ombudsman regarding the filtering of reviews. Anyway, finally received the same response as the pressure washer (even though they know what the problem is) - they want you to ship it to them, pay the assessment fees and then hold you to ransom for the parts. STAY WELL AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE !!
Great hardware let down but a terrible user experience – I’ve got two of the kogan Addis smart TVs. Purchased between 2020 and 2021. Both have great picture quality and the sound is more than adequate. The features are great too. For goodness sakes give it a better processor and more Ram. typically from start up. I’ve resorted to having a smart power plug so I can hard restart it when it happens which is all the time. When it happens the TV is essentially a nice looking black screen frozen on whatever app will open and remote is useless.

for it to work. Kogan customer service asked me to update the software, which i did, but it still keeps doing that. Customer support doesn't have much idea on how to fix this issue and they keep suggesting random things to stall customers. Very disappointed with the TV because of these issues, otherwise a decent Tv for the price.

Buy the extended warranty, or better yet buy something better – All of the TV's external ports (HDMI, audio) have died in ~18-24 months from purchase, just beyond the warranty period. Kogan's (un)helpful advice is to update the firmware (which is fully updated) or pay $250 to get a technician out. So, be warned, you do get what you pay for in terms of longevity. Otherwise it's a TV with tinny and horrible sound but a great picture. So works well - or at least it used to work - with a soundbar/speakers. Show details

other such info along with 30 of my own software and tech knowledge and one of my sons who is a double deg software engineer and tech expert. None of us could get this tv to operate properly. Re sets and re sets both soft and hard failed to set the tv right. I got to the point with a frustratingly back and forth email banter with a 'tech' from kogan who knew less than your average person when it came to 'help'.. frankly I gave up as the best I ever have with it is sometimes it comes on and does not flicker between tuners or play up.
TV has NEVER worked properly. 1. turns itself off and on almost daily. Go to be be awoken at 3 am with tv having come on by itself (tried hiding the remote didnt work ) fiddled with stand by still didnt work..and still does this to this day! I don't have any live in ghosts that Im aware of and the cat could not get to the remote so ??? And yes it continues to do the same with the new remote! 2. had to buy new remote as first one shat itself with only one person *Me super light user..terrible design to get batteries in and out of too. 3. TV once turned on will go through all tuners before it then decides on one to stay on! 4. When the channels are changed from freeview to others (eg fetch /netflix stan etc) the most hell awful high pitched squeal happens for about 7 seconds as you change....ughhhh 5. will NOT connect to google or chromecast -period! 6. I have my whole home wired on super fast nbn and a good ubiquitis set up in each room I even had a another friend who works for one of the big telco's have a look and he was gobsmacked at this: The TV is 'connected ' to my wireless internet ..the internet is super fast..never had anything else in the house (heaps of other things ipads, laptops pcs and the list goes on..) and NONE of our other goods do this... the TV will not connect to any of the wireless and when you go to check settings it states " wireless internet not connected'' ...it drives me nuts so I gave up!!
Its been a lemon from the get go! Sadly this and the two camera have all been terrible I would not buy any more electrical items from Kogan ever and def would not recommend others if they want super reliability etc.
(NOTE: I also have two of the indoor home cameras, the little grey dome ones bought so I can check on the fur babies if I pop out etc and BOTH shat themselves within weeks... the tops of them get 'super super hot' to touch and one went within three months the other about 4 weeks later. NO not left in sunny hot place not sat on hot or near anything warm or hot..in fact both were in ordinary daylight corners of rooms but not in glare or sun rays etc really really dissapointed in them as well)
DO MUCH BETTER KOGAN !!!!! youre becoming a 'money' orientated business just like Harvey Norman and others..great to make good profits but not at the expense of nasty poorly working or built items..

