  7.1 Dark Ash Blonde

I have used L'Oreal Excellence Creme for many many years and I am so disappointed with the colour when I do my hair. The colour fades within 2-3 weeks. I don't know what O'Loreal has done to the formula - maybe by adding Hylalluronic Acid it has changed it and it doesn't cover the greys!! Im going to try a different product and hopefully I will find one that lasts longer, cover greys and one that I am completely happy with. NOT HAPPY JAN!!!! Show details

I have used L'Oreal Excellence for decades. I thought there was something wrong with it last time I used it! I now see there are many other reviews with the same complaints. I shook the bottle longer than usual to mix it, as it was so thick! I couldn't squeeze it out of the bottle. It made a terrible mess as it would finally squirt out and go… Read more

everywhere. I actually hurt my hand trying to get it out. I did the regrowth and was going to put the rest on for a few minutes. That's when I noticed that it hadn't mixed properly! There were lumps and pale bits. As my hair has been very dry lately and falling out a lot, this really worried me! I added water to the product as a hairdresser told me once, to make it gentler on the previously coloured bits, and just left it on for a minute. It is a yellowish colour whereas usually it is very ashy until after the first wash. There are places where the regrowth has not coloured. I will have to find another brand. Why haven't they listened to all the people who did reviews earlier? I hadn't coloured mine for 8 weeks because it was so dry. The last mixture was too runny. So disappointed.

No longer covers grey hair 100% as it says – There must be a change. It no longer covers my grey hair as well as it once did. The info on the bottles looks as though it is written in Russian? The shampoo and conditioner is fabulous. But I use it to cover my grey hair effectively and it now doesn’t. Sadly, I will be trying to find another product. Show details

Love it – I recently bought Excellence Creme from Woolworths at Belmont NSW and found that there was colour rube in the box. I love this product but very disappointed that it was missing. I can’t find my docket so now I have to buy another one. Show details

100% Grey Coverage??? – Second time I’ve used this product. Its been over 3 months since I’ve dyed my hair. So my hair was completely natural with no other hair dye products in it. My hair throws red to warm colours so opted to try the Cool Creme 7.11 Ultra Ash Blonde. Disappointed as its still thrown some red tinge and has not taken to the grey hairs after waiting 40mins before washing out. Show details

Terrible colour and coverage – Very red undertone (not ashy at all) and it didn’t cover any greys despite being on for a full 30 mins. Now my greys are even more noticeable.. as the colour is very flat & greys are standing out. So confused?!? If it doesn’t cover white hairs in 30 minutes… what’s the point of it. Also expensive compared to other brands. I’ve taken a photo of the product so I remember to never spend my money on it again. Show details

Terrible! – Really terrible ash. The worst I have ever used. This turned my hair gold brown. How is that even possible with a supposed ash colour. I hate the result Show details

Dark Ash Blonde came out Dark Brown – Ruined my hair colour that had been lightened over time. Significantly darker than advertised. Very disappointing. Show details

Absolutely horrible – Absolutely hate the colour. I had no colour in my hair from dyes. Used the 7.1 to have a more ash colour than brown and colour a few greys and it turned to an orange/red colour. How is that ASH? The grey areas of my hair are now a brighter orange. Would not recommend this product. Show details

A pity the quality of protective gloves provided in the product is now so inferior – The product is easy to apply and does not leave any residue. Because of the colour i use it does not leave any stain on my skin. The dye lasts for approximately six weeks when it has to be reapplied due to regrowth' Show details

Darker than expected and colour washed out – The colour was completely different to that shown on the box, and even allowing for photography and printing inks, it could not be described as a reasonable indication of the expected outcome. It was so much darker than the sample on the pack. I would describe it as black/brown with the emphasis on black, not dark ash blond. The black aspect was… Read more

very present. My hair is dark blonde with a couple of centimetres of grey roots at the front hairline. However, fortunately for me, in this instance, the colour was noticeably lighter after the first wash and was completely gone within 2 weeks of daily washing. So now I’m back to where I was with dark blond hair with grey roots. Complete waste of my time and money. Definitely won’t use L’Oreal products again.

Very bad gray coverage – It is my 3rd try and after waiting an hour, my grays are still there. Very bad formula. Don't recommend. Wasre of money. At the same time one of the most expensive. Never ever buy again. Show details

Excellent choice – Excellent choice for a do it yourself. I had blondish, streaks, dry, thin, and dull hair. I tried 7.1 and was very happy with the outcome. Cream after colouring was excellent. My hair looks beautiful and repaired! I recommend this product 100%.

Excellent results – I was a little hesitant to try this, but I'm really glad I did! My hair had blonde foils and dark regrowth. I applied the dye all over and left it for 30 minutes. The result was a more even light brown colour, I can still see the lightness of the foils and the darkness of the regrowth but it's blended it all together really nicely. The colour… Read more

matches the exact shade on the box.

As far as applying the dye, I am generally pretty sensitive to strong smelling chemicals but this wasn't too bad. I loved the conditioner, my hair feels beautiful and soft now. Was worried my hair would turn out dry but it's not at all. Very happy!
