Don't buy this model – Only used it properly ten times, then it was temperamental with the controls then stopped working altogether, waste of money. Kmart should recall this product, not fit for purpose.

Cheap and good for small quantities – bought this smallest (1.5 litre !?) size from KMart (?$49) to try for snacks - a friend bought a family-sized for $400 which she likes but we don't have the bench space bad - you can't do a big roast it maxes at 200C which won't do 500C pizza Napoli or such when you want 250C good - crisps up beautifully and fat drips into the double bowl below… Read more

for easy wipeout with a paper towel if feels healthy when you see all the fat that came out of the food if looks tasty when it crisps up beautifully it's easy and quick to heat up and seems to emit less smoke than a hot full-sized oven

last cooked - 2 lamb loin chops - on edge with fat edge up - meat from room temp meat ended up not pink in the middle, so I got the useful hint to cook it 200C from frozen, so by the time it's crispy outside, it's still pink in the middle - check at 4 mins, maybe turn a little, then another 4 mins it's crispy !

and yes - the convenience - just press the button to accept the default 200C 15minutes - then just check it every 4 minutes - just pull out the drawer, it stops automatically - turn the meat/toss the chips/whatever - then shove it back in, and it restarts automatically

the much shorter cooking time seems energy saving - the much smaller oven volume must be cheaper to heat and wipe clean with paper towels is easier than kneeling and reaching into a large greasy oven

so on cleaning alone I think it beats a full-sized oven for one-person meals - I haven't done frozen chips cos milady does those in the big oven on a tray and I ain't gonna ask for a change on that.

I haven't used it a lot so haven't had any breakdowns, but for the odd job I think it's great.

Fast and easy to clean – 100% satisfied with the food produced by this air fryer, fast accurate and easy to clean. Clear instructions even a kid can use it. I usually cook chicken ,fish and chips. No need of oil at all. Freshly fried chicken with no oil is my family's favorite. Show details

Rubbish product – I bought first one, just used 3 months, then it was not working, back to kmart, changed second one, been used twice, not working. I requested refund. Terrible experience with it. I am going to buy good brand air fryer. Show details

Excellent, a revelation to me – The smallest in the range, this is obviously a one person unit. Price? $39, $49, $50, $127.24... the Phillips ad is for a unit costing close to $600! What a comparison. There seems to be a reliability problem but some of the comments are not credible, considering the price. Show details

Perfect for 1 person – I bought this 8mnths ago and find it's perfect for the amount of chips just for me, I use it to heat frozen pies/sausage rolls etc as well as chicken tenders and fish fillets and also for frozen potato bakes It took me awhile to work out that it needs a long press on the power light to start it but since then, no probs, easy to clean and I expect… Read more

that with proper care it should last quite awhile, Cheap to buy at $49 and cheaper to to run than most others I love this little beast and use it several times a week,

Not chipper – I bought a brand new Kmart Anko 1.5 litre air fryer. I got perhaps 20 uses out of it over a couple of months. Then it stopped working altogether. I decided that I probably wouldnt get a refund, because it was now used and I didnt want a replacement, because it is obviously unreliable. So I'll head back out into shopper land and find a more… Read more

reliable and more expensive brand I guess. Kmart has some good gear which is very cost efficient. But it's fair to say that this is the disposable age and some of the items are just not made to last more than a few uses. We get what we pay for and it's luck of the draw as to whether designs are flawed or good value for money. This unit? It's rubbish. Literally.

DO NOT buy this unit – Bought one, it failed. Then the replacement failed. There is clearly either a design or manufacturing issue with this unit. Worked fine for a few operation cycles, then it just dies. Stay away. (KMart, you need to withdraw this item from sale) UPDATE: I bought the next larger unit of the same brand and it works fine (so far). My son has an identical unit. Same. So get the next one up or buy another brand. Show details

If it lasts 'til the end of the year I'll be surprised – Pro: Quiet and easy to operate. Cheap unit to try Air Frying. Simple to clean. Cons: A large unit for such a small food basket. 1.5 litre Basket too small for even one person imho. For example, impossible to cook chicken and chips in one go. Go for the $89 5.3 litre size and just cook the amount you need with plenty of space for the 'air' to circulate the food. Basket made from very thin metal. I don't expect it to last long. Show details

Impressive Fireworks – 2nd time I used it I heard some noises then sparks and smoke were visible. The fryer died. Very scary. Rang Kmart and spent hours getting through to the right disinterested person who arranged a credit. Show details

Bought this and made sure to use it according to instructions and it broke after two uses – The food produced when it worked was great, definitely happy with that outcome Of the food just dissapointed it broke. I had only had the chance to make chips and wedges in the hairdryer before it stopped working. I have put it down to the one I purchased being faulty as I have seen plenty of others have no issues. Good job there is a warranty… Read more

(if you buy this keep the recipt and box and the Lil instruction manual! But I do have to say this is definitely more suited to a single person as its quite a small one. If you have more than one person in your household and or children then I would suggest purchasing a larger one. I returned to the Kmart I purchased from in box with booklet and recipt and received a full refund to which I used to buy a bigger one.

Almost Perfect – I have had my Air Fryer since the middle of May and used it for a whole range of fresh things e.g. chips, fish, drumsticks, wingettes, prawns, damper and several frozen crumbed items from the supermarket. My only concern is the three small screws holding the handle on. I have tightened them three times already. Don’t be tempted to carry the whole… Read more

unit by the handle-it looks like you can! Even then the three little screws look a weak spot in the design.

Worked 6 times – Worked well for the first 6 times I used it, then completely died. I used it for reheating pies and sausage rolls mostly. I cooked chicken wings in it once. Returned it 10 days ago. Still waiting for my refund. Poor quality. Show details

Broken after 2 months – I have written a review april 2020 because i was satisfied ... now My updated review Size wise and price wise was good but after 2 months its broken already. I would recommend this for a single person . The good thing though is i brought it back to store and they gave me a store credit. Show details

Great for potato chips – I bought this specifically for chips but it will fry a variety of foods. At first when the chips had to be "turned" I had trouble turning the fryer on & off but this was not necessary - simply remove the pan (easy), shake it all around then reinsert. It automatically resumes frying from when it was taken out. The automatic settings take the… Read more

guess work out of calculating. I'm very impressed with my new fryer which is the cheapest on the market($49). It's also non-stick.
