TV did not last more than 2.5 years - don't bother – We purchased this TV in Feb 2019 and while it served its' purpose for just over 2 years, it just stopped working out of the blue. The warranty is only 12 months, but I think that when one purchases a TV they expect it to work for well over 5 to 10 years. Kogan offered to have a technician assess the TV at our cost, or a $20 credit to purchase a new TV. What a joke - I would NOT recommend a Kogan TV, period.

Amazing TV for the price!!! – Great colours, fast frame rate, could do with more HDMI ports and a better remote, however for the price an excellent choice. Would definitely buy again ahead of the competition. Show details

Kogan JU8100GA Makes a reasonable 4K monitor for CCTV Systems, with average television program playback – For the price this television is not all that bad as a 4K monitor. Television was dispatched from their Sydney warehouse on 8 April and arrived in Townsville on 14 April (6 days later) and that over the Easter long weekend! One was somewhat surprised given Kogan's pathetic delivery reputation and all. One purchased this KALED43JU8100GA… Read more

television specifically to use as a 4K monitor for the kitchen for the Swann security system, after it's predecessor died!

This KALED43JU8100GA is not a smart 4K TV and for the paltry $369.00 one paid plus the $85.99 shipping fee one did not expect nothing too spectacular!

The remote is functional (photo below), and unlike my Sony's one CAN record television shows onto USB to watch later.

The colour reproduction and clarity of the KALED43JU8100GA is fair given its price, though picture seems a lil' bright/glary.

This 4K model does not have the high dynamic range (HDR) so there is a noticeable difference watching television programs, though OK for its purpose. The viewing angle is relatively as tight as a nun's youknowhat, but this presents no real problems given this sets overall purpose.

This television has 4xHDMI ports, 2xUSB ports, with the standard audio inputs and headphone socket.

There is a control panel on the right side of this television (photo below) saving one having to bend over trying to locate the various volume and channel buttons underneath which is standard with so many other television brands. Good feature!

There is a program guide function and the remote is user friendly.

Amazingly, this cheap television handles a 1Tb External HDD full of music folders with a USB flash drive quicker and better than ones expensive Sony showpony's!! (see my reviews on here for SONY TVs).

The sound reproduction via its VERY VERY BASIC LOW QUALITY media player on this television is very poor with the volume going up and down up and down up and down continually when using the headphone socket to connect up to a Harman Kardon Studio 4, and Bose terrible.

In fairness, for normal headphone use listening to television its acceptable. Also noticed that this will not play many of the common music formats either, WAV or FLAC files. One is still waiting to hear back from Kogan if theres a firmware update!

Overall and in fairness this KALED43JU8100GA is a fairly good medium/low end market television and although it does not have all the 'bells and whistles' of more expensive named brands, it does the job.

It’s a basic but cheap TV – I’m not going to say this tv is garbage but it’s alright for the price. I know there is better TV on the market it gets the job done you do need a sound bar because the built in one sound tinny overall a alright tv. Show details

First TV came damaged, Kogan picked it up and sent me a new one – I got my TV shipped to my dad's address and it was really speedy, but maybe too fast as the item was damaged when I received it. So I had to pack it back in the box, take it back to my dad's so Kogan can pick it up later that week. The process for getting a new one was under 2 weeks but it was highly annoying. If you are using this TV for… Read more

gaming & casting I think it's a really good TV for the price. But when it comes to the TV side of things, It's a little letdown. The quality isn't the best, although... I still don't think I would rather a $3000 50 inch TV. I would rather purchase this TV again.

Died after 30 minutes - working again – I bought the KALED43MU8010SZB online on 17 September 2019 with a wall mount. Was very happy to receive both products on 20 September 2019. Unfortunately after 30 minutes of use it won't turn on anymore, only get red light. Tried their troubleshooting with no joy and have now sent a message to their support requesting return. I Will update as this plays out. Show details

Simple, but great – Having previously fallen for the 'smart tv' craze, when my smart tv died, I decided I had suffered enough of limited cavities, no updates and half of it not working. The answer, an Apple TV, separate review, and a Kogan 55" 4k TV. After a simple transaction, delivery was very quick, considering I live in a rural area. The TV unpacked, it showed… Read more

the main feature I had wanted. 4 HDMI ports. Why 4? One for the Apple TV, one for my PS4, one for my Nintendo Switch and of course one for Foxtel.

So now, with the Apple TV, I can access all the online streaming services, with a regularly updated system, all enjoyed in glorious 4K quality.

It has been a few months now and I am still amazed at the quality of the image. For less than a quarter of a smart tv, with already outdated software, I gained a TV with accessibility and that glorious picture.

Doesn't turn on – Straight from the box the tv only stays on for about 2 seconds. I've contacted Kogan only to be met with poor fixes that don't work. It's hard to write a review of the picture quality, as the tv has not lasted long enough to even scan channels Show details

Poor picture quality – Very disappointed in picture quality, lacking sharpness, fast movement on screen is blurry. Couldn't seem to find acceptable contrast and/or brightness. I have only had this TV for a day, spent hours trying to get a decent picture, went back to old TV. Would like to hear if anyone else has had similar concerns.

Worst TV ever – The kogan operating system is very slow with a 10 secs response from the remote to the tv, very easy to backlog with pressing heaps of buttons and end up 10 channels further than you want. The features struggle to even work such as recording which is mission impossible. The picture quality and sound is dreadful pretty sure it is not what it says it is. Not even 2 months old and i am already shopping for a replacement. Worst tv ever Show details

Great TV – Great TV with good quality picture and sound. Can always upgrade the sound if you want to create more of a home theatre experience. The remote does everything it's supposed to do. Excellent value for money. Show details
