Not recommended It didn't work well on carpet. It's a chore just to empty it. It's needs to be emptied completely between uses so it will pick anything at all up. It kept getting so hot within the first few minutes of use that it was scary. It's definitely not worth the money. It's not a safe or effective product. Show details
It is terrible, doesn’t even pick up dust. Unless you clean out the filter every use, maybe it might work but that doesn’t work either. The canister is tiny, this is a bad product. Show details

Very disappointed. Used 3 times a week for just over a year and now the battery lasts less that 5 minutes. Prior to that it would just stop after about 5 minutes it woukd work again. I bought because I had a previous Anko Stick Vacuum that lasted nearly 4 years. Of course no recourse for this one as it's outside the warranty period. I told Kmart… Read more
that I expected to last more than 13 months but they just reminded me its outside the warranty period. BUYER BEWARE . ANKO products are produced cheaply for maximum profits and that is really all they care about.

It managed to live up to about 2-3 months and then it decided to just die on me. Battery life wasn't that big of any issue for me. Not that expensive but honestly not that worth it if it dies just like that. Show details

CHEAP AND NASTY! It works ok for the first few times but after about 2-3 months it's an absolute piece of junk. Battery dies in about 2 minutes, the head gets blocked up all the time and it just pushes dirt around on the floor without sucking it up. Save your money and DO NOT BUY! I tried to leave a review on the KMART website but it's not possible, I actually wonder whether all the 5-star reviews on their website are FAKE. Show details

Lightweight and easy to use. That's about the best of it. After a month the suction became very weak on carpet rendering it useless. When you put it on the higher settings the vacuum cleaner cuts out after 30 seconds for some reason. As others have noted it's tedious to clean requiring a complete disassemble. Show details

This was ok for about three months and then stopped sucking and started making a weird noise instead. Cleaning it all out, checking filters etc did nothing - I should have returned it but ended up dumping it. Anyway, average performance for a few months and then dead, so not worth the $155. Back to corded vacuums for me. Show details

I’ve been using the Kmart stick vacuum for a while now, and for the price, it’s actually pretty decent. It doesn’t pick up everything—especially on rugs or thicker carpets—but for quick daily clean-ups, it does the job well enough. It’s also really lightweight, which I love. Even my toddler has had a go at using it, which is both adorable and… Read more · 1

If you’re after something affordable for light cleaning and don’t expect perfection, this vacuum is definitely worth considering. Good for the price, easy to grab and go.
The hardest one to empty ever! why would they create something like that? you need to disassemble before you can empty it. not happy Show details

I use this vacuum only on wooden floorboards and for $150 the thing is useless!! Had it for 6 months and it’s only light stuff on the floor that it really should pick up with ease!! But you can hear the little harder bits going up the tube only to fall back down and out constantly going over the same area it picks bits up then drops bits out I… Read more
mean seriously it’s not a $500 vacuum cleaner I know but it’s doing the job I’d would expect from a $50 vacuum. ONKO doesn’t suck unfortunately!!

Need to return it – It works ok on flat surfaces but not strong enough to keep a piece of cat litter inside it unless on the strong setting. We need to return ours as once it gets to 60% battery it immediately drops to 0% and switches off and that’s on the low speed mode so it’s basically unusable to vacuum the whole house Show details

Avoid at all costs – Terrible, and overpriced. Even on the highest settings, I had to go over everything twice on carpets, seemed to go ok on tiles but isn't that strong Show details

Find out how Kmart Anko Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner P_43187140 compares to other Stick & Cordless Vacuum Cleaners
Know better, choose better.
Terrible – Doesn't suck anything up unless it's on full power which drains the battery extremely fast. Alot of stuff also gets stuck in the head of the vacuum so when you turn it off, it all comes spilling back out of it. Head is extremely loud on wooden floors. Please don't waste your money on this.

Stick vacuum not worth buying – Absolutely appalling quality. I was happy how easy was vacuuming on hard surfaces, but not so much on carpet. Quality of material and battery life are also bad. I had this vacuum only a month and found the small (joiner) part for connecting and locking head with other attachments simply shattered in a few pieces. Went to Kmart and exchanged for… Read more
new vacuum and month later again the same part broke. Only this time silver locking button broke when I connected the small crevice tool with brush. I have a regular Dyson vacuum for years and nothing ever broke. I bought this stick vacuum as an extra for a small clean up jobs and because it doesn’t use much storage space, but unfortunately it’s not worth the money. It really deserves zero rating if possible.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this may have… Read more

