This cooker is absolutely awesome for the price. Used at home as well as our caravan. More efficient than gas. We're able to run it off a 1500w inverter without any problems. Show details · 1
Doesnot work after one minute – I bought one last week, was working perfectly for couple of days and after that, everything I turned it on, it shows error. Says too hot when it's barely on for one minute.. Have always loved Kmart products but this has been a big big letdown..
Icons hard to see – Icons on display dont light up and difficult to see without a direct light on them. Feed back from kmart no help. Solved with touch up paint. Show 5 replies
Waste of money – Just stopped working. Was never consistent heat. Could not get a refund as I didn't keep the receipt. Kmart offered me $4 for return.

Like it – Do the symbols 8,9,10 in the manual light up when in use ? Mine dont and it makes it hard to set up without a direct light on them. Show details · 12
Learn to cook – I have been reviewing a few of the cheaper induction element and with a little work this could be the best..of the 2 anko induction element one was noisy and the other not so bad.. one took longer to turn off than the other.. I am happy with no presets as people should learn to cook. I'm amazed your checkers haven't seen the difference in temp… Read more · 1
between the temp setup and the wattage reading which gives a possibility of 20 temp settings not 10.. not all magnetic bases are safe as a new Chinese hexclad wok and another stainless steel pan set my smoke detector off within a minute..they are toast.. I bought it 2nd hand
Doesn't turn off properly – I just bought this in April after the older version broke. It cooks food but doesn't turn off properly. The old one had an off button that would shut down properly but if you press the off switch on the newer version it just goes into standby mode. Please bring back the old design! Show details

Great Buy – Well designed, logical controls, very quick to cook food. Am impressed what $55 can get you. Use it next to Weber BBQ to cook eggs, fried tomatoes, onions etc. as the Webber does not have a solid plate. Highly recommended! Show details · 1
Not working at all – Bought my anko induction cooker today model IC3742-SA and seems not working. Switch on the power button then the function key. Its not even heating up. Even pressing the function key & power regulating button noting comes up or produces any heat. I actually have two of this. Really struggling in here. Please help. Show details · 1
Great value for money. Works very well – The first one of these I bought had an issue with shutting off with cast iron cookware. This problem seems to have been corrected in later ones. The one I have now works really well and it is excellent value for money. A small niggle is the display stays on after it is off, unless you switch it off at the powerpoint. Show details · 1
Steaming hot garbage – Can't even go ten minutes on the lowest temperature without giving an error that its too hot, so heaven forfend if you want to actually cook on it! I'm kicking myself for not immediately returning it the first time it happened. Show details
Anko induction Cooker – These are all faulty. Just get your money back or get a credit. I will never get another one, this is my 2nd. DO NOT BUY THEM!!!!!!!

Absolute rubbish – It kept switching itself off every few seconds with the error message E5, which meant the surface was too hot. But it was barely on! I returned it after 1 day! Don’t waste your time with this cheapo. Show details

Works well to cook, but too noisy to entertain – Price and features are great, it does what it says on the box, however it's far too loud. Using a consumer grade db meter it registered 57 db standing and closer to 60 db sitting at a table. This is fine for a kitchen where you cook, turn off and serve food, but if you want to keep your food warm at the table while eating it's too noisy to use. I… Read more
was also hoping to use this camping but again, due to the noise it would be too disruptive for others around me eg: boiling water for coffee early in the morning. The beeps made when selecting temperature are also very loud without an indication how this can be turned off. Overall it does the job, but just keep in mind it's about as noisy as a range hood.

Has been great for about 2 years – Purchased about two years ago, has been great until the past month. Fan has become loud, nothing such as reposition unit onto "softer" surface has made it any quieter. Cooks well maintains temp all still functioning, but about to be replaced, too noisy, for 50 dollars it has been good. Show details

