2022 and Kogan are still selling a heater that doesn’t heat - ACCC would be interested in this – I purchased the heater online. The 2hr delay start button stays lite up no matter what I do, although the heater does seem to produce a small amount of heat. I’ve had it for several days and the hottest it gets to is so mild I can touch the coils. My hair dryer on the cool setting is warmer than this heater. Given this has been a known issue for… Read more

several years from the other reviews and the product hasn’t been taken off the market the issue goes beyond a refund, it needs to be reported under consumer laws to the ACCC.

Useless as a heater, works as a doorstop – This already is the 2nd heater sent out, and the exact same problem. I looked online and a whole of of customers have had the exact same issue as well. This product has a physical design fault. Unless they change the physical design (moving the temperature sensor) ALL of these heaters won’t work correctly. Also of note, some people in this… Read more

site have mentioned that Kogan had a great customer service team. I have found them unhelpful, for example with this purchase I am yet to receive a refund despite sending around 8 emails, (1 email explains the problem and asks for refund, a few days later they respond asking did I read instructions correctly - I try again anyway then I immediately respond ‘still doesn’t work I want a refund’ (I googled and found this review page at this point), they respond it must be faulty dispose of item and we will replace, so I dispose and they send another email to return the item, I explain it’s been disposed, more back and forth in emails, eventually another faulty is sent out.. and repeat process). I’ve mentioned this website and the known fault, and requested they don’t sell a fault product, they don’t comment on that. I assume they make the refund procedure so difficult so people just give up (hence they made a sale)

Not a happy customer.

Don’t buy waste of money!! – Wish I read the below reviews before purchasing I could copy and paste what my issues are. A heater that didn’t heat at all completely useless. Just turns on and off with a loud clunk. I’ve just started the returns process after having the heater less than 12 hours avoid at all costs!!  Show details

35 degrees and automatically Turns off – Received the heater today. It doesn't work, when it reaches 35 degrees (the maximum the app allows) it automatically turns off. This heater is absolutely useless. I don't know how they sell a product like this. Show details

Terrible product – Wish I had read these reviews before purchasing, why they are still selling this product I don't know. Same deal as everyone else, I have mine set to 35 degrees (the highest setting), but I'm sitting in 15 degree room and it keeps shutting itself off. It will never heat any room as the thermostat is reading the coil temperature. It's absolute… Read more

junk to be honest, Kogan should not be selling this product without fixing the design.

I had purchased this to heat the baby room, thankfully the baby isn't here yet as the little one would be freezing.

Hopefully the refund process is easy as I have lodge a request already.

Noisey and unusable – Clunks and clicks all night and is so loud it wakes my son. I’ve since read reviews on Kogan and it’s not an in common complaint. Disappointing for $120. Had high hopes being able to control remotely and set the timer for the cooler hours.  Show details

Noisy and does not heat room at all – The heater is noisy. Constantly loud clicking sound every 10-15 mins. Does not heat up. Does not heat the room. I purchased a $25 second hand delonghi one and it now works a treat. Hoping dick Smith /Kogan refunds me for this awful device. Very disappointed Show details

So disappointed! – My husband brought the so called “smart heater” when sydney just started to enter winter. I was hoping to use this in our little ones nursery room at night but this is completely useless. It makes the loudest ever clicking noise when it’s on and barely produces any heat for cold nights, because of the noise it makes we can’t leave it in the… Read more

nursery room and it cannot he used in other rooms as it doesn’t heat properly. The cheap woolies one I brought from 10 yrs ago works better than this! What a waste of money...

Heater Doesn't Heat – From the very day I received the heater, it has never been able to heat up at all. I thought I was doing something wrong but from the reviews I have just read, there must be some manufacturing default with the machine. The heater keeps making those clicking noises and will produce absolutely no heat. Show details

Heater does not work! & Kogan after service is terrible – This heater does not work, I wish I had a review like this before I brought the damn thing. Like everyone else on this forum this heater is flawed from the design. When I asked for a refund, Kogan did not even blink before approving one. However, the process in getting the refund has been painful and still in progress. I paid $120 and $19 for… Read more

unused 3 yr warranty. They only refunded me $99.99, I am still in the process of trying to recover $39. Response from the Kogan team have been slow and painful, there is no one to call. Everything is through emails. This is a Warning! think twice before buying from them, the minimal savings is not worth the hassle. Shop at Amazon instead!

Where's the heat – Bought 2 of these. One for each bedroom. These heaters don't heat up much at all. It's like the thermostat is against the heating coils and it thinks it's at a high temp when it's not. I have a "dumb" oil heater with the same wattage and that pumps out the heat. This is constantly tripping over itself ,Turning on and off at such a low temperature.… Read more

I can't heat either of the rooms at all. One of the heaters also has the clicking problem. I think the thermal expansion is right around the level the thermostat turns the heating off, so it constantly has that clicking noise as it turns on and off. Stay away from this heater. Super disappointed as the smart function is pretty good. Product has a major design fault with the lack of heat. Needs a redesign of thermostat location.

Hopeless oil heater – Oil heater doesn't work effectively to warm a bedroom. WiFi and app controls work fine. Heater thermostat says 35degs, actual room is 17 degrees. I let kogan know and they sent a replacement unit. It had the same problem. I believe there is a design flaw in this product. The oil heater also makes loud noises at random intervals. Show details

This can't be right – I pre-ordered this heater wanting something that could turn on/off remotely and on a schedule. This heater does do that - but it's just about all it can do. It warms itself up - but not the room. I literally have the heater situated within 30cm of my desk, has been on it's highest heat setting (supposedly 35 degrees) for over 5 hours and I am… Read more

still feeling extremely cold. I find myself constantly having to check on it to make sure it's on because the warmth it produces can't be felt from 30cm away.

If you leave the room and walk back in, depending on whether it's heating up or not, you MIGHT find a difference in temperature in the room, but for the most part this heater is incapable of heating any size room, let alone an average sized bedroom.

There are some strange noises that occur - which I always assumed were associated with oil heaters but sometimes they can be quite loud.

Teaches me for pre-ordering any Kogan branded product.

Poor quality Heater – We have it in our bedroom which is about 4mx4m and this heater does nothing. It is about 1 degree warmer in the bedroom than outside during the day with the heater at maximum power. I am working from home next it and wouldn't be able to tell it was on except for the loud clicking noise it decides to make. Other bonus features include a… Read more

thermostat that tells me it is 35 degrees in the bedroom while my thermometer says its 17. I even dragged my kogan portable aircon in here to see what it had to say and it also tells me it is 17. My only assumption is that the reported current temperature is actually the temperature of the heater and not the room, because I have always wanted a "smart" heater that adjusts on the temperature of itself, not the room.

I have tried contacting support, but have so far only received a response with further questions I already had the answers to in the initial ticket.

I know, I know... its my fault for buying kogan.
