Kuller KPG42-I
MPN: KPG42-i2 reviews
The unit I received had a faulty carburettor causing the engine to surge. The company was very good to deal with. They exchanged the faulty unit with all transport costs covered. Expect to have to add oil and fuel to this and any generator you buy. They cannot be shipped unless dry. The unit has worked perfectly for me. I connect it to my house via a change over switch during power blackouts. I can run everything I need. Sometimes you do have to pick and choose when high wattage appliance are used. It will run my electric hot water heat pump at the same time as lights, TV, internet, PC, etc. You need a 7500w machine and a 32A changeover switch if you want to run multiple high wattage appliances at the same time. The unit is quite small and doesn't take up much room when stored. The power produced is very stable when you are under 3500w output. It starts easily. Things that could be improved are the addition of an ECO switch. Some wheels and a handle would be good to improve portability. A quieter muffler would also be good, but the noise level is in-line with similar units in the neighbourhood. An ECO switch would also help with noise when only low output wattage is required.
Purchased in at Catch for $500.
can't recommend – I bought this generator to use during blackouts. First problem - no oil when delivered & difficult to add oil and ensure oil level is correct. Second problem - excessive noise when running. Needs cover to reduce noise. Third problem - supposed to supply peak wattage of 4200W but actually cuts out at 3500W so it can't be used with appliances that have a high starting current.
