Hoped for the best - got so-so – Bought this vacuum cleaner for my son, when he moved into his home. I have bought Kogan products previously, and mostly found these to be OK or even excellent. In this case - not so. On paper it seemed to be appropriately specified. When using it - one needs to be tolerant of needing to go over the same surface a few times - then again it isn't a… Read more

$1,200 vacuum like a Dyson. After tolerating it for ~2 years, my son disposed of the cleaner, and bought a mid range Dyson.

I was conflicted when scoring 'value for money'; low cost but low performance was my criteria,

I do believe Kogan products are good value, however in this case I feel the pain of poor quality outlived the delight of a lower price.

Not great – It's a pretty crappy vacuum. Even at max suction it doesn't collect the lightest of crumbs and once it's turned off, a bunch of whatever did manage to get suctioned just falls back out. I wouldn't purchase it again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Show details

Beats the Dyson Stick at a fraction of the price – We clean houses & most of our customers have Dyson Stick Vacuums. V6-V15. Their floors are typically wood/tile in the living/bathroom/kitchen areas with carpet in the bedrooms. Dysons aren't cheap & they aren't that great. Dyson batteries never do an entire house in one charge, are slow to recharge & they are prone to blockage. One of our… Read more

customers bought this Kogan MX11. It was so good we bought one & use it at our home. A battery that does entire houses with a % charged indicator, tick. Great Suction, tick. Motorised Head, tick. (Wood/tile to carpet & back again is no problem). Noise, minimal. (Hardly silent, more muted) Led lights on the motorised head that show up the dust, tick. (Like this very much on wood & tile).

I also liked the press once to start & press again to stop. You don't need to to keep holding the trigger like Dysons need. (I suffer a bit from hand arthritis)

Great accessories. Extra battery. (Hardly use it. One's enough. But nice to know its there) Mop attachment with 2 sets of pads. (Wipe on Wipe off) Crevice tools. (Nose and dual brush) 3 Extra hepa filters. It comes with a wall mount charger but we separately bought an optional stand charger/accessory house for our garage for about $20.

Kogan price for stick and accessories excluding stand was $269 which is a fraction of the Dyson's price. V8 $800; V11 $999; V15 $1350. But at time of writing this review there was an end of year clearance price of $149 with slightly differrent accessories.

Only con, the dust cannister is a tad small but emptying is quick & no fuss easy. Build quality? A tad more plasticy than the Dyson but I've used mine for 6 months & nothing has broken or discoloured. Still using the original hepa filter with an occassional wash & air dry.

Awful, doesn't even work! – I had this for a couple of months when the rotating head stopped working. It wasn't blocked and the light came on but the brush wouldn't rotate and it kept showing as being blocked, which it wasn't. The rest of the machine was working fine and I only wanted a new head yet they sent me a whole new machine. After five months, the same thing happened… Read more

with the replacement. This time both the motorized head and the mini-motorized head have stopped rotating. Such a waste of time and money and now I have two vacuums that don't work and I can't clean my house. I'm reviewing it here because there is no way to leave a review on Kogan.

Awesome and convenient – The trigger on this thing is a single click one which allows it to stay on without holding the trigger down unlike its dyson counterpart. It isn't as stylish as the dyson mounting though. The "super-suck" mode also drains the battery fairly quickly. On medium modes though it is very efficient and a happy addition to our family home. It`s ok – After doing my research (Kogan Stick Vaccum Range PDF, gives you an overview over the products and the differences) this is the best product in terms of price ratio. Check the different offers/sales for this product. Using on hard floor and carpet perfect. Suction power is more than expected. Price unbeatable against everything else in this category. Filter system is not good! Show details
