Good Value, Good Picture, Horrible Sound – I use this as a second TV for the kids. This was purchased as a replacement for a Full HD Sony Bravia that I had for years. Couldn't pass up at the sale price. Arrived very quickly. This was an older model without an app interface so I used plug in Chromecast. Wish I had waited. All up colour with Youtube is great even with normal Chromecast… Read more

(non-4k). Colour, depth, contrast is decent especially for the price. Foxtel SD was absolutley atrocious but then again Foxtel IQ2 HD is on my QLED 65" Samsung and looks like something from the '90's. Maybe it's time to upgrade to IQ4.

The only real gripe I have is with the absolutely horrible sound emanating from this TV. Good thing it's only for the kids. I bought a LG Bluetooth soundbar to make up for the horrible sound but that's a bit jerky especially with young children so I disconnected it and ran the raw sound from the TV. Horrible and muffled with no highs or lows.

Overall, decent TV worth the screen. Sound is horrible but for the price, hard to beat.

Faulty TV and little responsibility taken by Kogan – I purchased this TV for $850 a little over 2 years ago. Despite less than 20 hours operating time, there is a malfunction with the unit as the screen will black out periodically with a white static coming across the screen. Resetting the unit did not work and the format directions are not viable as the link provided is blocked by IT security. When… Read more

I enquired about refund or repair at manufacturer charge I was told the TV was out of warranty and I would have to pay for a repair, and I've since learned that no legible TV repair company will go anywhere near the Kogan's which says as much as you want to know about the quality of their product. Spend the extra and go a reliable unit, don't get sucked in by the 'Samsung Panel' advertising. So disappointed!

Genuinely surprised – Bought this as an emergency TV after my $9k LG one died so my expectations were low to say the least but this TV is great, has native 4k display, only 60hz but has HDR10 so yes you can use this with Xbox one X and PS4 pro, only downside is screen response time but for the price and what you're getting it's more than worth it. Show details

Can't beat the value for money. The worst remote I've ever had to use – Sums it up, really. For the cost the TV is hard to beat. It's not as fancy as TVs costing three times as much but compared to the old Panasonic, premium LCD panel I was replacing, that cost considerably more than three times as much, it's picture quality is still a quantum leap in improvement. But it has the most useless remote I have ever had to use for a device. Show details

Terrible picture quality and awful colours. It should be illegal to put a 4k UHD tag on these – Purchased to put in my bedroom but I'll probably give it away and get a different brand. The picture is unwatchable for me, the colours look funny and I find it annoying. Definitely won't be buying another Kogan tv. Show details

Dumbest Smart TV ever – To call this "smart" is a stretch. Can't install apps, no access to Google Play, limited preinstalled apps (Netflix and Youtube and Facebook basically), no browser. The panel has light bleed at the edges and poor blacks/dark colours. It says it's 4k, but honestly, the difference with 1080p and 4k is almost impossible to distinguish. Look, it was… Read more

relatively cheap, but these shortcomings are still annoying. I would not buy Kogan again. The Sonique smart tv I bought from JB Hifi years ago was much better, better value and I would not buy or recommend this Kogan product/series/model to anyone. Cheap is good, but there is a quality point that this slips beneath that makes it feel like junk and invites buyer's remorse.

4k tv I dont think so – Purchased this tv for my teenage son mostly to play ps4 on, we had already 2 sony 65" 200 hz tvs, 6 years old, one in family room one in theatre room these have awesome picture quality, these were both $1200 dumb tvs purchased a 4k smart tv so was expecting picture quality to be better, however picture quality is awful, have tried all different… Read more

settings and googled to see if there were better settings only to find many others complaining aswell, have submitted a request back in 2018 to kogan they couldnt offer anything because it works, could send it back at my cost but if no fault then would be charged to get it back again, the remote control is chunky, have to point it directly at one spot on tv to get it too work, when you turn it on it takes 30seconds to warm up and always starts in menu mode. Not impressed will decomision it to the back alfresco wall and purchase a brand name tv, wont make this mistake ever again.

