Not satisfying – I purchased this camera one year ago and been using it everyday. Everything was fine except the connectivity to the camera was intermittent. AVOID - Not Worth The Hassle. Better Product Out There for The Same Price – System works well, captures daytime and night time movement. System fails daily. disrupts the cameras connection to the Smarter home app. It was recommended to take other smart products off the wifi to allow it to connect properly. Reducing my smart home and wifi capabilities shouldn't be a solution as the product should integrate seamlessly. What's the point of purchasing other Kogan smart home products if the solution is to not use them.

Battery runs out fairly quickly if it's in an active area. Will last 1 month at best in this scenario. Front door being used 4-6 times a day should last around 2 months best.

For $170 I'm sure there are better options out there.

Better than expected, but do not buy if paying over $89.99 – Had the cam for a few days as a door way camera - under eaves to supplement my Swann system. Very happy with it. Picture quality, build quality, wifi reception, night vision and ease of use. Honestly better than the Swann WiFi NVR + 4 camera system I purchased (waste of money).

Pro: - Excellent hardware quality - Easy to setup - Signal stayed strong to my WiFi setup which is a typical setup, not a special high end WiFi router. - No issues with pairing with phone app. - Upside down mountable. Image can be flipped via the app.

Con: - Included mounting screws are rubbish (soft steel), heads easily rounded and super tiny. - (Nit pick) Logo would be better sideways or concealable, because I mounted mine upside down. - No SD card included, it would be nice for a real out of if the box experience. - (Nit pick) USB C connector would be optimal.

- Dodgy/excessive price increase. Was $89.99 (was not on special on June 2020 when I purchased), tried to recommend to a friend and price was jacked up to $149.99 July 2020 when they tried to purchase.

The recent update and the 24 hour timeline barely visible – Agree with bsummers regarding the recent update. I have two of these cameras and found the time stamp on the timeline is barely visible. enlarge. It needs a larger font and a brighter colour like the vertical division line. Apart from these concerns, the cameras are pretty good value. These cameras are on 24 hrs a day in all weathers under the eaves. The batteries last at least one week and a half. On clip replay, the first second flashes so the image is not distinguishable and the vehicle is almost out of the picture. I have also raised that concern some time ago. Still having trouble linking to iCloud Drive.

A recent update to the Smarthome App has made these cameras TERRIBLE – I have several of these cameras, and thought they were great until a recent Smarthome app update. is in a high traffic area with many recordings that are checked regularly, I now have to scroll through hours each day trying to check recordings. Unless this format is changed, I wouldn't recommend buying these cameras.

Great product but NO compatibility with Google Home or Amazon Alexa – I bought 4 of these cameras to add to my wifi home security and whilst the are fairley good and reasonable priced, I found out the hard way that they are NOT compatible with Google Home or Amazon Alexa. on the Tuya App (called SMARTERHOME). This app merrily takes you through the motions even with instructions on how to link SMARTERHOME products to these major hubs and when you get to the end Nothing!! This is a very new product and when I purchased it (being one of the first) I had to wait a month for the item to become in stock. Also because it was a new item there were no reviews yet. Hence why I wrote this one. I believe I will not be the first or the last to fall into this trap and Kogan should put a warning on this product. Not compatible with AMAZON ALEXA or GOOGLE HOME. I edited this review as I have had the time now to use this product. I must say the images are very good and the announcements are very good on my phone when triggered. The camera takes a snapshot of the image and is triggered on my android phone (even when I am at work and out of the WI-FI zone using 4G). I have 128gb micro SD cards in them but have yet to figure out what use they are as the images are sent directly to my phone. You can record video and speak through the onboard speaker and hear from the onboard mic. Be aware though when you mount the cameras they can be susceptible to Tree/Bush movements when windy but you can adjust the motion detection. All in a reasonable product for the price and had they been compatible with the major hubs (very, very disappointed in that fact) I would have given 4 stars. Also very worth noting these cameras need to be under the eaves and not fully out in the open they are IP56 NOT IP66. Oh, and the night vision is good also. One downfall I have noticed so far is that I am only getting 1 week from the rechargeable batteries. My camera is mounted in a fairly high traffic area though.
