I resold this after a few weeks - do not recommend – I purchased this heater over all others on the market for two reasons. Firstly because of the look - it's beautiful and stylish, and secondly because of the option to connect from my phone to turn it on and off and adjust the settings remotely. Unfortunately, there were problems from the start and they could not be overlooked. When it arrived, it… Read more

was bigger than I expected (my fault, measurements are listed) however it was a sleek in design as I expected and I was very happy with the cosmetic appearance. However, I could not connect to the smarterhome app properly, and wasted so much time sitting on the floor in front of my wi-fi router and the heater, trying to connect with my phone. I eventually gave up and just manually turned on the heater. I was not happy with the outcome - the heat essentially come out of the top of the heater, so even sitting on the floor in front of it, meant I couldn't feel any direct heat or instant warmth. I left it on for several hours and did not feel much difference in the room. Certainly nothing like a portable fan heater would do. I set the temp higher and felt no change. I do not believe this heater has the capacity to reach the temperatures it claims to. Another issue I had was the glass panel itself, as this was the first panel heater I've had. Does the actual front panel get hot, given the 'hot air' is coming out of the top where it's vented? There is no signage on the heater to say warning, do not touch the glass panel. So I sat there feeling very foolish and unsure if I could touch the panel or not. This is significant for a few reasons... one being kids and pets. This heater would be extremely dangerous if the front panel was hot, as it does not 'look like' a heater. And it's really large and shiny, a mirror-like glass finish, which would attract children and pets. Secondly, to move it, which was my conundrum. I wanted to move it, but had no idea if I'd burn myself touching it or not. There needs to be some signage on the panel itself that is clear. I had another go at the Smarterhome technology and eventually managed to connect it to the app on my phone. However once I moved the panel to my bedroom (which is where I wanted it) it would no longer connect. Apparently it needs to be within range of my Wi-Fi, and was no in range being in the bedroom when the wi-fi router was in the lounge room (it's a small 2 bedroom unit). This is not practical or functional to me. The returns process with Kogan is difficult, and it was easier for me to resell myself. This heater is very attractive, but not very effective in my experience.

Good for small spaces – I tried heating a large space that is 4m x 9 m with a cathedral ceiling of about 3 m (yes, I was overly optimistic!). After 4 hours and about 4 KWh (about 80c worth) the temperature had increased from 15 deg to 18. Hmm... I've moved the heater into a smaller room and we'll see how it goes. It's handy being able to to turn it on remotely from my smart phone. Show details

Works like most panel heaters, just with smarts – Purchased it at a discounted rate, more than half the RRP which is nice. Panel heaters have their limitations and I was surprised that it managed to "warm" a bedroom within a reasonable time. I say "warm" in quotes as often people assume heaters should make rooms hot - in the case with panel heaters, they take the chill out of the air, no more. … Read more

I purposely purchased it for the Google Assistant features, which were not mentioned in the manual. BTW, no manual in the box, just a link to a PDF. After contacting customer support, I was told that no such thing existed - even though it was advertised on the website. Clearly, the staff member didn't know the product. I had to escalate the issue and eventually was supplied a second manual that explained how to activate Google Assistant/Alexa compatibility.

It looks nice and the "smart" features are, well, smart. Being able to have the heater automatically turn on at certain temperatures, certain times of the day, with voice commands etc is great. I feel the negative reviews on this product are from people unfamiliar with passive heating as it is capable of making an old federation-style master bedroom comfortable in 3-degree weather.

Looks nice but doesn't work well – +The good Looks nice Control via wifi Wall mountable -The bad Doesn't heat to set temperature Doesn't heat a double room past 25°c even though you can set it at 35°c Cheaply made Spend a little more money and get a quality heater. I didn't return it mainly because the returns process was so difficult.  Show details