it is not the antenna/reception because the same issue occurs if we watch a DVD (via HDMI connection) or play a game console. Second TV was sent to be repaired but we were told it was unrepairable. Kogan offered 3rd TV! But we requested for a full refund as we could not trust their faulty products anymore. So far, still waiting to hear back ...bad customer service as well. Never buy Kogan TV. The epg is annoying having to change channels as you scroll to see the currently playing show list,yes theres freeview however sometimes you just want a quick look or when not connected to internet. I couldn't be bothered listing all the bugs and remote function failures as tv has been discontinued,though have same issues as others have expressed. Contacted Kogan help because no one answered my question here, asking about android os updates in future and got responses that are an insult to ones intelligence,much like the generic rubbish you get here. fight the non existent customer service and inability to connect with an actual person at Kogan to try to resolve the issue and I am now left with what is basically a very expensive door stop. I am sure the standard canned response from Kogan will follow with days of waiting for contact and any productive resolution process to be put in place while I am inconvenienced. I cannot edit the power saving settings or perform a factory reset if the screen is black. We tried short pressing the main power button to prompt the menu but nothing. Your website talks about an Android firmware update to 8.0. The TV did not respond to any USB input. The screen is black and does not respond to any prompts, yet the power indicator is green.
I guess ill just wait for the stock standard "cut and paste" from the KOGAN rep that I have seen a numerous amount of times already.

Value for money – Easy set up. Surprisingly light. Very good quality for the price. But it’s no top shelf Panasonic . Quick delivery. Multiple range of inputs with 2 HDMI. I like 3 or 4. The smart Tv is ok. Could have more apps. But I don’t use there systems due to having a Telstra TV box. Over all, if your looking for a big 4K smart tv that’s cheap. You’ll be happy. Show details

kogan to send this back. They want videos of what’s wrong , then when I sent videos they sent me instructions which I couldn’t follow because either the tv didn’t have that setting or the remote didn’t have that button. I will never ever buy from kogan again, really regret not going into jb and spending an extra $200 and actually get service of something was to go wrong. We actually don’t use this tv anymore simply because of how frustrating it is to use , things always going wrong etc.

Very dissappointing purchase – I have had this smart tv for two days. Initially it seemed like the perfect TV. However, I tried every possible setting to get colour right but no go. Either washed out or overblown. Seems to have a limited colour range. Luckily I had a Netflix dongle as it isn't compatible without it. Really not bad for the money – I have the same issues as mentioned in other reviews - the tv will turn itself on through the night. I now just turn it off at the powerpoint when not in use. tv that has a few glitches, but lots of functionality. Love the recent update meant that a lot more free to air apps could be downloaded too. Sound and picture are good - have even had people comment on the quality! I purchased extra warranty thinking that a cheap tv I'd need it, but thus far really suits all my needs!
Decent TV but no HDMI ARC – Easy to setup and use with a nice screen but there is no HDMI ARC setting in the menus so even though my Kogan soundbar is plugged in correctly and set to receive HDMI I get no sound. Rubbish tv with the worst after sales I've ever experienced. Don't buy a Kogan TV!! – When we got the Tv it took quite a long time to set up. I was disappointed that the only way you could watch Netflix was to use screen mirroring, it doesn't even work using the built in chromecast. There is an app for it but it doesn't work. work. I tried Stan, it didn't work. I could Chromecast them but I bought a smart tv so that I wouldn't have to do that. I emailed customer service, it took a week for my first response, everytime I emailed them a reply it took at least 3 days for a response, they asked me to download some firmware to try to fix the issue. I tried this but it didn't work, after a month of emails they eventually organised a repair (of my brand new tv) I asked for a new replacement but they refused. The tv was picked up and taken to the repair company, who kept it for 3 weeks. They sent it back without the power cable. It took them another week to send the power cable, I spent ages setting it up again, and the ABC iView app still didn't work. I emailed customer service which took another week to reply and had the exact same response as last time. Download firmware, etc. After 3 weeks and countless requests for a refund so that I could buy a different tv that suited my needs and actually worked they requested I send it for repair again. I then got an email saying my return was being processed. This was 3 weeks ago. I got my tv returned to me again today, no refund. And yet again the power cable is not with the tv. Since I ordered the tv this process has taken 4 months. I still don't have a working tv. The repairers have had my tv longer than I have. I'm sure it will be at least 3 weeks until I have a resolution. I just want a refund so I can buy a decent tv. I will never be buying anything from Kogan again after the slow and painful customer service I have received. There is no phone number to phone and email replies take at least a week and are not helpful. Very disappointing for such a large company.
