Perfect – We’ve had the 58” series 8 tv since 2018, I honestly could not fault it. Between moving houses 5 times, our toddler pegging stuff at it, 1yr old constantly getting it filthy and tapping whatever he can against it, it’s done us perfectly. Quality is greater than expected still, considering it’s age. Show details

Happy with the purchase – Purchased mine in August last year and have not had any issues. Picture quality is better than expected. Only negative is the lack of installable apps but I have managed just fine. Show details

Poor tv picture quality – A short while ago i purchased the Kogan 70” Smart HDR 4K LED TV ( Series 8 LU8010) the picture quality is rubbish. I mainly watch sports i have a 4k compatible HDMI cable, the increased pixels are obvious and make the picture seem almost fuzzy. Overall very disappointed with this. Does anyone or ( KOGAN ) think its worth trying to get the… Read more

Suprisingly Good! – Bought last month after purchasing and returning a different 55"tv from a different company. Upon receiving the Kogan 55" tv I was more than satisfied after the experience I had just had. Fastforward 5 weeks on and I am still happy with the tv. Considering the price, you cant expect it to be as clear or fast as a high-end tv which you would pay… Read more

triple the price for. But for what it costs and how it performs, I cant complain. The remote to tv sensor is about half a second delayed, but you get used to it. The tv colour is slightly, only slightly dim. Again not a major issue. Sometimes it takes a minute to readjust itself and login to youtube/netflix. But like most electrical devices, delays can be expected and it doesnt happen often. The multiscreen works great! I like streaming from my phone to the T.V and it has worked perfectly since purchase. Sound is surprisingly good. If you need more, maybe purchasing a soundbar would be an option, but its fine the way it is for us. Was bought for the 2nd lounge mainly for the kids to watch netflix while dad watches his sports and it has been worth every cent. I would definitely recommend it.

Dead out of the Box – Had a supposedly 'Refurbished' 58" Smart TV delivered today. Took it out of the box, plugged it in and nothing. Doesn't turn on and all the Kogan help desk people could suggest was to turn it off and on again. Nothing else and no further response from the help desk. Looked at it closely and what I was shipped is a 12 month old (from the build… Read more

date) faulty TV. All they did was box up someone else's faulty warranty return unit and charge me for it.

There is no way this was checked, turned on or 'Refurbished' in any way. A complete ripoff.

Thanks for nothing.

Not what was advertised – Kogan advertise it was coming with Freeview which was good cause I have no tv reception in my room. I cannot get Freeview at all, with no way of finding it.. for a smart tv there is no browser so I can't even get it through that. So basically it's just a tv with Netflix and Facebook. The update that they provide which may of fixed this keeps failing. And there is no way to talk to support.. Show details

Terrible quality and faulty components – It has been almost one month since reporting to Kogan they had supplied me with a faulty TV and i still have no resolution. Also the picture is so bad, forget about watching anything unless it is a still image. Their website gave this product over 4 stars from users. When i challenged Kogan on authenticity of this feedback they refused to… Read more

Not perfect, but good enough and smarter – Have got this TV from Kogan as replacement, my previous Kogan Smart 4K KU 8000 was broken one month ago and diagnosed by specialists as non-repairable :-( What I have now.... 1. Operating system-Ok and all advertised applications do exist. Easy setup. 2. Remote control is responsive and convenient. I like YouTube and Netflix buttons. 3.No… Read more

Bluetooth, but Wireless connectivity is Ok, easy 5 minutes setup. 4. 3 HDMI + 2 usb functional ports, satisfied with digital audio output. 5. Picture is good enough (for such money, of course), brightness could be better 6. TV was advertised as having HDR.... but not sure. 7. I still have 1.5 years of extended warranty!

Great tv! Even better price! – This was my first major purchase from Kogan so wasn't overly sure what to expect. My TV was double boxed and packed really securely, so arrived in excellent condition. Easy to set up and connect to WiFi etc. The picture is absolutely stunning for something in this price range. Remote and TV system is very responsive and fast. Very impressed and will certainly be doing business with Kogan again. Show details

Excellent TV – This TV was simple to setup. Its default settings for sound and colour are great needing no adjustment. The picture quality is very good and the sound is excellent. The remote is very robust and the TV is very responsive to it. While 3 HDMI ports is minimal one of them is an ARC which could be useful. It is not as smart as my previous Kogan TV in… Read more

that apps cannot be added to the operating system so it lacks Stan and SBS for example. I particularly miss the lack of DLNA server

There is an extensive manual online but not the usual pdf which may be a problem when the model is superseded

Having said all that I am very pleased with the TV at an outstanding price.