Entry level stick vacuum. You get what you pay – Got this vacuum because was in tight budget previously. Honestly , it’s an ok vacuum for flat surface. It is not good for carpet as the suction is not strong. The battery doesn’t last long even on normal mode. I would say 25 minutes max. Dother disadvantage is that charging takes a long time and you will probably have to clean the filter every use… Read more
or alternately. Overall i wont recommend this stick vacuum, UNLESS you’re broke and in need of a temporary ‘vacuum’.
OK for the light stuff – This cordless is really just OK for a quick vac of hard floors. I found it not great (pretty useless) on carpets. The other day it kept cutting off and upon searching the net discovered that this can be a problem for cordless vacs esp if the ;bag; is full. This was the case my end, so after cleaning it out and giving it a rest it worked ok. … Read more · 1
Wifey likes it as it is light and convenient to use on the tile floor and the head gets around objects very well. All up way cheaper than competitors, but only great for lighter use.
For the price it does the job – We bought this on the recommendations of others, it was cheap compared to other models, but found it works great for what we want, We vacuum for about 5 minutes to pick up bits and bobs, and battery drops about 30%. Suction is good, rotary suction head picks up well, it has varying levels of suction. It is quite quiet especially on lower levels of… Read more · 1
suction. If we do a full vacuum, ie. whole house, we use our old Electrolux mains powered vacuum, as the recharge on the Anko is rather slow. The quality is ok, about the same as the Electrolux stick vacuum we bought about 3 years ago and has now failed. The Anko is easy to use and easy to empty the waste with one click of a push lug. A relative has the Ryobi stick vacuum which I have used, and the Anko is far superior. My logic in purchasing is that if it only lasts 2 years? I could by another 4 Anko stick vacuums and still not spend what it costs to buy a Dyson and some other models. UPDATE... after owning for 6 months now we find that cleaning the small circular cloth prefilter? that sits beneath the paper filter is a bit of a hassle, it gets clogged up quite easily and I think Anko should provide spares for easy replacement rather than washing and drying it. Maybe they do but didn't come with our vacuum. I have actually simply cut a bunch of them out of filter cloth so it is no big deal to replace them once a week. UPDATE. Now after about 18 months of use we find the battery is wearing out, it only does about 5 mins from 100% and goes flat. Not sure if I can buy a new battery?
Promises a lot but barely delivers – I have recently purchased the new Anko stick vac EV6803-S259. What I liked: - How the item was packed. - How easily the whole things clips together. - Relatively easy to operate. - The control panel was ok to use. - Machine performed well on hard surfaces. What I did not like: - Abysmal battery performance - I barely got 11 minutes out of it. -… Read more
The advertising promises 55minutes, and I don't thinks that is possible in the real world. - There is a huge difference from the (claimed 55 minutes) to the (actual being about 11 minutes). - The machine noticeably slowed down when the battery was discharging below 50% - Very very slow charging. Not practical, not usable. - It is totally impractical to wait 5 hours for the battery to recharge. - Power head is too weak. - Power head performed poorly on carpeted areas. - There was no collapsible or adjustable main suction pipe. - The main suction pipe was too short. I was hunched over using it. - There was no second battery. - The battery was way too small. It needs to be at least 5x greater in A/h capacity.
Possible suggested improvements for the future: - The battery needs to be about 5x bigger. - Charger needs to be 5x faster. - Power head needs to be stronger. - The kit will need to contain more vacuum attachments, filters and other consumables. - The main vacuum pipe needs to be adjustable for ergonomic reasons. - There needs to be at least 2 batteries in the kit. - Warranty needs to be 5 years.
Unfortunately, I DON'T recommend this product, as It is barely usable, and not practical at all. Do not be tempted to buy it. Leave it on the self, walk past it and look at something else. It is not worth it.

Know its limitations and you'll have a great budget stick vacuum – I am very happy with my stick vacuum. For the price you pay, you get a great little vacuum. It's limitation is that it doesn't have a wide opening into the bin or the foot, so anything bigger than a 20c/50c piece will get stuck. I use my vacuum daily with three kids under 5 leaving food crumbs and dirt everywhere. I also have a medium hair cat and… Read more
my own hair is long. If the kids have food scraps larger than the above size, I crush it with my foot and it vacuums up just fine. Saves my back having to pick it all up.
The machine has an Auto setting that adjusts the suction strength based on what the floor type is and how much is being sucked through the machine. This is a great battery saver. You can also adjust the strength yourself on the touch screen. Obviously the full strength will make the battery die faster. I can get a whole days use out of it on Auto, bringing it out 3-4 times a day for mess clean up.
My house is all tiles, besides one short pile rug in the kids rooms. It actually does a very good job on the rug and brings up a fair amount of dust/dirt. But it is short pile, so I'm not sure how long it would last on medium pile. I think the motorised head would get stuck on shag rugs.
Everything comes apart easily for cleaning, which is great.
