kickass name, ran it for 4 days straight in 40degree weather while out camping and it didn’t miss a beat, the Bluetooth side of things is even better! Will definitely be slowly upgrading all camping gear to kickass
Reliable and low power draw – Bought 2nd hand as a reconditioned fridge off an auction site. Used several times as a fridge/freezer and works very well also just had it running for the past 6 weeks over Xmas for the extra room. Low power draw for such a large fridge great product. Show details
Horrendous – Absolutely the worst company I've dealt with. I bought it brand new and has never worked. There warranty process is a joke along with their customer service. I've had to send photos and recordings of the fault. Then I was sent a email telling me that it had to be sent back for repairs. In the email I was told that I had to pack the fridge with… Read more
bubble wrap and a cardboard bow for transport, as they would take no responsibility for damage. I was also told that they had no one in my area and they would have send a courier and I would have to be home all day as they couldn't give me a eta for pickup. I took took the day off work and the courier didn't show up. What a surprise. I have had to contact consumer affairs, as it is horrendous dealing with this company. They have informed me of section 54. This basically states that a product should perform the what it has been purchased for. I would SRONGLEY recommend to avoid Kick^ss product as the only butt that's going to get kicked is yours.
POOR QUALITY PRODUCT & WARRANTY – We purchased this fridge on 9 March 2019 to be used as our home fridge because we lived remotely and were off grid with limited battery storage attached to our solar panels. It worked well for the first couple of years but then it started to get noisy. Because of our remote location and genuine need to have somewhere to keep our food cold and… Read more
frozen, we decided not to anything about it because it meant sending the fridge from Cape York Peninsula in FAR north Queensland down to southeast Queensland where the closest repairer is located, a distance of almost 2,000kms away. We made this decision because heaven knows how much the freight would have cost and it put us in an impossible position of not having access to refrigeration. Please bear in mind that we were a 240km round trip from the nearest supermarket so we didn’t go to the shops very often.
On 13 August 2022 we increased our battery storage capacity and the number of solar panels we owned then purchased a 240V fridge. Once the new fridge was installed we turned the Kickass fridge off. The fridge was turned off from 13 August 2022 until 14 October 2024.
In early March this year (2024), my husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. He deteriorated very quickly so the last thing I was concerned about was seeing if the Kickass fridge was working before the warranty ran out.
My husband succumbed to his cancer on 2 September 2024. I had to move from the home that I loved, when the man that I loved was taken from me. At this point I decided to downsize my belongings which included the Kickass fridge. I advertised it on a social media platform, and I decided to make sure it was still working. Although the motor was running and it appeared to be working, it WOULD NOT get cold. I phoned Kickass Products and they gave me the link to the Kickass troubleshooting video on Youtube and that’s when I realised that there was a serious problem with the fridge. I also called a 12V fridge dealer in Cairns that I have dealt with for years, having bought 3 other 12V fridges through them. He advised me that although he wasn't an dealer of Kickass Fridges he had had some experience with them and he said that from his experience the fridge had an unrepairable gas leak.
On 18 October 2024 I phoned Kickass Products warranty area and I explained my situation with regards to the faulty fridge, the length of time that it had been turned off, what my husband and I had been going through which distracted us from the fridge warranty and the fact that he had succumbed to cancer but I was advised that it made no difference, the warranty was over.
The girl that I spoke to did consult with the warranty manager at Kickass but she advised me , through my my dead husband's email address of their decision. They would not honour the warranty. I was contacted again by phone on the 29th of October when I was advised of the same thing.
It was during this conversation that the Kickass employee advised me that the fridge should not have been turned off and that’s why it had stopped working and it was during this conversation that I informed her that I had just sold a Chescold 3way fridge that I had owned for 22 years which had been turned off for about 8 years and that it was still working perfectly and that I thought that their product was rubbish in comparison.
I also advised her that I had read some reviews since our earlier conversation and that I’d come to the conclusion that Kickass products are rubbish because they have a serious quality issue and that their warranty appears to be worthless too.
MY ADVICE - AVOID KICKASS PRODUCTS AT ALL COST. THEY ARE RUBBISH & THE ONLY REPAIRERS THEY HAVE IN QLD ARE THEMSELVES.
DON’T DO IT TO YOURSELF, BUY A BETTER BRAND.
