Kmart Anko Full HD Wi-Fi Outdoor Camera

Worst CCTV camera ever – Does not work after only 4 months! It's karked it. Will not charge up no matter what I do. I demand a full refund K-Mart or I will kick up a fuss with my local consumer protection ACCC office.
Not worth even $40!! – Image quality is OK, it is quite oversensitive to any movement moving leaves on a windy day triggers it despite set to lowest PIR. Battery is absolute junk!! Lasts 4 days and then flat - I used a power bank plugged in and even that didn't improve duration! It's going back! Why do these corporations sell such rubbish??? Show details
95% of the time I am unable to even view the footage – With a strong receiver signal (98%) and fast internet speeds on both ends a large majority of the time I am unable to view the footage from the camera. The app is not user friendly. The movement detection usually starts the image capture once the subject is out of frame. But the fact that I can have the camera sitting next to the router and not be… Read more
able to “establish a secure connection” is the biggest reason I would highly recommend anybody considering the options to spend slightly more money and go for a different camera. When I am able to access the camera the footage is of sound quality. The night vision works well and the battery life is very good. Regardless if you cannot open the footage it proves to be a superfluous system.
Thank you for your feedback, Matt. This certainly isn't… Read more
Great camera & great value if you’re running 2ghz bandwidth – Camera motion is so sensitive it even picks up cars on road, so be careful when installing to check parameters. Daytime view crisp, nighttime ok, can be improved with motion sensor lights. So far I am impressed Doesn’t work on network now 5G has come in, check bandwidth before buying - has to be 2ghz, doesn’t connect with 5ghz. Show details
Thanks for your feedback :)
Great value – For the price its will worth it. I have hard wired Swann CCTV system around the house and the garage is too far to wire in another camera, so tried this for a solution. Was concerned about the Wi-Fi range as my mobile sits on one bar signal in the garage. I was pleasantly surprised with the camera showing 70-90 percent signal at all times. The… Read more
motion feature, two audio, recording to Sd card and remote access are all impressive. Going to purchase another to cover my boat outside for piece of mind and insurance.
Wouldn't recommend – The close up quality of the picture during the day is ok. But terrible at night. You can't see faces and only outlines and thats if it actually picks people up in the first place. 9 times out of 10 it never picked people up even after altering the setting. A complete waste of money and would not recommend. Show details
Clunky and lacking – I Find the daytime picture quality ok. Nighttime poor. The installation was complicated in comparison to similar priced brands. Lacks features. It's so bad I can only assume it's faulty. Show details
Anko outdoor camera advanced review – So far the cameras, three of them have been working well for four months. For basic monitoring they do a great job. For experienced users a computer could be used to view the steam with vlc player and possibly record to a computer however, the app is good enough. Show details
Good simple camera – Great camera, very sturdy and easy to set up. Records to internal micro SD card or to linked smart device. Can be accessed via computer and monitored by a software DVR application though instructions to do so are not included. Show details
Works well – Works well day or night. It can record continuously as well as motion. For the price it's very good, and the app is ok too. No cloud storage, just an SD card.
