Works A Treat - Impressive
I have had hand held beaters for so long now and would be lost without them. I've never owned a Kitchen Aid due to the expense but they were on special and although mine is not cream it is the same model shown but I got Empire Red. Wow, it is classy looking in the kitchen.
Now my cheap little beaters just had a dough and whipping attachments. This one has Dough Hooks, Turbo Beaters, Tine Pro Whisk which actually whips the cream and a Liquid blender rod. They all fit neatly into a storage bag that is in the box so I am not forever trying to...find attachments in my accessories drawer. The machine itself is quite lightweight and easy to grip, especially when I have to stand a short time while whipping egg whites to perfection. Whipping cream with the Tine Pro Whisk makes the job look so much easier. This hand beater has 9 speeds, the lowest being number 1. There is no guesswork on which speed for whatever you are doing because in the booklet is what each speed is used for. The speed setting indicator control will light up with the number that you are wanting. I am in awe of the perfection of this hand beater, it's quiet, sturdy and comfortable and definitely much quicker in beating, whipping than other brands I have used. Less time beating suits me fine.
Very quiet motor, even at high speeds. I'm now able to beat cream or icing for dessert in the kitchen while my guests sit at the dining table ten feet away without blocking off conversation. Thin beaters mean less gets stuck to the beaters and more stays in the bowl. Whisk is excellent for building height in cream and egg whites. The only thing that doesn't work is the liquid blending rod, I used it to mash strawberries and it was useless. Supplying instead a Bamix-style metal hand blender attachment would be better.
Kitchenaid is a great appliance
I am satisfied with this appliance. The performance of the hand mixer is terrific and capable of all the tasks I have used it for. I have made dough with the hook beaters and am able to quickly whip up meringue with the wisk. This appliance is a durable machine and I am happy with the variety of attachments.
Quality Hand Mixer
Taking hand mixers to the next level! I am very happy with this purchase. Effortless handling, quiet operation, sturdy quality. Motor easily manages all tasks suited to this type of appliance. Being able to stand on its end on the bench is a very practical feature. Easy to wipe clean & comes with a nifty band that keeps the cord compact. Attachments are solid enough for their intended tasks & easy to clean. The beaters without a centre rod is a great idea as thicker mixtures do not get stuck inside. Handy storage bag keeps attachments neat & tidy in the cupboard or drawer. Definitely worth paying a bit extra for.
Best hand mixer I got
had owned 3 hand mixers, and this is the best. Glad I purchased this at discounted amount. I used this to prepare frosting in few minutes, without any noise. I can whip meringue in just 5 minutes! Even used this to knead my bread dough...so glad I purchased this recently.
Questions & Answers
Would it be powerful enough to mix cream cheese?
Is the 85 watt motor enough? I see other mixers on the market that have 200+ watts sometimes 300, so the wattage on this one seems smaller in comparison, is that a bad thing?
How powerful is it?
85watt. https://kitchenaid.com.au/products/khm926-hand-mixer . I only use it on small amounts of cream/batter etc, I don't know if you'd need a more powerful one for larger things.
