I didn't follow through with a payment, but apparently when 'verifying that I have enough money to pay the payment' they put a hold on the funds anyway - so that money has gone out of my account when I didn't even use Klarna to pay for anything. Could take 24 hours or 7 days to refund me. I mean, this seems kinda illegal... Nightmare. Will never use them again.

Klarna......no, that's not a joke, that's the contact......she contacted me in her capacity as a complaint investigator. Her email suggests that I am the person they have approved a loan to, even though, at no time, do they show me any ID documents of mine which were used in their verification process. It is all their word against mine. It has taken weeks for [Name Removed] from Klarna (I just like saying it), to tell me she has a technical issue and cannot open my attachments. In order for her to progress her investigation, she would like me to resend them in PDF or JPEG, just as I did before. She then makes 3 points asking me;
1. Confirm the date I first noticed the activity I 'BELIEVE' to be fraudulent and whether any other accounts of mine, other than Klarna have been affected. (They have, but why would I trust them with even more personal information?)
2. She wants copies of documents from ID Care, my banks, police reports, etc. Can you believe that??
3. She wants me to prove that the false address, used by Klarna and which appears on my credit report, is not associated with me? How the Hell do you do that?
This is laughable. In my terse response, I told [Name Removed] from Klarna that the burden of proof is on them. Klarna needs to prove my association to the false address, and provide me with all documentation of mine which was used in order to verify the identity of the individual who was pretending to be me.
Has anyone else experienced nonsense like this with them? They're way beyond second rate. TOTALLY INCOMPETENT!!!!!

I HAVE NEVER HELD AN ACCOUNT WITH KLARNA!!! However, I have had several serious hacking/scamming incidents since earlier this year, perhaps due to a lost wallet at the end of the year. I have reported matters to my banks, Cyberscam, ID Care, the Police, Equifax, Australian Financial Complaints Authority, etc, etc.....The reason for this is that my credit report shows that my residential address was changed to one I do not recognise, and it notes a Loan Contract with Klarna. Currently, all bank accounts are frozen, driving licence blocked, etc, and Klarna will not remove the entries. They granted a loan associated with Airbnb, accepting only my name and DOB as supporting documentation!!! That's ridiculous. I have had to change all passwords, direct debits, and the matter is ongoing as I only discovered the report a week ago. It has been stressful, time consuming, and a massive wakeup call. I am an old aged pensioner, and deserve better than this. I will NEVER enter into a contract with Klarna. They continually ask me to open an account and provide more personal information in the form of other documents. THAT WILL NOT BE HAPPENING!!!!!

I have spent over 4 weeks on live chat asking them to fix the Agoda app that will not open. I have also reported it about 10 times on the link they have but nothing is ever done. The customer support told me to chat with Agoda, Agoda doesn't help anyone unless you already booked something with them, so thats useless. Its not my job to fix KLARNA APPS. YOUR NOT LOOKING AFTER YOUR CUSTOMERS!

kind of error on their end saying they couldn't find the original payment method that's was used for the purchase. I did a dispute where they wanted my to give evidence for something they already evidence for. They paused payments and now resume them. The payment was for $43. They got their $43 payment back from Walmart and they will now get another $43 when my payment plan is done. I will not be using them after they finish robbing me for the extra $43. This experience has left me feeling manipulated and frustrated. Klarna's tactics not only lack transparency but also seem to pressure customers into using their credit products unnecessarily. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously and lead to more ethical business practices in the future.

have no access to where it’s going etc. it’s been stuck in transit for 5 weeks and aus post won’t handle my query since I don’t have the address it’s going to. ASOS won’t respond to my complaints and klarna seems to think that asos has provided evidence which says my return was invalid?
I sent them loads of evidence including tracking code, screen shots of everything etc. and they STILL have not helped, I even escalated a direct email to klarna in which no one ever replied.
So now I’m stuck with payments required on a $318 purchase which I literally don’t have a single item from in my possession.
Klarna keep saying “how can we refund you without receiving a refund from ASOS”
PLEASE don’t expect klarna to live up to their customer guarantees or help in any way.
I have had to spend hours on the phone with my bank trying to complete a chargeback which I really shouldn’t have to do.

