Nice food and cheap price! – This is the most cleaver product for fried food without extra oil! We have bought this airfryer from catch.com.au for 69$ and its good! The only problem that got is the plastic construction that is getting vey hot when we use it! But still I don't regret that I bought this!! We will be investing in more expensive next time! Good - but have nothing to compare too – Often I do keto which is high fat. Other times hi cellular carb (potatoes etc.) with very low fat. The trick in maintaining satiation & not put on weight is rarely to mix carbs with fat. Almost all junk food has both high levels of fat AND carbs. for the kids (carbs + fat) any more. Rather can feed them for 50c using this by air frying McCain super fries from Coles. I tell the kids they are from Maccas and they believe me. Wolf them down. Its rather like they are just eating potato but they come out as if they are chips. The kids refer to the air fryer as "the dalek" * Great for doing sausages too. Rather then having to clean a baking tray.... just chuck them in and violla. Kids are fed. No mess * The Chicken is OMG! So awesome out of one of these things. Less cleaning, crispy if the skin is on. I get thighs with the skin on. One draw back is to get it just right is difficult. Careful its not pink on the inside. But when you do get it right its simply amazing! * I also eat a lot of hunted game meat. Dear burgers from coles come out well. Don't have to flip. No smoke. Just put in, forget, come out in 20 minutes and they are done. Perhaps beef would be the same?
Its kinda limited to those foods I mentioned. You couldn't do a whole chook either. All food have to have a high surface area to volume ratio.
Only annoyance is its kinda hard to "click in" the fryer. Cleaning is a vast improvement on an oven as you can just chuck the air fryer bit into washing machine.
We love it. Use it almost every day. If it breaks I might invest in a larger Panasonic model? I beleive better models have a higher surface area. Not sure if they produce a better result.
Cheap, nasty, poor performing product. No Kogan backing – The drawer I’d not close properly from first opening. First wash in dishwasher rust appeared on tray. Cooks much slower than my Philips XL Does not have an automatic turn off when finished bell just keeps ringing. Kogan are absolutely horrendous to deal with for return. 5 times I have lodged. Healthy option – Cooks very fast! Taste super light and are a much healthier option than oil frying and more convenient than baking however it only cooks fresh potatoes cut Into fries properly if you try putting store brought chips it doesn’t cook all the way through as you would like other than that it’s amazing for nuggets vegetables ect. Just throw it in the trash – I bought his machine based on the good reviews and the decent price but it is a waste of time. Can't get home cut chips crunchy – I have followed all the recommendations - right potatoes, soak in water, pat dry, toss in oil, right temp. They come out like roast potatoes, not fried chips. suitable for creating whole meal - would need to reheat chips after meat was cooked. Touch pad gets VERY hot during cooking. The basket gets coated in built up oil even if you wash with soapy water/ dishwasher each time.
Value buy and wish I’d got one sooner! – Digital screen is easy to use, food comes out crispy, quicker and just as good (if not even better than using a conventional oven). Simple and easy – Very satisfied, half the time with half the energy. Very efficient. Placed two chiken kievs that cooked better than the oven. Easy to clean and maintain.