3 years on not missing a beat – we use it only for camping trips it stays in the camper and everytime i test it the day before it is fine Show details · 1
Reliable fridge / freezer – It's been around Australia and used as a fridge/ freezer and full freezer. No problems at all. Show details
don't bother – 75 ltr fridge a few years old and out of warranty . The mother board is playing up and should be easy to change , however they DON'T HAVE PARTS and if you aren't on the sunshine coast there is no service
Warranty Process Is A Complete Joke – I bought this fridge in December 2021, and have only used it for short periods for 5-6 times at most. The last of which the left bin froze everything and ruptured my beer cans. The temp gauge for the left bin displayed 70 degrees C (both bins were set at +1 deg C). I checked the Kickass website for repair agents in QLD and called the one nearest… Read more
to me (50km), and was informed that the phone number was no longer in service. The other 2 nearest to me were 150km away, and I called both of them. One had never heard of Kickass, and the other ceased doing warranty repairs when Evacool stopped manufacturing Kickass fridges. 2 emails and 4 phone calls later, I managed to speak to a female human, and explained the fault. She told me to remove the fridge from my ute, take it inside the house, and power it off 240V. I told her that it was already in my workshop which is cooler that my house and I had already checked the 12v system voltage at the fridge (13.2v), and I am not going to waste my time taking it inside the house and testing it again. She then told me I have to send it back to Brisbane by courier for warranty repairs. Are you kidding me? I no longer have the original packaging to send it back in to ensure it doesn't get damaged. Why should I have to source and purchase the appropriate packaging materials in order to send it back to have a faulty thermistor replaced?? At this point I had had enough. There was no point me telling them that I had removed the faulty thermistor (simple plug and play, which took no more than 2 minutes) and tested it. It registered 1.1k ohms on the multimeter @ 25deg C, when it should have registered 10k ohms at the same temp. I even tested the control panel motherboard by swapping thermistors, and the 70deg display simply displayed on the RH bin, meaning that the motherboard is working fine. Klaeton, why do you insist in having a fridge return to Brisbane (500km from me) for warranty repairs, when in my case, the simpler option would have been for you to post a new resistor to me. I would have even posted the faulty one back to you at no cost. for you to test yourselves. Is it really that hard? On another note, thermistors are not available for sale from Kickass. I was told by your staff that their warranty dept, holds all of their stock for warranty repairs only, and none are available for sale to the general public. That contravenes the Australian Consumer laws. I can see why you are retaining stock for warranty repairs, because your thermistors look like $1.05 eBay specials. Here is another thought......use good quality thermistors instead of the cheap crap you are using, and you will probably never have a warranty claim for a faulty one ever again. I solved the thermistor problem in my fridge by buying 2 top quality Carel NTC015HP03 thermistors and installing them in my fridge. The Carel ones are bulletproof and rated at IP67. You owe me $72 for the Carel thermistors, plus 1.5 cartons of Bintang that your product destroyed Klaeton. I was considering purchasing another Kickass fridge for my camper trailer, but it won't be another one of your products. Your warranty process is pathetic at best Klaeton. The rot starts at the top.
Can't fault warranty – Bought the 75L a year and 2 weeks ago. Worked great until this week. Where its decided it doesn't want to cool anymore. No error codes are thrown. It just sits at the same temperate regardless where its set at. Pretty dissapointed. Edited to add. They fixed the issue within 2 months of the problem occurring. Worked well for over a year and it did… Read more
the same thing again.
Was sent back for warranty a second time and Kickass replaced the fridge under warranty to the newer model.

Fridge temp all over the place – Ive had the fridge 8 months and its been in twice for repairs now. 2 of those months its been in getting repaired. One was over Christmas, I had to borrow a mates fridge for that trip. Doesn't hold temperature is all over the place. Really disappointed really like the fridge when its running properly. Wanted to buy another one to leave in my camper trailer. But after reading all the other reviews with same issues dont think I will now. Show details
Warranty Issue – A friend bought a 75L KICKASS Fridge/Freezer (5 yr warranty). At 4 years it stopped getting cold. We happened to find a dealer by accident, Liverpool (top bloke) The dealer found a un-repairable leak & put in a claim. Australian Direct started ripping into him for finding the Problem without getting direction from them? In a word - trying to avoid the claim! I posted a review on Kickass site, it was posted - then quickly taken down Show details

It's not a 75 litre fridge – It's not hard to calculate the total volume of both bins. Use the bin dimensions on the website, they are accurate. The bin volumes add to 67 litres. When I contacted Kickass they advised that the solid divider between the bins is included as part of the volume and that this is 'industry standard'. Right. If you use the baskets that come with the… Read more
fridge the useable volume is down to about 60 litres. Another issue is that there are no holes in the base of the fridge cover corresponding to the drainage holes in the bins. In other words if you need to drain one of the bins you need to remove the cover, which is ridiculous. On a positive note the fridge is incredibly efficient.
Poor performance, refunded under warranty – Has anyone else had poor performance on their Kickass/evakool 75L dual zone fridge in a car or ute canopy? I've got a brand new one giving me endless grief! Great design/features, but fails at its primary function! Set to -18 degrees most days it reaches -5 (worst was +3), no errors and plenty of voltage. Evakool looked at it under warranty but… Read more
said it was working fine saying it was car voltage, but they tested my car and said it was fine (13v at the fridge). They ended up providing a full refund in the end. Went with a Weaco which has worked perfectly in the same car.. shame as I would have preferred to support a local company.