Just zero customer service from Kogan-they simply avoid/delay you like a retro used-car lot salesman in a checked-suit – The odd thing was that ultimately I was probably 90% satisfied with the set compared to what I'd paid, in terms of value for money. But, there was a non-fatal but annoying defect with it. The set comes with 4 HDMI jacks, instead of the usual average 3, which was one key reason I chose it. So the Kogan boasted 4 HDMIs. One problem. Only 3 out of… Read more

4 HDMIs worked properly. With HDMI port #1, you get some kind of 1/3 size picture effect in centre of a blank screen. Kogan was contacted online (only way you can contact them, when you ring the telephone number on their site, it refers you the website..which is where you just got the phone number...you just got sent around in your first pointless circle, get the picture already?) Anyway, issue was carefully painstakingly explained , including that all AV devices worked fine on HDMIs 2-3-4- none worked on HDMI#1.First operator told me it was my settings. How can it be settings when 3 HDMIs work, and one does not? Each HDMI does not have its own settings control. Next guess was to tell me my device/s were defective. They had already been told all devices worked on remaining HDMIs..how can it be the device/s? Obviously, they had no idea and were guessing. Finally I was told to rebox tV, have it picked up, it would be checked, and if their tech could not find defect, I'd be charged for pickup and service call. I decided that versus the magnitude of the issue, which none of their technically clueless operators could do other than waste my time making obtuse illogical guesses at anyway , the trouble was not worth the solution and I gave up. Which I'm pretty sure was the whole idea at their end.

Great TV – Having had this tv for a few months now I can say it is perfect for what we wanted and needed as for the price it was very good compared to others, it has no Blootooth but we did not want that, ports are good, sound is a bit tinny from its own speakers but a sound bar sorted that out, very easy to set up and navigate through menues, all in all if you do not have a lot of money you cannot go wrong and you save in the long run. Show details

Fantastic Value & Great Quality For Price! – We purchased this TV as a second TV for our bedroom. Have to say I'm amazed at the quality for the price! It's now connected to Foxtel and the picture quality is even better now! I'm presuming it's because of the high quality cabling from the device to TV. The 4K vision is spectacular! With a bit of tweaking, perfect! – I honestly didn't know what to expect, so many mixed reviews but I'm definitely happy with it. It is not the main tv for a family but gets a couple of hours use each day. Upon unboxing, I did have trouble with the feet. manufacturing flaws. I ended up taking them off because it suits my setup better anyway.

Picture wise initially was a bit washed out so I played around in the settings. Backlight down from 8 to 3, colour temp warm and picture mode mild seemed to give me a really nice picture which is definitely excellent for this price point. This model is sold with an LG panel which made me a little more comfortable with the risk involved. Oh I didn't even try the TV speakers, I always use speakers or a sound bar as I play music as much as watching TV.

I had already bought a Nvidia shield Android TV unit which is awesome and is why I didn't even consider a smart TV. Apparently kogan ones are slow and outdated so it worked out cheaper and better to do it this way.

Would purchase again.

No Regrets – Purchased the TV about 6 months back and I’ve had no problems. Sound quality isn’t great on low but I found turning it up does help. Picture is clear and there’s plenty of HDMI slots at the back (we have 3 consoles and a fetch box connected) as well as 2 USB ports for hard drives. My parents bought the hisense equivalent and yes it is better quality but it’s also about $1500 more - Show details

So far so good – Very easy to set up, the picture is probably about right for the price, the sound is good. The only thing that’s taking time to get use to is the ‘tv guide’ view of all channels. Good TV at a great price – Unit came with multiple HDMI and input ports. The 4k quality is not the best in the market however for around $400 is is definitely worth the price. For watching movies and playing games (xbox one and PS4) it works fine. Just don't expect it to run Xbox x games in full 4k, it only streams movies in 4k not games. It works fine with no complaints.… Read more

Also the screen size detection has issue with the PS4 and you will manually need to change that in PS4 settings. For a cheap tv that can play games in HD that has decent enough movie quality I recommend.

Great Value For Money – Clear screen 4k verified. Competitive price. If you don't update the apps and firmware, your tv may crash. Overall great value for money. It is easy to carry and is light in weight. I would have liked big clear channel numbers on the screen so my elderly mum knows what channel is currently on. Not so good – DELIVERY Delivery was an issue. Each item (TV and Wall Mount Bracket) was dispatched by different couriers, but was advised of that only after confirmation of the order. number was provided for the Wall Mount bracket, and because of that I needed to make 2 trips to Tullamarine (unable to redirect it without the correct tracking number). This in addition to the $83 delivery fee to Tullamarine.

PICTURE

From the website:

> A 4K television is the only way to truly experience films the way their makers designed them to be seen; reproducing all the subtle detail and texture of the original image with an intense depth that draws you into the picture. Colours reach their full potential, with every blend and tonal shift appearing bright and brilliant on the screen.

This description is downright untrue. Contrast is extremely poor even after careful adjustments. I since learned we don't even have 4K Free To Air transmission as yet.

SOUND

Horrible to even hear it, hard to understand. The bass and treble adjustments do nothing.

This has to go back.

Currently the website contains this statement:

> We are unable to accept this product for return under the terms of our Returns Policy for ‘change of mind’ purposes.

We can only wonder what the reason is for that.