How can you go wrong – Bought this cooker over two years ago used every day still going strong Paid $79 back then and I'm going to buy another one for the mother in-law because she loves it Show details · 1
Lovely induction cooker – Heats quickly and easy to use. Much better quality than exspensive ones. I bought the Tefal express induction cooker and was absolutely a waste of money as it doesn’t keep temperature at a steady flow kept overheating and wasn’t able to cook foods at a even temperature. Anko induction cooker really is a great deal And the price is worth the buy. Show details
A little ripper especially for the price – We bought this some time ago to use mainly in our caravan. Works a treat. Sold the caravan and now have it sitting on the bench at home, beside the gas cookers. I use it now, in preference to the gas every time. Heats up very quickly, is easily moderated up or down to control cooking heat. Has a timer as well which is handy. We’ll certainly use it in the next caravan instead of gas. It’s very easy to clean using window cleaner and a paper towel. Show details
Terrible – Do Not Buy it. I bought one, worked once. Got a replacement, worked once. Apparently it's now discontinued... Kmart staff are lovely but this product is dodgy. I'm very disappointed. I live in a caravan and rely on an electric hotplate Show details
Bought to So far so good – after my electric 2 element benchtop stopped working on 1 element but im not complaining it purchased that for about $30 close to 10 yrs ago in kmart. I replaced it with 2 of the anko induction benchtop hotplates thinking well if there cheaper benchtop electric lasted that long ill upgrade to there induction benchtop they look great and i must… Read more
say im impressed on how well they work .just dont use cheap thin pots and pans they heat and burn food just get thicker base pots and pans and you will be amazed at how well they work i was and if they last as long as there cheaper benchtop thats a bonus
Great cooker – Replaced gas stove with 2 of these built in. They heat up very fast. Like the timer which will switch off when done. Heat is adjustable using watts or temperature, conducts through a paper towel so any spillage is absorbed and avoids scratching the glass. Has a minimum / max setting but never used this feature. No more burnt pots gas loves to do… Read more
lol. The older model we had blew the mains fuse / reset switch, which was surprising given that it has a internal fuse which did not blow while the unit was connected to live mains but not actually switched on due to a faulty H20R1353 on the heatsink. I suggest you do not leave connected to live mains when not in use.
Best cooking element love it in my caravan – Size, easy to use. Looks smart and extremely well priced. Purchased for use in my caravan and used twice a day . Many of my friends have purchased instead of using gas in their vans. Show details

Easy to use! – It gives heat up quick. Light and safe to move when cooking. Easy to clean off the mess. Except one thing is, it is not used for non stick saucepans. Show details
A great buy – At first I was quite skeptical with this product. But I like it straight away the moment I realised that it works better than the gas stove etc because it can heat up to 240deg and do a slow cook at 60 and 80degrees. This is hard to come by whenever Kmart has it, it got sold out very quickly. For less than $50 it is such an amazing product… Read more
although I have only usef it for a few months so I don't know how long this product will last.
The product is very portable and easy to clean. The temperature is displayed properly.
Can be noisy with the fan going on about 5mins even after I turn off the product, sometimes it produces high pitch noise too. The heat increment is 20deg. from 60 to 240, so I can't make it 90,110, 130 deg etc.
Wow For the Price Excellent – Bought this to try before looking at a bigger cooktop and is excellent, have used it for about 3 months and hardly use the gas now, only 2 of us at home and perfect size for us, will take on camping for sure Show details
Bought it for camping, now using it as main stove top – It is lightweight, easy to clean, remains cools when operating, cooks extremely fast compared to my old electric element cooktop, and efficient. At $49 from KMart is it a bargain. Some caveats: it heats up any container you put on it unexpectedly fast at the default setting. Thin-walled iron containers such as cake tins will warp and twist before… Read more
your very eyes. Oil and butter will burn as soon as you turn your back. So turn it down to the minimum setting as soon as you turn it on.
Your old aluminium-bottomed pots and pans will not work. Check the labels of any pots and pans you buy to make sure they are compatible with induction cook tops.
Low price good power – I bought KMART INDUCTION COOKER 2weeks ago. I use every day since I bought. I thought I paid $69 but after I chrcked receipt ,Price was $49. What a good price. Power is sooooo powerful. Boiling water time is sooo quicker than gas cooktop. I highly recommend!! Show details
Affordable & works well – I've been using this as the only hotplate for about a year. It works well, heats quickly and is easy to use (after you read the instructions) and easy to clean. So far I have had no issues and it is used almost daily. Show details
Great Portable Induction Cooktop – I bought the portable Kmart Induction Cooker about 6 months ago and so far it has been great. It has a flat, clean, surface which makes it very easy to clean. It has up to 2000w of power via 10 power levels, so 2000 then 1800, 1600 etc., down to 200. Once I get a dish up to heat, it comfortably simmers a dish on the 400 setting. There is a timer… Read more
which goes up to 3 hours. Boil over protection means that if your pot boils over, the unit will cut off power and sound a brief tone.
The only improvement I’d like to see on future models is more available steps in the power levels. For example, cooking a corned beef for 3 hours meant that 200 was not enough heat and 400 meant it boiled over, so 300 may have been just the ticket. Currently the power levels are in steps of 200. I had to loosen the lid on my corned beef which is not ideal given the higher steam and water depletion rate.
Overall, an easy 4 out of 5 stars and I highly recommend this induction cooker.
