Disappointing Product Longevity, Bad Quality, and Poor Customer Service – I am deeply frustrated with my TV. I bought it on September 2021, and it stopped working in May 2023. It is disappointing that a product I invested in has not met my expectations in terms of longevity. Unfortunately, this experience has led me to decide that this will be my last product from Kogan. The quality is very poor, and the customer service has been unhelpful since the warranty expired.

This one works!!! - REFURBISHED MODEL – This is the replacement I received after returning first one after it failed in the first 72 hours. On replacement I had the option of brand new or save a little bit and receive a refurbished model. The answer is refurbished as it has been tested and fixed locally before being sent out to consumer. The brand new tvs aren’t being made properly… Read more

overseas which I’m sure has been very frustrating for the Kogan brand.

I have not had an issue with this tv. Android System. I have no tv aerial so all my free to air is streamed via apps from the google play store (7;9;10 etc).. then all streaming services, YouTube, google search and browser. It’s all connected with a Bluetooth keyboard and Bluetooth headset.

So far, so good.... I will update at the 12 month mark.

My entertainment has increased 10 fold – This unit performs as advertised, the picture is outstanding, I connected my TV via Lan but the bluetooth works well with the remotes The features provide seamless selection via the many ports at the rear for hooking up your DVD or hard drives and the remote control has a full spread of choices to facilitate easy navigation to change settings or selecting your desired choice of source to view from. Show details

Good for the price – Works well and good quality picture. A bit slow turning on but that’s nit picking. Would have preferred centre stand as the legs are at each end of the t.v. so you have to have a long unit to stand it on. Show details

Kogan Series 9 XU9210 43" TV Reasonable picture quality for its price. No mount screws included (two different types) – This review is in two parts. First part relates to delivery, the second THE TELEVISON. ------------------ DELIVERY: Was supposed to be dispatched on 15 June 2020. Still not dispatched on Mon 22 June, even after being told by [name removed] that it was going to be dispatched from Brisbane on the 15th? Contacted [name removed] again on 22 June and… Read more

was told that due to "receipting issues" the TVs are not in Brisbane but are now in their Melbourne warehouse!

The Kogan Series 9 XU9210 43" television was finally dispatched from Melbourne on 23 june and arrived in and dispatched from Rocklea Brisbane on 25 June! Arrived in Townsville at the depot on Monday 29 June.

One finally received the Kogan Series 9 XU9210 43" Television today 02 July, 4 days after estimated delivery date, 4 days after it arrived 8.3km away at the depot! Apparently their agent up here only delivers for Allied Express a one day or couple of days a week! And Townsville is a major garrison City, so one wonders what other folk in regional areas must put up with! ------------------ Now for the purpose of one's review, THE Kogan Series 9 XU9210 43" TELEVISION.

As always, one is purely reviewing the product, and only THE PRODUCT without any bias for or against Kogan which one must declare is not at all happy with given one's recent experiences!

As was the case with the other Kogan television, it was well packaged in a double carton! Alot of thought has gone into the designing of these television's packaging and the padding within!

Thus far one cannot complain about the Kogan Series 9 XU9210 43" TV picture quality of this television, it's not bad at all! The Kogan Series 9 XU9210 43" TV has both Dolby vision and Dolby audio however the left side speaker does not want to work for some reason. The colour and contrast are well balanced, and the backlight and brightness work well in unison together delivering true black as one would expect. It has very good advanced control settings for colour etc. Kogan Series 9 XU9210 43" TV also has voice control.

Hopefully Kogan will incorporate GOOGLE SEARCH and GMAIL featured in other brand smart TVs into its next update, along with visuals of movie files in its media player menu. This Kogan Series 9 XU9210 43" TV with its Dolby Audio DOES play WAV files and FLAC files as well as the standard mp3s.

Kogan Series 9 XU9210 43" TVs remote control is adaquate however getting out of different areas such as settings and USB and Apps etc is a process that tears away at ones patience, as with my Sony's one only has to hit Source, or guide or settings and there you are, not having to hit a back button then guide button or settings button or whatever.

Kogan Series 9 XU9210 43" TV handles TWO (2) one terabyte movie hard drives pretty well via the USB Ports, which is a bonus for a cheap TV as one's two expensive Sony KD-85X8500G TVs (at 3 times the price) with all their brand name pomp and hype STRUGGLE with just ONE of same hard drives! See ones reviews of the expensive Sony's in here!

Kogan Series 9 XU9210 43" TV has the standard USB and HDMI and earphone connections though one would be a wee bit concerned if there ever was a need to attach the plastic feet.

Also worth noting is Kogan Series 9 XU9210 43" TV television did no come with the screws used for mounting! Bit of a pain in the youknowwhat considering you need TWO DIFFERENT screws!

