Two failed under warranty, third replacement about to give up
Atrocious throwaway build quality, the plastic catch burst on the first one and the motor failed on the second, just three months after replacement. The third one is getting very noisy and smells like an electrical failure is imminent so has been replaced with a larger model. As other reviewers have noted, they cannot handle dough or anything remotely firm. More's the shame because it's a nifty design - super easy to clip on and off, nice and light for arthritic hands, and everything packs down neatly inside the bowl for storage. If it was better built it would be the perfect compact food processor, but what use is a good design when it fails on the basics?

Terrible for dry ingredients, dough etc.
Does a poor job of processing dry ingredients. I bought this as the other types took up too much space in a cupboard, but this while good in size is only good for wet ingredients like soups etc. Blade spins too fast to make a so with dry ingredients just the bottom 1cm moves. I don't recommend this at all.

Has electrical issues
I bought this in April 2021 and have used it for making pastry, chopping etc- nothing out of the scope of a food processor. Like another reviewer I also had the same burning electrical smell after using it for about 5 minutes. I turn it off and it does work after a “rest” but Clearly this is a fault. Given the price it should be much better quality. Purchased via Qantas Frequent Flyer redemption. Qantas have not responded to my emails.

Great little performer
I bought this over 12 months ago
I like that it won’t drip into the motor if there’s a runover problem
It’s small but for what I do it’s an adequate size
The motor is reasonably powerful
It only has two settings
It’s easy to clean and looks neat on the counter I’ve not had any issues with it

Used this for three times and smokes start to come out!
I got this 7 cup processor last month. After using it a few times, today during when I was chopping some vegetables, smoke started to come out of the bottom. There was also smell of burning. But the machine continues to function. Contacted Kitchenaid via email, still waiting for reply. Abit difficult during Melbourne's locked down to return for servicing.