Then they need to update, so I can't even access the cards at the checkout. No worth it, there are much simpler loyalty card apps that opens instantly.
Follow-up · In response to further questions, I did not miss anything Klarna offered. Klarna took a loooong time to switch over to offline access each time. I am now using Card Store app which is simple, opens and works instantly with no need to access wifi for it to work.
Purchased a drone that was never received, proved to them it was never recieved am yet to get a refund. Terrible customer service when you call them. Apparently they needed my money more then I did

Will never use this service again. After missing a payment to having fees put on I rang to let them know I’m willing to put pay $299 in payment plan from hardship. The lady was rude, ignorant then told me I can’t do part payment for hardship but only paying the whole thing for hardship? What kind of hardship is this !?!?!?! Makes no sense
l have been with Kalana now for a long time and am never disappointed. A great way to purchase items abd payoff in instalments. l am able to budget and pay with the app easily and with transparency. No issues – I've never had a problem with klarna, I appreciate that they are more responsible with lending, not giving too much access like afterpay does .. have only had positive experiences since using them for about 1year now

Fraudulent credit checks completed. I contacted this company for assistance with a credit check that was completed under my name by them. I have never heard of this company and have never applied for a product with them. They would not assist at all and then hang up on my call.
Zero stars no remotely positive experience. Tried to use as a first time payment on Airbnb. 45 minutes later with the payment still in progress have opened up another screen to find the booking has been taken by another customer. Terrible & buggy. Back when dinosaurs walked the Earth, there was a thing called StorCard, which stored all your cards - anything at all. Easy to use, worked like a treat. Then it became Klarna and ever since then it has been crap. Taking you through multiple sign-in, putting ads up all the time, wrong card being selected, all whilst you are in line with people behind you. I hate it with a vengence. Avoid this app.
Klarna took over my previous Loyalty Card app, Stocard. Since then it has been pushing credit offers on me using very predatory behaviour. When I tried to work with Klarna they told me 2 separate times that they would take care of the dispute. Only for them in the end to tell me some merchants will sell items and close their business. But I’m still responsible for the item that I did not receive! And after…reading the reviews for Klarna I learned this is common. I imagine it’s a Swedish company and they set their platform up to steal from other countries like the US. DO NOT USE KLARNA!

MAJOR Problem. Klarna’s ONLY step to take action to resolve Klarna’s billing error. Klarna TOOK FUNDS from MY BANK ACCOUNT for their billing error. Their ONLY offer to resolve refunding me what is owed is for me to take a screenshot of my bank account transactions since their error. THIS IS VERY WRONG. My bank account is NONE OF KLARNA’s business. They took, they still owe. It is that simple.
Have list my goods in transit and you can't get anyone to help yet they keep in charging me. Terrible shops to choose from because mist stores use afterpay and not them. Dint sign up with at all. They add a late fee if you forget straight away. Terribly run company.
This app is absolutely crap. Stocard was simple and didn't demand additional personal data. Screw you klarna, give me my card details back without me having to provide more details of login, otherwise we'll see what Consumer Protection has to say.

Now I am going to lose money as I wait for my bank to determine if they can refund any portion of my money by Monday and it may be too late to order the materials my contractor needs. I am disgusted with this "Hold" that they place in a unilateral manner, and can sincerely say that this is a sleezy company to do business with. Stay with other services that are dependable such as PayPal. Klarna takes money out of the accounts of their customers and enjoys the interest they earn pending refund. This company Klarna sided, with a beauty business who kept nearly $500 for a course not described as advertised - As per Accc guidelines, I requested a refund - I sent all the evidence , I had not even started the course. I had only looked at the first 2% and knew that the course was not as described. and they still declined. Will never use klarna again!
