Hasn't skipped a beat! – I purchased this TV a few months ago to replace a 12 year old Plasma and I'm pleased to say that I am very happy with my purchase. The black is true and the colour and definition are crisp. I have had no problems with anything on this TV and would recommend it. Excellent value Show details

Good tv with some cons – Hi everyone, I brought this Tv few months ago and loved the screen. Its sharp and picture is amazing. Plenty of detail and dark blacks. How ever i encountered an issues with both and original and replacement unit. Tv kept turning on its own and remote randomly stopped responding. I had to unplug and restart TV almost evey 2 days to fix the issues. But Kogan customer service was great and made it easy to return the TV.  Show details

65” xu9250 4K – I am happy with screen resolution. Connects to my Pioneer receiver well. Extremely glitchy with remote control inputs (even with new batteries) and simple volume adjustments. Kicks me out of Netflix and other apps half the time. Frustrating. Voice control function stopped working after a month of use. Buy an LG or other well reviewed tv.  Show details

wanted a bigger screen than 55" – Going from purchasing a 55" curved screen to a 65" one. Just like the 55" unit there enough ports for general use. The screen is good for the price range but hasn't the contrast of the hi end of the market. The viewing of free to air Foxtel dvd and blue ray is adequate for the price. The only problem we had was the remote it only worked when used… Read more

directly in front of Kogan replaced it with no arguments and didn't want the faulty one back Would this unit for the price conscious but the size is on the big side like many for seniors to handel

What a pathetic version of a Smart TV – 1. Quality, The TV feels so flimsy. the screen is extremely cheap material 2. Smart questionable at the best, all this can do is access the internet, and do nothing else as you cannot down load apps or use any Smart features you would expect. 3. Picture quality, horrendous, cannot keep up with any sports or fast moving moves, colour is hard to… Read more

get right, with out of the box setup pathetic 4. Sound, Lip Sync is impossible to get right, and the set modes don't really change

Summary

Keep your money, and to top it all the TV is on a no change of mind policy must have been in the super small print, as this is the only reply the Kogan help desk keep on saying Never never buy a Kogan crap TV

Great TV for the price, nice having Android TV for up-to-date apps – This is my first Kogan TV, so I was a little hesitate but it was only $799 during the pre-sale (regularly $999) so I gave it a try, and I'm glad I did. First off, the delivery was excellent, with both Kogan and the driver communicating well in advance, and the driver arriving exactly when he said he would (to the minute!). The TV came well… Read more

protected, and unboxing was straight forward. I plugged it in, turned it on, and was greeted by a Google/AndroidTV setup interface that guided me through configuration. It even had an option to use my Android phone to sync my wifi settings and account details to make the setup even easier. The TV then scanned for local channels, and that was it.

The bezels on the top and sides are quite small (about 11mm from edge to the first pixel) with a slightly thicker bottom bezel. The power plug is on the right side, and the input jacks on the left side. The input jacks from top down are: S/PDIF, 3.5mm headphone, 3.5mm AV IN jack (for included cables with RCA connectors), 2 x USB 2.0 supporting up to 500mA, antenna F-Connector, HDMI 1 (ARC), HDMI 2 and 3, and an RJ45 LAN network jack. Not seen is the internal Bluetooth and WiFi antenna, which connected to my router using 2.4GHz using both IPv4 and IPv6.

The remote controller runs on 2 x AAA batteries (included), feels quite light, and the main buttons are a good size and feel solid when pushing them. There's dedicated buttons for Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, and Stan, as well as a button to activate the Google Assistant. The buttons further down for pause/play/rewind are a little small, but roughly the same size as I've seen on other company's remotes.

The screen is big (65") and bright with a 4000:1 contrast ratio, and is natively 4k. The speakers can put out a lot of sound, but obviously not as good as a front-facing soundbar.

Having the built-in Chromecast is nice, as it allows me to repurpose my standalone Chromecast to another TV. The AndroidTV interface is also a welcome addition as it means easy access to up-to-date apps from the Play Store for things like the TV station apps (9Now, 10Play, ABC iview, etc) for TV on demand.

The TV does take a while to turn on sometimes, going through what looks like an Android boot sequence, possibly after the TV has been turned off for a while and gone into a low power mode.

I may look at buying a basic 2.1 soundbar with subwoofer to give better sound for movie. The TV legs give about 8cm of clearance to the top of the bottom bezel to fit a soundbar.

The only minor downside is the physical TV itself only has a power button, with no controls for channel or volume. This isn't a huge problem, as you can use the Android TV app (from Google) on your mobile phone to do almost all TV controls.

Overall I'm very happy with this TV for the display and the AndroidTV interface, especially for the price.
