Kmart Anko 1.5L Ice Crush Blender

Returned the day after purchase as it would not crush ice cubes, they just jumped around inside the glass bowl. Pulse function doesn't help the process. Not fit for purpose, especially considering this unit is advertised as such!
Purchased in at Kmart for $45.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! GENUINE SAFETY HAZARD!!! THE MOTOR BURNED OUT!!! I want to preface this by saying it is super annoying you can't leave a review on the page on both the Kmart and target pages unless you have bought the product online. Alright, this blender is advertised as an "ice crush blender" and it did its job... at first. I used it to blend smoothies, I love a thick consistency, however I don't think the blender was up for the job. I've had it for around 2 weeks now, and the past few days I've used it it's had this weird electronic burning smell and today it made this "clunking" noise and stopped working completely while making a smoothie. After this there was ash dust below where the blender base was on my kitchen bench (photos below). The ash was so potent that to clean it I went through multiple cloths as they came back dark. So it seems the product is a genuine safety hazard. The 4.6 stars on the kmart website lead me to believe that this product was fine however, I only realised today that on the target website it has 1 star reviews and it seems like it is a common issue for the motor to burn out. Anyways, don't get it, buy the Nutribullet although it's more expensive it's good value as it won't be a safety hazard and will be able to handle alot more than this cheap s*** blender. Hoping they give a refund.
Purchased in at Target Australia for $29.30.

DUD BLENDER!! – On the 16th October 2023 I bought a Kmart Anko 1.5L Ice Crush Blender for $45. On the 20th October I tried to use it for the first time. I added fruit, yoghurt and milk to make a smoothie. The machine refused to work!! I tried different power points, got hubby to take a look - but it just wouldn't start up. Now I have to take this large and heavy item all the way back to Kmart for a refund. I'll never buy another Anko blender again. The first Anko blender I had for some years recently had the knob come away in my hand, hence my second Anko. I can't recommend this blender.
