Solid little camera – Works well - limited resolution but good software - plays nice with software like iSpy - would recommend esp at that pricepoint. People that have issues with this camera do not understand the principals of basic networking. Set a static IP on these babies and they are rock solid.

Great, Quick And Easy, But If You Don't Understand Networking Then You May Need To Lean Some Basics – I purchased 6 of these about 6 months ago and have not had any problems with any of them. No spontaneous reboots or other such issues. Perhaps I have been lucky, but they have been great.

Useful, but can be difficult to set up – Useful, but can be difficult to set up. Lots of mucking around unless you know what you are doing and have some patience. After that it's smooth running and works well.

Lack of instructions and software – The software they sent does not match the manual included and there no help from their support centre. Recommend you stay away from this product and source from a local supplier instead. at least that way you can bring it back to the shop when they give you no support

I couldn't for the likes of me figure out how to connect to it over the internet even though they said it's already set up for it. Furthermore, you have to use Internet Explorer to connect to it over your LAN. It doesn't like Mozilla or Chrome.

For what it's worth, it did the trick. I now have an idea of how an IP security camera could work without spending a small fortune on one to find out. Troublesome, convoluted set up with a useless Set Up & User Manual – Product is sold without manual. Had to write in to Kogan for it. User & set up manuals are quite useless. Even for fairly IT literate people, trying to figure out what the manual is trying to explain or setting it up without the useless manual takes hours and hours. the house. setting up the wifi is easy if you connect it to the router via the cable first and read the manual and use the quick set up wizard that comes on the cd with the camera. My son even logs in via his Ipad when he wants to see who is at the front door. All in all a very good camera. (The seller is keyzone)

installation manual, then yes they would find it difficult to set up. This would be the same if you try and set up a router or ATA, for example, with no networking experience and no manual.

The actual camera is good for the money, and the included features are great (web access, recording, motion detection, panning, preset positions, built in access from the internet, great night infra red capability (full room is illuminated) etc). A zoom feature would be a good addition, although you can do this digitally to an extent. All in all, for the money, its pretty good in my opinion.

So I give this 5 stars to compensate for the fact it is in fact easy to set up providing you find and follow the instructions (it even has an IP address finder which works if your device is on a different segment - great for non-networking folk. In my opinion the device is also easy to set up without the manual if necessary, but of course you would have to have good networking skills to be able to initially access the device to do the setup. Great price. Night vision, web functionality People complain about the camera because they didnt read the manual!

made aware of the IP Camera Quick Start Guide which follows the logical steps including the need to detect the camera's IP address, detect the IP address of your own network, change the camera settings and set up wifi on the camera settings.

The Guide is a short 5 page document and I think Kogan could do themselves a favour by printing it and including it in the box. I'm sure it would save a lot of hassle dealing with customer queries and potential DOA claims. As to the camera itself, I like the user interface including the ability to multi-view more than one camera. I actually added my other camera in multiview even though it is another brand using different firmware. Another feature this camera has is 2 way audio.

When connected via Internet Explorer you get the full functionality of the user interface. You can hear any audio from the camera and you can also speak because the camera has a built in loudspeaker (that will make anyone who doesn't realise they are being watched jump!). The only niggling feature you cannot turn off is a green flashing indicator light below the lense. I have put black plastic tape over this because I want the camera to be unnoticed at the front of my house. Picture is good considering the price and it works with all the free mobile apps.

Possibly my fault...I normally jump straight into setting things up...but this time, I thought I should follow the manual to save some time. But the manual is a "direct translation of the chinese language", how do I know this? I'm chinese, I can see the grammars and phrases being translated....probably done straight from google translate :)

Not it is working...except for audio...surprise surprise...no instruction on audio setup. Cheap, does what a cheap Camera does. Nasty, hard to set up. But fear not...Mr Google can help.

Unless you are a networking wizard - don't bother – The hardware is fine , but the software and instruction manual are incomprehensible without in depth understanding of networking. I have spent approximately 4 hours trying to get this thing working on my Apple network and failed utterly. I do not recommend it to anyone who isn't a network professional. Not worth the cash . good quality hardware , cheap everything else

Fair - grainy picture, poor night vision – Night vision is poor, resolution is grainy......not as good as other similar IP cameras I have. Setup is tricky, and you need to have good IT skills to get it up any running. Would be good to provide model number for equivalent Foscam to set up iOS app - IP cam Viewer Pro. Good value for money. User manual is good. Picture quality low, night vision poor.

I can control all functions now from both Sec Spy and the Kogan camera directly. The only issue is audio. I can't get this to function and have emailed support. The night vision is set via a sensor on the front so is automatic. You can't turn it off as far as I can tell.

It may well be wiser to purchase an original Foscam brand if you want better quality and better support at only a few dollars more. Looks good. Cheap and simple functions. Value for money. Audio function not working.

Hopeless to set up – I dont think this camera is for anyone who is not IP literate.. I have spent 6 hours trying different settings to install over ethernet direct connect without success. The manual is hopeless or is only written for chinese boffins. it makes reference to pages that don't exist. I would like to know the original manufacturer so I can get direct support. Kogan has not answered my enquiry. Seems to pan/tilt OK Setup Manual is terrible.

eventually got in working on my LAN wires and wirless and after a struggle over the internet using No-IP. I have still not worked out how to switch off the the night vision which makes the colours look purple in daylight. My biggest help came from YouTube and searching for answers. I suppose you get what you pay for and it is working! Cheap Mostly the manual which is nearly incomprehensible.

Cheap and functional – Camera was delivered well packaged in 3 working days with enough instructions to easily set up and access through my internal wifi network. well. Image quality is quite reasonable for 640x480 and night vision is good. Works with many ip cam apps through my iPhone. Lots of settings to adjust makes it difficult to set up for the novice. Found plenty of advice online though which helped.
