I was looking for flights from Melbourne to Bangkok and came across Kupi.com while comparing prices for different dates. I wasn't in a rush to book, so I decided to spend some time looking into cheaper options and working out exactly what was included in the price. Among the offers was a Smart Route with flights on two different airlines. The price caught my interst, although the journey took noticeably longer than a direct flight. I had to study the layover conditions carefully, as the tickets were separate. This meant I had to check the transit visa requirements myself, allow enough time between floghts and get to grips with the baggage and check-in rules for each flight. In the end, I chose an option with a layover of several hours rather than the shortest one available. Yes, I had to spend more time at the airport, but I felt more relaxed knowing I had a decent buffer between flights. The booking itself was fairly simple. I paid by bank card and received the e-ticket by email. After that, I also checked the booking details with the airlines to make sure everything was correct. What I liked most was being able to compare flight combinations that I probably wouldn't have thought of putting together myself. Of course, you need to read the conditions carefully, especially when the tickets are booked separately. But the option I chose suited both my budget and my travel plans.
