If you're cashed up, go for it. The bike has plenty of power and is definately a lot of fun to ride. The bike is not heavy and once you've dialed in the suspension and addressed the jetting issue its great. I can keep up with anyone on this bike, just can't afford the maintenance. Next bike definately a 2 stroke, much cheaper to maintain and better resale.
Good looking machine, sounds great once changed the pipe to the motocross version, electric start. Good performance from little engine!
Had to spend $800 on suspension upgrade, was undersprung and over valved for my 95kg ( ready to ride). The maintenance is ok for valves but counterbalanced by piston wear. Piston and ring changes every 40 hours cost $650. Straight up you need to change jetting also. Manual says main bearing to be changed at 80 hours hobby use, cant wait for that bill.
awesome its been a dream to own maintenance is easy ive never do anyting to the valves she goes sweet i service it every 300km and in 120hours of riding never misses a beat an in depth discussion with ktm servicing arents said nobody ever follows ktm scedule its written in the light of extreme race situation which is what the bike is a race bike tho theyve never replaced crank shaft bearings and based on thier advise ive had no trouble change that oil alot and you will be sweet
just about everything ive had the bike for 6 months in that time ive covered 4500km of single trail gnarly hil climbs just about anything you could throw it at and have found it to be fantastic all round love it
only a couple of things the silencer dismantled itself fixing bolts were broken on delivery internally so the silencer wore internally and snapped in two after a bump replaced it with an akrapovic which sounds and performs awseome
