Worked well until it worked very poorly then not at all – Good looking kettle that we spent extra on to upspec to this reputable brand. Was quiet and quick the. Just like other people have reported however, after about two years reliable use the kettle would get stuck at around 80 degrees and would take about 10minutes to reach 100 degrees. During which it would release clouds of steam into the house.… Read more

We would have to watch it like we would a kettle on the stove. It was after about 6 months of enduring this steamy situation that the kettle finally gave up the ghost. The digital readout still works as a display when kettle popped on its base but kettle will not increase temp beyond 27 degrees? Put it in the hard rubbish tonight. we are disappointed that a premium product performed so poorly!

Rarely used and died 4 weeks after two year warranty ended. Lid never worked – Fancy design which looks trendy. Lid never worked. Was always used properly but was also used rarely. In spite of this the kettle died four weeks after the two year warranty ended. Cheap Target Kettle was still going six years after we bought it. We only got rid of it in order to upgrade to something that looked nicer. Next time will prioritize function over form.  Show details

Great product – We are very very happy with this Kettle, now about 3 years old and has never missed a beat. Love the feature that keeps the water just below boiling point. It would seem that some others haven't had the same experience, however I am buying another one for our second home.

only boils to 95C . This can't be right – We've had this kettle a couple of years. It has recently developed a strange trait. The water boils (and keeps on boiling.....) but the temp reg shows only 95C (This is Canada). As a result it keeps on boiling the bubbling water and won't reach the auto shut off. Show details

Won’t boil – It won’t boil, the highest temperature it will reach is 70 degrees, tried cleaning the contacts and still no good, only had it a year and it started to crap out. Sadly it replaced a cheap kettle we had for years and never had a problem with it. Very disappointed in the product  Show details

NOT WORTH THE MONEY!! – I have had this kettle less than 6 months and it has stopped working altogether. Searched on internet and found people had a similar problem, waited 6 to 8 weeks for a new one, and then it again only lasted about 6 months. No more KitchenAid for me!!!! Also who can wait 6 to 8 weeks for a kettle??? Outrageous!  Show details

So glad it has been discontinued! – My husband purchased this kettle to replace a much cheaper one that had finally died after many many years. While it is certainly a stylish looking product, it is a terrible design. When the kettle is full, it is so heavy, and the angle of the handle so strange, that it has caused me a bad wrist strain injury. I can no longer lift the kettle… Read more

with one hand. My husband has also noticed pain and strain in his wrist when lifting this kettle. To put this in perspective, we are not frail elderly citizens - we are both sturdily built and in our 30s. The beeping is also loud, cannot be switched off, and wakes our baby. Just imagine - not being able to have a quiet cuppa when our bub is asleep. I am not surprised to see that this product has been discontinued. Unfortunately, it appears to still be available at many online stores for a premium price of around $200. Buyers beware!
