L'Oreal Paris Casting Creme Gloss 316 Plum

Perfect colour match – Dyed my hair last night using this after reading some very mixed reviews. I am very happy with the colour. I knew it would make my hair darker but it's nowhere near black. Dyed it after not washing my hair for a week so that might contribute better to the colour holding. Has a beautiful purple/brown shimmer that is visible in most lights. Left my hair soft and shiny, everyone at work today is shocked I only used box dye. The colour washed off the bench tops and my skin easily and the dye itself didn't have an overwhelming chemical smell like I've experienced in the past. I have psoriasis on my scalp also which was not irritated by the dye at all. I would definitely use this again. I have quite long thick hair too and one box was more than enough to cover it all.

Not what I had hoped for – I used the plum colour on my brown hair. I ended up with black hair with only vague tinges of "plum" in direct light that only lasted a few days before washing out. I was left with dull black/ really dark brown hair. Not at ALL what I had hoped for. Very disappointed in this colour.

Don't waste your money – I have very long, dark brown hair. I bought two boxes in plum, I wanted a nice purple tone to my hair but instead my hair is now black with very little to no purple tone. As stated on the box it is actually recommended for very dark to black hair but this looks rubbish. I have used this same line in the past but in a dark brown colour and even that made my hair pretty much black. Do not recommend!!
