Kmart Anko 1.5L Blender

bottom of the blender and had obviously entered the electricals. Once again it was returned to KHub and replaced with a new one under warranty. A few weeks later exactly the same thing happened again. So not happy Jan! I won’t bother to return it because I know it will not last. Apart from the very obvious fact the electrical and motor housing are not sealed or waterproof, it actually blended quite well, however I would not buy it again! The fluid residue can be seen in the top left hand corner of the photo and is leaking from one of the holes.

This worked great until I found something leaching into the jug from the blade attachment – I would normally give this blender a really good rating because I found that it's performance was fantastic. The issue I had was that after using the blender to make a smoothie I put water in the jug and turned it on to clean the blender. spinning inside the jug, the water became a dark brown colour. I poured the water out and refilled the jug thinking that it was weird but if I continue to wash it with clean water it would come good. It just got worst and the longer the blender was in operation, the water eventually turned black. Unfortunately I couldn't locate the receipt so haven't turned it in for a refund. It's such a shame because other than that, the blender was great. I don't trust using the product anymore because there is no telling when and if it occurs until after it's too late. Something was definitely leaching into the water from where the blades rotate.

this was perfect for this usage. It even seems to blend the ice (although they sell a $49 version for ice crushing)

PROS: Small Lower power draw glass receptacle not plastic EASY TO CLEAN

CONS: The lid is very tight to remove Be careful when removing the jug after blending so as not to unscrew the base and cause leakage

Better than the bullet – Absolutely a great machine use it for smootheys just love it best thing ever got from Kmart . For $56 bucks compared to more expensive ones this does the job great . Show details

Mildly Disappointed – Not the best product, the fruit wouldn't get chopped up very finely, my smoothies were a bit chunky. I guess it's good enough for the price, although I wish it lasted a bit longer.  Show details

Terrible product – Just bought it today. The product is badly designed; difficult to seat in the motor and leaks. When I try and remove it, the bottom comes off and the contents leak all over the machine and counter. The threads to remove the bottom of the jug go in the same direction as the the threads to unlock the unit from the motor.....anything you blend is… Read more

I have wasted frozen fruit and yogurt today trying to get it to work. It is useless, buy a different one.

great blender! – This blender has been great. It is easy to disassemble and clean. Only has three settings, but does the job great. The manual says to not use with hot foods or liquids, but I haven't had any issues with it. Lately it has been mostly used to make purees or sauces and has worked like a charm. Show details

Perfect blender – Perfect blender, works well, blend any veggies into smoothies in minutes. Have to clean it right away. I like the build. It’s perfect to hold veggies, fruits and doesn’t move while blending. I can do some other work as well, close the lid and it will do its work. Show details

Worked fine, but really hard to use – I bought this blender about 3-4 months ago. But J use my portable blender more than this. Hard to clean, heavy to pick. Works well. Especially for Indian cooking works best to make spicy chutneys and blend veggies and spinach. Show details

Excellent – This blender is amazing, it blends everything from solid food to liquids, its been amazing in making food for my son and also making drinks like smoothies. Its a lot better then a stick blended. Show details
