I went online and ordered 3x queen sized 1000 thread count fitted bed sheets I only have queen sized beds I got the email confirmation of the order and I double checked it and it said double size I immediately emailed Lakora to cancel the order On the website it said 4.7/5 star review I then googled them and there was a number in Granville Sydney… Read more
and this number was disconnected. I became very worried then I googled the reviews on them that led me here and 1/5 star reviews where many others are saying the 1000 thread count cotton sheets are not cotton at all but are micro fibre. I’ve sent 10 emails to this company and they are refusing to reply The courier today turned up and tried to leave me the order at my door and I refused asking them to take it back and they took it away
I’ve contacted this company on Facebook and they are also not replying
After 2 weeks on the bed the fibres in the sheets have little balls formed. Very uncomfortable and scratchy on the skin. Have contacted supply and no reply. Show details
Sheet set is lime green. Delivered product is sage green. Show details
Sheets were advertised as deep sided which they were not. Advertised free returns, has taken 3 weeks of arguing to get a return address only to find we need to pay for the postage. Show details
Feeling ripped off & lied to – FACT - This company should be shut down for their lies & false labelling! I bought 2 pair of "Organic Cotton Sheets" (bulls##t lies!) but they didn't send me an invoice or any acknowledgement of my purchase until I chased them up numerous times via email & facebook messages plus commented on another person's post. Finally "Orange Lakora"… Read more
replied & said they couldn't email me because I'd omitted my email address (more bulls##t lies) 3 or 4 more emails, incorrect tracking number given (more bulls##t lies) & back & forth emails & finally my package was ?on it's way. My frequent requests for an invoice were ignored until finally "Orange Lakora" replied with:
Hello customer
Our products are tax-free, sorry we cannot provide you with an invoice
Yes I should have returned them & asked for a refund but with no invoice & all the lies already I figured I didn't need the stress so I just put it down to lesson learned. I hope my review & all the others helps prevent another person being ripped off.
Don't buy from Lakora Home! – Not 100% Organic Cotton at all, so mad right now, waited forever to receive two sets of bed sheets and two mattress protectors for my kids, now have to start the whole refund process and send them back, as they are lying about the material. This should be illegal and I'll be making a complaint to the appropriate organisations to get them closed down for dishonesty! Show details
Do not buy from Lakora! – Do not buy from Lakora! They delivered a poor quality fake product and I’m also pretty sure they stole my credit card details too! Within 48 hours of my purchase I had to cancel my card because there was large transactions being incurred that weren’t mine Show details

Not cotton at all, blatantly lying – Edit: After much public reviews, I finally received a refund. They were trying to convince me to remove my reviews first, I refused & they finally sent me one anyway. But they kept lying. Refer to pics & correspondence. I also did a burn test. Shrivels like polyester. I should have trusted the previous Google reviews, these sheets are 100%… Read more
polyester, they're trying to pass off microfibre sheets as organic cotton. The tags may say 100% cotton but but they have their own factories so this is fake. After initially gas lighting me that it's cotton, ignoring me when I emailed them the burn test, blocking/removing my Google review, blocking my personal fb account from their fb page, so I created a public page to write my review, they finally started to offer a refund & "real" cotton sheets, but the damage is done. But the fact the fabric tags are fake & they're blaming that on staff & sharing a factory with other companies, I don't buy this excuse. Where was this excuse last week when I sent them the burn test? So I prefer to leave my review to warn customers that their deception is intentional & only when shamed publicly over & over again & not being able to silence you, they then want to buy your silence. As I said, even confronting them with the truth of the burn test was not enough for them to offer me a refund last week. It's lies upon lies with them. If people keep removing their reviews about this company, how can we prevent others from getting lied to? 3 excuses were used: 1. I should bought the Egyptian cotton ones. 2. It was a warehouse staff issue. 3. I bought the micrifibre sheets. (Refer to pics of tag & packaging that claims it's cotton).
Cotton sheets made from microfibre – I ordered some "organic washed cotton" sheets from Lakora Australia. They arrived with "cotton" on the care label and a packaging label stating "2000 TC" which they most definitely weren't, and this wasn't part of the marketing anyway so it seemed odd. The sheets were extremely thin and soft, and did not feel like cotton. Washed them before… Read more
using, and noted that they didn't wrinkle, which is very odd for cotton.
While they were on the bed, I noticed static electricity generated by them in the dark. Cotton doesn't do this.
So I snipped a bit off the inside hem of a pillowcase, and subjected it to the "burn" test. It melted into a tiny, hard, shiny ball.
Microfibre, nylon or polyester or similar.
Wrote to the company, who stated they were cotton with a "special treatment applied to make them soft". Advised them of the burn test result. Silence.
Their "returns policy" looks good on the website, but when you go to it, it's long, contradicts itself, and the customer has to pay for the shipping.
This doesn't apply here, as the product was misleadingly sold as cotton when it's actually man-made fibre.
But it's a classic case of a company looking trustworthy (lots of positive reviews, and the odd angry one) when they really are not.
