Kmart Anko Convection Heater with Timer

Loses its settings every day – Loses its settings (mode and temperature) every time it's switched off, and that's with the remote or the button on the unit, not the hardware switch or wall plug. The default auto mode it comes back on with is heat to 25°C which is way too hot. Makes it pretty much useless having to fiddle around pressing buttons every day. Would not recommend. Show details

Good value for money – Much more efficient than oil heater. It is perfect for a large bedroom, the room gets very warm in a short time. It does a decent job in an open space ( living/room+kitchen +corridor) but obviously not sufficient to feel that warm. I think with two of them in the open space it would be fine. Not a great heater – The model Kmart sells looks slightly different now. I returned the Kmart $29 convention heater and purchased this heater specifically because it stated noiseless operation. away from the unit. The fan is located on the narrow edge of the heater which would typically not be facing out into a room.

The $29 Kmart Anko heater was much more effective at heating the room, plus the fan is located in a better position and higher up. Although the fan on the $29 heater is not as quiet as this $59 heater, it actually helps to heat the room.

I will be returning this $59 heater and swapping back the $29 until i find a better one. I wish you could try these in store and not have to buy and return them!