This new bubby Kogan Series 9 XU9210 43" TV is going in the kitchen and being a smart TV can go online to watch Netflix and Foxtel as well as being used as a monitor for the CCTV, and the other lil (non smart) Kogan one got the other week is going upstairs solely for the CCTV system.

Other than the DELIVERY FIASCO and the TV speaker, everything else on the Kogan Series 9 XU9210 43" TV seems to work fine and is adaquate for the $$$ spent. So far so good (holding ones breath).

Update: Spoke too soon, have just added a video (below).

Can you believe this... Not only do Kogan NOT SUPPLY the mounting screws with their TVs (worth a few lousy cents) like REPUTABLE BRANDS, the top mounting screw holes on the Kogan Series 9 XU9210 43" TV are sunk in that far the standard screws cannot even get in far enough to grab hold of the thread!

One needs TWO different screws, two standard TV mounting screws for the bottom and two M6 x 35mm for the top (available at Bunnings) Item: SFA408 for phillips head top or Item: SCR028 for the cap screw type. Thought one would mention this because there is nothing about the mounting screws one needs in the instruction booklet.

One will continue to update this review in due course.

Kogan 50" LED 4K TV CRAP!!! – Update #2 I have to say Thangool Kogan came through with a new solution. and then update firmware, which I had already completed just by reading the troubleshoots. I can now tell you, that power cycle resets did not help. Restore to factory settings did not help. Updating firmware did not help; and in fact now, the TV wont actually turn on!!!!!

Numerous days and many hours lost trying to fix this shite excuse of a TV. And in fact, its still a problem because it now has to go to to the local TIP. Awesome for the environment, NOT!! Thanks Mr Kogan. You're the best. :((((((

The TV has great clarity and the sound is ok, BUT like many others, after watching it for a few minutes, the screen fades to black and then you can't get the picture back by pressing any buttons on the remote. Turning it off then on does'nt even rectify it. How the HELL are you supposed to watch the excellent clarity of the picture. I have had to hard reset the TV just so i can get into the settings function and disable any self timers and power functions, but to no avail. Kogan, you're on a winner with this one!

Bad TV, but good service – TV itself is extremely underpowered and resourced a small amount of additional RAM and CPU (to bring it inline with Android TV hardware recommendations) would have gone a long way. I'm sure it functions fine as a TV for broadcast TV (wouldnt know, never even used the antenna). Picture quality is about to be expected for the panel. CPU / software… Read more

limitations mean that you will likely be running this "4K" panel at 1080p but thats not unexpected for the price.

Sound quality is very bad, definately worth having a sound bar for this TV (although thats pretty par for the course with ~$500 TVs). ARC isnt particularly well supported by many apps e.g Plex (or this hardware?) so be prepared for manual tuning and some slight (~10ms sync variation)

Remote died within 2 years, this was extremely disapointing. However after discussion with Kogan was replaced free of charge (10/10 for service). The new model of remote actually seems to be more solidly built so hopefully it will last a reasonable amount of time.

Its good enough to be downgraded to second TV duties once it's replacement arrives. So make of that what you will.

Fantastic experience and value for money, far better than expected – The TV is simple enough to set up even for someone who has never used a Smart TV before, the operating system is well laid out, though the order of icons is not to my liking they are not a problem to use, I do not like the remote control it is too basic for my liking and makes the TV more like a archaic Windows Media Centre PC set up as a TV than… Read more

a Television with Smart Operating System etc, the TV itself is great, I know most Android TV's are using these remotes so it's not a real issue on the device, I think the people making the standard need to think TV rather than Android when making the design choices. the only real downside to this TV in my opinion is no clear indication that it is Foxtel App compatible, I have not been able to try it out due issues from Foxtel and totally unrelated to the TV itself. every other expectation is met with these TV's so much so we are thinking to replace all our TV's with one of these.

Audio on these are not as good as on the old TV we had, the speakers do seem cheap and tacky, this is the only disappointment but does not prevent the TV from being enjoyed, I assume this is due to people using surround sound units in addition to the TV's such as via BT etc,

Stay away from kogan smart tv – Cheap compared to other smart tv's on the market. Was tempted to buy one. As the saying goes you get what you pay for. The TV constantly running out of memory. Even if you install an app. Good luck if you can make it run properly. The remote is unreliable. Interface of the tv is clunky at best. And annoying most of the time. Worst customer service out there....

work on the tv, despite a change of batteries. Oh and it keeps the volume on even when the tv is off. Now the Netflix program keeps freezing every 15 minutes or so. How does Kogan expect anyone to use this TV? – This 65” TV has a great picture...seriously great, but it is let-down by an atrocious menu system, which is non-intuitive and when it comes to free-to-air TV viewing.....its the worst I’ve experienced.