Tricky buggers – Was so excited to get the TV up and running as I live in rural Vic and have super dodgy wifi. The fine print in the ad does say that FREEVIEW is accessed via mirroring from another device. Wish I hadve noticed that before I purchased. Other than that the TV works well on Netflix and Youtube, however I can only access 8 DTV channels. Overall, quite disappointing. (groan) Show details

Worst tv....EVER – My reason for purchasing a new tv was my Samsung 50” Smart TV was showing white circles evenly spaced apart covering the whole screen. They weren’t too bad but thought I’ll see what was available. I don’t normally believe they hype that some products and manufacturers try to spin. I saw this tv in a email from Kogan. When I saw the price,… Read more

under $500 I should’ve thought about it some more.

Ordered the tv from kogan.com on the 28th January 2019. I received a notification that it was shipped on the 30th January 2019.

I was provided with a tracking number which I clicked on and bookmarked it to access it easily again. There were no scans till the 31st January 2019 advising me it was on its way. Tracking hadn’t updated on the carriers website.

From them till now there were no other scans and I had no idea where my tv was and neither did Kogan. At the time of writing this review tracking is still showing my item with no other scans. Kogan proceeded to give me a list of tips to go through, several times.

My tv arrived today 4th February 2019, still with no updated scans. Even after my tv was delivered there were still no scans.

Kogan’s suggestion was that I contact the carrier and chase it up myself. Zero customer service. Kogan had no idea where my tv was.

This tv and the whole buying experience from Kogan was nothing short of disastrous.

The tv itself is nothing short of being a lemon. Yellow tinge to the picture, dreadful sound and all round very poor quality tv. The remote control barely worked and when it did it was a shocker. These issues arose within 6 hours of purchase.

Kogan advised me to go the online Help Centre. I’m now left with a lemon of a tv that isn’t worth sending back. It would cost more than what the tv was worth.

Everything to do with this transaction was a total fail. I’ve learnt my lesson and will NEVER buy from kogan again.

It’s sad that after so many failed reviews this product is continuing to be offered for sale.

Might be a good idea Kogan to review what you have for sale and address the issues your customers bring up.

Never again.

This is a bad TV with quite a few issues – (I have had this TV for less than a month now, delivered on 28/12/2018) First of all I will say the picture quality of this TV is very good for the price point, it certainly is better than my old Samsung TV, same can be said for the sound. I am sure if you compared it to a more expensive brand TV you would find flaw, but coming from and old… Read more

1080p TV it is better by far, especially if you give it a good quality 4K source. Also gaming on this TV is very good, very responsive compared to my old TV.

Having said that it was about a week before I started to notice the cracks appearing in this TV's quality.

- Intermittently when I play any kind of game, through my Xbox or Computer with HDR enabled a thin bright white line will appear along the bottom of the TV at first taking up half the screen, but the longer I play the longer the line gets. The only way to get rid of the line is too turn off HDR and then turn it back on.

- Issue number two, when playing any kind of video content over HDMI the screen will go black, there will still be sound, just no picture, the only way I have been able to get it back is to turn the TV source Free To Air TV and then back again. Also this problem is intermittent at the moment.

I have been in contact with Kogan regarding these faults and after a week or so of back and forth emails they have given me details of how to send the telly back for testing, but seeing as how these issues are intermittent and they give you a big disclaimer in the email stating that if they are unable to replicate the fault then I will be liable to pay for the testing and I assume courier fees to get it back, it doesn't seem like such a good idea for me to risk the return. So for now I will keep the TV and wait for it to get worse.

I put up this review so people can be informed of the potential issues buying a TV from Kogan. Not because I have anything against Kogan, I have bought many things from them and never had an issue.

* Update - They TV's tuner recently stopped working for a day I had no access to free to air TV, I reset the TV, I power cycled the TV and tuned the stations half a dozen times which did nothing, so I rang and arranged for the TV to go back for repair. The very next day, I tried tuning the TV again and it decided to start working again, so I am sending it off to be checked. It will have been two weeks by the time the repair agency has picked up my TV to check it, and then who knows how long it will take once they have it. So if you're thinking of buying a KOGAN TV maybe check other options before hand if you can afford to.

After having trouble settling the sale conditions all worked out fine – Smart TV, how satisfied are you with its operating system and apps, so far all is working up to my standard. The picture is brighter and more colorful, the reception is up to scratch. Value for what I paid I am totally happy. All I can say is do your comparative pricing and expect from Kogan's positive service if not contact them and it should be resolved in your favour. Delivery was better than I expected. don' t buy it – Poor picture and colour no matter what settings. Disinterested replies from kogan which did not address my queries.
